I love this library! I have been coming here for the last few years soon after I moved to the area. Hours pass by when you’re reading a nice book with a cup of coffee. And now that I have a little one, I have been attending the morning reading program-lapsit lamps with her. It is a 30-minute reading/activity program that is very fun and keeps my 5 month old occupied and entertained!

Love this library. It is very clean and big. Two levels of space. They have a kids area and teen zone upstairs. If you get easily distracted then bring earplugs if you choose to sit downstairs below the kids zone bc the running above can be VERY distracting and loud!!! Also, this place can get very crowded so finding a good place to sit and get work done becomes problematic sometimes. My main complaints about this library is: the kids that come after school and sit at the tables downstairs in groups can be very loud and throwing stuff and since its near the back, the staff isnt watching them-I think they should be required to sit upstairs in the teen area IMO. Also, the 2 hour limit on the rooms is RIDICULOUS. I don’t understand Henrico library with this rule. I think it should be up to 4 hours and I also think it should be a rule that if ALL the rooms are empty with no reservations in sight, that people needing somewhere quiet to study should be able to use the rooms until a reservation comes thru. They will kick you out the rooms so quick and that is ridiculous-they act like the rooms make them money or something. Its very weird. Anywho, overall this library is big and I like it except for the few annoyances mentioned.

A beautiful library with many services available to residents of Henrico County. I am glad to see the place is well used(sometimes even crowded) every time I visit. The library has everything you would expect(books) as well as those services you would hope to see… free wifi, lots of multi-media selections, computer lab, study area with computers, places to plug in your own laptop if you bring your own. There is a lecture hall for special event and a children’s area for story time. I am glad to live in a county where my tax dollars actually provide me with services I can actually use(compared to where I lived before).

This place is awesome! If you have a crap ton of schoolwork to plow through, this is the library for you. Be sure to check out the bottom floor tables that are on the backside by the big windows. There is a little garden and fountain out there and I’ve seen geese and other misc critters roll through. That and the art on the walls is a nice touch if you have to be stuck inside at the library all day. The usual library basics: free wifi, good multi-media selections and a great kids section too. The study area desks/tables all have plugs for laptops They also have a good section of county government handouts and flyers by the front desk by the stairs. Tip: Don’t be one of those jerks who talks on your cell phone in the library. The staff will harass you!

As the rating suggests… yeah this is a pretty cool library. Only been here for a meeting every few months. I’ve never actually walked through the threshold of the library part but it looks like there A LOT of books. Great job.
