This is my first visit to any Kilwins and I debated treating myself to some ice cream @3.99 for one scoop cup and I am so glad I did. I got the marsh-mallow s’more flavor. It was awesome. It had loads of chocolate fudge swirls with choc graham pieces and marshmallow swirls. Very rich and delicious but so good. If you want to share a cup the two scoop cup would be better deal @ 5.75. They had dipped apples that looked very good along with all kinds of chocolate candies.

This Kilwin’s doesn’t have as much to offer as the one in Blowing Rock, but what we did get was great. I got the seasonal pumpkin pie ice cream in a(still warm) waffle cone. It basically tasted like sweet pumpkin pie filling and had nice large chunks of pie crust in it. They didn’t seem to have as many flavor offerings as the other Kilwin’s I have been to, and were low on fudge flavors. The staff was super friendly despite it being the end of what I’m sure was a long Saturday. There had also just been a large group of boisterous college students that came through, but the staff still maintained a cheery attitude and was super helpful. My mom got the Kilwin’s mud, which I tried, and it was nice and chock full of chocolate. I’d definitely suggest this place for ice cream as a dessert. Pick up some fudge or dipped items to take home for later-everything I’ve had from here has been great.

An old school ice cream parlor along with homemade fudge, caramel apples and more… this place is any sweet-tooth’s heaven! Ermahgerd, this place has no words. I am still in a sugar coma three days after my visit to Kilwin’s! Upon arrival your life will change. The sweet scents of chocolate will greet your nose, your taste buds will be next after passing the sample fudge section and your eyes willing be popping out of your head after you see how serious Kilwin’s does caramel apples. My trip was about ice cream, and boy, was it a treat! With so many choices, testing was a necessity! I had a few samples, but settled on a scoop of the Hendersonville Mudslide and the Peppermint stick – with being in Hendersonville for the holidays I figured this was a perfect chocolaty mint mixture. The two flavors complimented one another perfectly. I couldn’t have dreamed of something better. The ice cream is on the pricier side. Two ice cream cups came out to $ 11 and some change. Keep in mind, this ice cream is homemade and worth every cent you will be spending. Pro-tip,(if you live in the area), be sure to ask for a loyalty punch card. Each ice-cream you get you receive a punch on your card, once you hit your 8th you get the next one free!

Kilwin’s has that old timey ice cream parlor feel. Like you’re transported back into time. Display cases full of fresh fudge and chocolates — will make your mouth water and teeth ache all at the same time. Now let’s get to the ice cream. I didn’t count the number of flavors but there were a ton. My kids got some crazy brightly multicolored Superman flavor of which they ate every last molecule(and I think has permanently stained/tattooed their tongues blue). The Mrs. had salted caramel — it was incredibley rich and smooth and delicious. «Trendy» flavors can be risky if you don’t get them just right — well, they nailed it. I chose the New Orleans Praline in a fresh crispy sugar cone. It was like butter pecan on flavor steroids — so gooood. The staff is super friendly and patient while you taste samples and make very important life decisions. We all left fat, happy and with sticky smiles/fingers!

The ice cream and the fudge were both great! It was a perfect stop for dessert. We tried rocky road and Hendersonville mud ice cream and were not disappointed. And of course we couldn’t leave without some fudge!

If we are in town, this is always a part of our after dinner plan. The choices are good, the staff are a hoot, and the portions are plentiful. Want to save a penny? Order a cup with two HALF scoops. You get two flavors for the price of one.

Come for the ice cream, take home some fudge, chocolate, caramel apples, etc. This little shop, on the main drag in downtown Hendersonville(across from Mast General) was a nice stop for my diabetic dad because they had no sugar added ice cream — yay! It is so hard to find treats for him and I was happy to see that he had some choices at Kilwin’s. He got a small bowl of vanilla/chocolate swirl and was happy with that. I noticed the huge collection of chocolates, truffles, turtles, chocolate covered marshmallows and fudge but since it was hot out and the start of our walk down Main St, I didn’t get anything. They also had Mexican Cola if you want to give that sugary snack a try. Cute little store, with a few small tables/chairs indoors, and seating just outside if the day allows for it.

loved the chocolate pecan fudge! the plain chocolate wasn’t as good though. it was a little chewy inside. an exact description of the consistency is escaping me right now but the pecan fudge was waaay better. definitely looking forward to a return visit so I can try one of the many other goodies this place has to offer. ICECREAM!!!

Too many temptations to list. The cappuccino ice cream with a little hot fudge made my day.

Come here every time I’m in town, and their fudge is TODIEFOR. I usually stick with the ice cream though, and that is also superb! I love the atmosphere of the shop, and the employees are always super friendly. I was in Michigan once, and they had two Kilwin’s on one street, and even combined they weren’t as good as this one!

Been here several times & always feel welcome. I especially enjoy if I can catch them making hot caramel popcorn in a big copper kettle… YUMM-O! You won’t be disappointed if you go here. Their toffee is one of my fav’s. They also have caramel dipped apples & lots of other goodies. Nice atmosphere, too. This is one place I don’t mind driving around Hendersonville looking for a parking spot!

They have some dynamite ice cream here. For quality, richness, and flavor I rate Kilwin’s on a par with other high quality ice creams such as Häagen-Dazs. And the selection of flavors is quite good, too; some of them are unique to the store. I’ve enjoyed the Coconut, Michigan Cherry, various chocolate flavors, and an intense Rum Raisin. Unfortunately, they no longer make my favorite, Irish Cream. The store also sells homemade fudge, chocolates, and truffles. The fudge is made there and poured out to cool on marble slabs, and cut into thick slices as I remember seeing it done on Mackinac Island. Friendly service. Reasonable prices(considering you’re getting something better than other places). And on a hot summer’s day they have air conditioning. Yay!

I had a toasted coconut scoop in a waffle cone and my sister had the peach. Both cones were good. Service was good, they let us sample icecream flavors and also let us sample the white chocolate covered popcorn. We will visit again.
