This is a perfectly lovely diner for the world’s most depressing town, Henryetta, OK(where Taco Bells atrophy into Taco Kings and then wither away to Donut Palaces). I had the hamburger steak — very fresh, but bland, ground chuck. For God’s sake, don’t make the cow do all the work. Break out some garlic powder and Worcestershire, at least. The side salad was flaccid — stop serving this, it makes people hate fresh vegetables. The sweetest young ladies in the world work here and ALL use the one restroom between 7:30 and 8 pm. Plan accordingly. Listen, it’s a long haul from Shawnee to Muskogee. You could do far worse than this earnest establishment. Like the Pig Out Palace in the same town. If only I were kidding…

The food was good and exactly what I would elect from a Diner. My husband has the pepper steak and said it had too many peppers but over it was good. Much better than any of the fast food options around it.

First good sign, a full parking lot. Most everyone is local and obviously repeat customers. Second good sign, grinding their own coffee. Yep, it was very good! Third, everyone takes a hand in servicing the customer. No 9ne is standing around but busy with something productive. The food, excellent, cooked right, quality you can notice. None of that paper thin bacon or low end hash browns. Cooked fresh and delivered hot. Just made my list.

The Diner was convenient to I40, easy off and easy on. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Our meals met our expectations. The roast beef on the hot beef sandwiches was very tender, and the gravy was homemade as well as the mashed potatoes. Restrooms were clean. I would recommend you stop at this restaurant if you want to take a break from Fast Food or franchise restaurants.

Really fast service. My dad and I were definitely the only people who were not locals. The deep fried granny cake was great! It was kind of a mix between a donut and a funnel cake. I would definitely recommend.

Very small buffet. What was on the buffet was very good home cooked southern food. You had three meats to choose from and three vegetables and two desserts. Now the chicken and dumplings were gross they had a very weird taste to them. Everything else was wonderful. The wait staff was friendly but at times let our cups go empty even though they were not that busy. All in all this place was a good stop

The food was ok at best. I sure wouldn’t say it was homemade. We had the brisket special which seemed prepackaged and a bit tough. Service was very friendly and quick. If you’re looking for something other than fast food, this is your bet. Maybe something else on the menu is better.

This is the best country food I have had on the road. I had the big Classic. It was 3 eggs 2 bacon 1 sausage hash browns and a pan cake. The eggs cooked just like I told them the sausage was a big party not a small one the hash browns were light and cooked thru. I will eat here again. Most excellent food.

I had the Kitty’s chicken — jalapeño, salad and baked sweet potato and hubby had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and pinto beans. We both enjoyed our meals. I thought the prices were average and the staff friendly.

Best service! Great atmosphere, wonderful food! I had a grilled chicken club and my husband had his usual chicken fried steak! LOL! Give this one a try!

Stopped by for dinner, but didn’t quite make it inside before they closed for the evening. The place looked good from the outside!

I left Alma, Arkansas in the morning without eating. I’d passed a number of fast food places before stopping in Henryetta. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted but it wasn’t McDonald’s, Burger King, or Taco Bell. I saw Braum’s and remembered that they had more than ice cream and milk. I kept going. I saw Classic Diner and kept thinking about it while I drove further through town. Once I didn’t see much else, I turned around and stopped here. I really wasn’t sure how it worked, but a dear lady told me to sit anywhere. The first person didn’t like me at their table, but… just kidding. I sat at a booth for four, which was probably not the greatest idea, but it never filled up that much, thankfully. I had seen a booth for two, but didn’t see it again. Someone asked me what I wanted to drink, and I told her that I wasn’t sure if I wanted breakfast or lunch, so I didn’t yet know. Another person asked me, and I asked for sweet tea. I still couldn’t really decide on food, and she recommended the special of chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, texas toast for $ 5.99. She had to explain what chicken-fried steak was, and I ordered it. Since it was the Monday special, it arrived quickly, including the gravy with a side of gravy – there was a lot of gravy. I liked it. I’m not sure whether I would order it again or not. It felt like a heart attack on a plate, but I ate everything except the toast. Everyone in the place seemed to be enjoying what they had. The staff were all friendly, and obviously, dedicated to superior service. There was one downfall. I managed to sit at booth that had not been wiped, and I used a napkin to try to clean or at least, move the stuff away. She apologized and got a towel immediately. There seem to be quite a few home grown places along I-40/old Route 66 like this. They’re all worth a visit.

Started to eat at Braums, glad we didn’t. Food excellent, service exceptional, décor great. We had the bacon cheeseburger and it was very good. Meat had a very flavor. If it was frozen you could not tell it. Would recommend eating here to anyone. This was better than the Meers burgers we had Saturday.

The only place I found in a few different searches in Henryetta was this diner. And it was well worth the stop before hitting the road to Shreveport as there isn’t much between. Being in an independent rock band on the road, I was becoming very tired of $ 5 subway and weak coffee and this was a welcomed change. I ordered a veggie omelette which was served with toast or biscuit and came with a freshly made hash brown. The food was surprisingly clean. ie: not greasy as found in a lot of diners. All that for $ 4.99 including tax and fresh brewed coffee for $ 1.19 Absolute bargain. Friendly service, complimentary refills of coffee, clean restrooms. If I ever return through that area, will definitely be stopping by again. Although it seemed like a spot where a lot of locals go regularly, we felt extremely welcomed which isn’t always the case when passing through small towns.
