I’m not a crafty person. I may be the least crafty person. But alas I to attempt a DIY project from time to time. Although, I make a great candidate for the«Pinterest Fails» Buzzfeed articles. When I was growing up, my aunt and my babysitters loved crafting so we made a lot of trips to Michael’s. The smell of the place sends me right back to sorting through beads and picking out embroidery thread for my friendship bracelets. Nowadays, when I’m in need of glue, paper, paint, etc. I go to Michael’s. I could spend hours here, mostly because I have no idea where I’m going or know what I’m looking for so I have to walk up and down every aisle. Sometimes twice. Regardless, I enjoy it. I get inspired by all the pretty things and think I can manage a craft or two. As it turns out, if it’s relatively simple and has only a few steps, I can make it work! I often strategically plan a trip when there’s a good sale like my most recent visit. Holiday stuff marked down 25−70% off. GO!!! Even if it’s just for the ornaments. I got glitter, glue, cardstock, paint and paint brushes, the list goes on. I’m set for the holidays. All in all, if you’re going to Michael’s check online for some coupons, print them out, AND send them to your phone. They usually have a couple at one time. If you use one paper version, you can use a mobile version coupon too. Bonus. Happy crafting and wish me luck…
