Yum! They have the BEST pancakes in the area. They give you real maple syrup, so good! Its a little pricey but worth it. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is usually decent.

HORRIBLE service, mediocre food, over-priced, and long wait. This was THEWORST breakfast experience I have ever had. I came here with my boyfriend a couple weekends ago and it was awful. I would highly discourage anyone from coming here. We got there and there was one couple ahead of us and a few people behind us. There were four empty tables, but the waitstaff continued to ignore everyone waiting for tables. We stood there for a good 20 minutes before someone even came over and talked to us. When we finally sat down, the waitress came to take our drink order and brought us back coffee and orange juice in dirty glasses. She was inattentive and did not come back so that we could get a new glass for the orange juice so we were stuck with nothing to drink. When she finally came to take our order, she was rude and just took it and walked off. We sat at the table waiting for our three pancakes for over 30 minutes. When she brought them, they were not what we had ordered. We had ordered cranberry pancakes. My boyfriend told her that there were no cranberries in the pancakes and she said oh yeah they are inside. So we ate them, because at this point, we were starving and sick of being in there. No cranberries anywhere in the pancakes. The waitress never came to check on us or refill the coffee the entire time we were sitting there, and we watched her do so with other tables. We finished our mean and sat and waited for the check and she never came. We finally stood up to give them a hint that we were ready to go and still we stood there for 10 minutes waiting. When someone(not our waitress) finally came over and asked if we were ok and got out waitress to check us out, we were so mad we could not even get the name of the horrible waitress we had had. After we left we called the manager and his response was, well I am not sure what you want me to do about it but I will take it into consideration. If a customer calls upset about the experience they have with your restaurant with VALID complaints(of which he was already aware) you do something to apologize for it. We will NEVER return here and we will continually discourage others from dining here. Horrible service for over-priced, mediocre food is not worth it.

Really fantastic food and awesome staff! Went for breakfast on both Saturday and again on Sunday because it was so good! Recommend the chocolate chip pancakes, combination burrito and the Eggs Benedict(EB on Sunday’s only!). Annie C was our waitress both days, and she’s a riot! Be sure to take home some of their fresh apple cider — it’s SO delish! Can’t wait to to return — someday.

I love breakfast. This one however was underwhelming. I got the ‘Not so hungry man’ .Coffee was weak and watery, Potatoes were a bit underdone and very few and the pancake was flat and doughy. For a pancake house I expected much more from the pancake itself. Good: The atmosphere was great, server was friendly, and the syrup was awesome!

I had breakfast here after my first visit to New Hampshire. This restaurant has a rich history. I admire the fact that this restaurant offers most local high schoolers their first job. I ordered French toast, 2 eggs and sausage. I like my French toast«extra fluffy» but these French toast were a bit flat. However, they still tasted so good. If I ever take a trip back I would love to have breakfast here again.

If you are looking for a local tasty place to enjoy the best meal of the day, then check out the Pancake House. I had read all the reviews about waiting around and bad service and all that but we didn’t have that experience. We went at prime time on Saturday morning, waited for 15 minutes, spoke with each other and enjoyed each other’s time while waiting. When a table opened up, we sat down and ordered. The lady taking care of us was attentive, busy, sure but she took good care of us. Granted we are easy to please, just bring us food and keep our waters and coffees filled and we will be happy. The food was awesome and unbelievably priced. 4 of us(3 over 6’5″ and 250 lbs) ate for under $ 40. I had the meat breakfast burrito and found it quite enjoyable. My wife ordered a meal that came with a pancake, she ordered a blueberry pancake which the chef made without blueberry’s. Our waitress noticed this on the way out, gave me the plain pancake for free and brought out a blueberry as soon as the chef had time to make one. Winning all around. I love these kinds of establishments and can’t wait to have an excuse to head back that way.

Excellent food! Great service! They were very busy today, but the wait was minimal and the food was fast and hot. The server was great!

This place was slammed when we arrived. Our waitress was very friendly but we waited nearly an hour for french toast, pancakes and eggs. I heard so much about their eggs Benedict but they only serve it on Sundays. :-(2 basic egg plate and ham is what I ordered and the ham tasted strange. Perhaps it was cured differently than the southern way. The prices are very reasonable and i like the fact that they sell homemade ice cream and maple syrup on the side.

Absolutely perfect every time. Been going for over 20 years and the consistency is mind-boggling! Atmosphere is bright and open with a very traditional New England feel. Service is usually good, but I have had my share of scary, mean waitresses over the years. It’s been excellent for the past couple of years. All in all, I’d give this restaurant an A+!!

We come here often. The waffles and sausage are a delight, and the prices and service are excellent. This is a must for tourist and local alike.

If your in town or passing through and you don’t mind waiting a bit for a seat you can experience a great breakfast and a wan atmosphere.

Great little spot! Charming interior, very good basic breakfast fare, and the service was just fine! I imagine that if this place gets busy, it could be a little spotty because it didn’t seem to be heavily staffed, but I would say it was a very good breakfast place on your way to Pats Peak.

The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Would I go back again? No. The service was terrible. We walked right in no wait for a table on Saturday.(Sure when we left line out the door.) the older woman in charge was nice to start off with, but after taking our food order… she never came back to check on us. No refill on the coffee… until I asked about our order 40 minutes later. Her response was, we only have one cook. :/Really?! On a Saturday?! Wow! They served other people that came in after us. And that waitress couldn’t understand why there was so much for food for her table?! My guess it was our order!!! As I said… We will not return. The food wasn’t great enough to bring us back for a second chance.

Pretty good. Got there around 11am or so on the Sunday of a long weekend to a full restaurant. Sat in line for a table, and it took about 10 or 15 minutes for a seat. Ordered up the hungry man breakfast(3 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 slices of toast. $ 8.25). Ended up with blueberry pancakes(actually ordered one blueberry, and one regular, but the they messed up the order. nbd though). The pancakes were good, not exceptional, but good. Homefries were cooked a little less than I like so they were firm. Eggs, and toast were very good, the bacon was good, the sausages seem like the frozen kind from the supermarket. I’m not picky, so that doesn’t really phase me. Overall like I said, a pretty good breffast, but I always hold a country breffast to a higher standard than other breffasts though.

Just your basic breakfast, but done well, and with friendly service. Gets a little slow on weekends, but if you go early you won’t wait. Plus it is served with delicious real maple syrup made on-site. They also have an ice cream stand in the summer, but we’ve never tried it so I can’t speak to it.

Best soft serve ice cream! You get a lot for a good price they’re open pretty late & the waffle cones are super fresh! breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s not my favorite place for it.
