Raechel’s Salon and Spa

I like my haircut. Rachael is really nice. This place is good if you want a wash, haircut and style — $ 75. Her price for just a haircut (no wash and no style) wa too pricey -$ 70 not including tip. I don’t get my haircut often but I believe average I’m use to paying is $ 45 – 50 so you can see there is quite a difference.

Raechel was so sweet. I don’t really become a regular at places just because I’m really indecisive and picky. However, she was so sweet and great that I really want to keep coming back. She listened to what I wanted for my hair cut even though I was vague but it still turned out amazing. She answered a lot of my questions about hair and styles. I’ll definitely be coming back :). My only regret was that I wish I could have told her how amazing everything was.

I found Raechel from Unilocal and I couldn’t be happier with the services I’ve gotten. I went a few months ago to get my hair cut and she did a great job. She listens to what you want and is very talented. After talking to her a few minutes about her background/​passions I could tell she is a true artist at heart, and it really shows in her hair design. She definitely knows what looks good, and wants her clients to be happy. She is equally sweet as she is talented at hair design. She gave me one of my top 3 favorite hair cuts of my life.
I also got my eyebrows done here yesterday and was equally impressed as I was with the hair cut I received. I’ve gotten my eyebrows from a few people in the Bay — from Napa to San Francisco — and although, for the most part, they all did a pretty good job none of them were as thorough as Raechel. Most people leave a few strays in the middle, or on the sides. Raechel got all of the strays that I didn’t like while still leaving them looking natural — and not too thin. She is now my go– to eyebrow person.
I would recommend Raechel for any service she provides. She has an eye for detail, is an artist, has excellent customer service, and is fun to talk with.

I have been coming here for over a year now and wouldn’t dare go elsewhere! Like most men, I used to go to those 30 min or less haircuts/​barbershops for cheap, and you get what you pay for… This is not one of those places. Here at Raechel’s you get personalized service and all the attention you deserve. Raechel is meticulous with her haircuts. She always asks what I want this time, and I always leave with a great looking style and smile. Raechel provides a scalp massage at the end of the experience that is a special treat! The scalp massage is my favorite part! The price is well worth the services provided at Raechel’s Salon and Spa.

Raechel is a hair ARTIST. She transformed my hair and literally gave me the best hair experience I have had in 29 years! I can’t even express how much I love my new haircut and color. I found her salon via Unilocal.Please give Raechel a visit, what a talent and hidden gem in Hercules. Shi shi services that don’t break the bank.
Added bonus: It’s tucked in a little center with a amazing bakery and asian food store!

I would give zero stars if it was an option. The only things I liked about this place were the kindness and hospitality given while there; that just doesn’t cut it though. You can’t cover up a bad job with kindness. So what really ticked me off are the following:
* I was charged way too much for a manicure and pedicure. $ 60 for both? I’m a broke college student who should have gone somewhere else, where I’d honestly get the same job done, if not better. Like come on, I normally spend less than $ 35 for both! I’m not a walking wallet.
* Van forgot I scheduled an appointment for both a mani and a pedi, so I had to pay separately and it just took way longer than necessary to do both. I’m just very glad I didn’t have anything else scheduled afterwards.
* To top it all off, I got a bad job after returning to remove the gel nail polish because I ended up with four fingernails that were not filed well. (Check the picture)
Looks like I won’t be coming back.

After a long stressful week, decided to treat myself to a pedicure! The BF unexpectedly tagged along. I had an appointment at 4:45 and walked in at that time. The salon is decorated nice and is very clean! My BF and I were greeted by Van and immediately set up for the pedicure. Van dos an amazing job! Hands down, the best pedicure I’ve ever had. She takes her time in cleaning and smoothing down your feet. The best part is her foot massage with hot towels and hot stones! She takes her time with the massage making sure to hit all spots on your feet. The BF decided to get a pedicure as well and Van made his feet «beautiful»! he definitely enjoyed the pampering!
They offer manicures, pedicures, hair services, waxing and massages! This will definitely be my go to spot for pedicures! Will also go back to get a haircut from the owner Raechel soon! Definitely appreciate the customer service here!

I do not often leave reviews but my feet are soft and beautiful !! I do Muay Thai not to mention working out and playing other sports, long story short my feet take a beating. And like any other guy I hardly if ever take the time to manage the care of my feet. So my sister decided that we should go get pedicures, being a lazy Saturday I agreed. So we spent 20 minutes on Unilocal drugging through the many nail shops; my sister did at least. But thank lord she found Raechel’s and Van.
Van did an amazing job on some rough looking feet. She did the work of 10 people and I must say that my feet feel/​look marvelous darling! The massage and scrub was to die for. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and hit all the right spots. I will definitely be coming back for another pedicure and maybe adding a hour massage.

Finally! After three years and visits to almost every nail salon in the area, I have finally found a place I loved! Made an appointment for a pedicure Saturday at 2, arrived a little early and was take right away! Van spent a lot of time making sure my nails, cuticles and heels were up to par before moving on to a scrub. You pay $ 5 extra for this but it is well worth it. Then van massaged my legs with lotion and oil, the best massage I have ever received at a nail salon. Lastly came hot stones and warm towels. This is what I have been looking for in a pedicure experience the whole time. My pedicure was $ 30 and it was well worth it! I was offered water multiple times and told not to worry just relax! It was amazing! The salon is very clean and Raechel was just as sweet as Van! They offer massages, hair care, makeup, waxing and manicures and pedicures! I highly recommend and will be back!

Raechel cut and deep conditioned my hair back in March. I loved it!
My hair grows really slowly so I was afraid of cutting anything at all. She listened to everything I asked for and made sure I was okay with everything she was taking off.
The salon itself is small, serene, and private. The experience was relaxing and personable. Don’t change a thing!

One more update to my review :) Raechel has cut my hair a few times now and does such a great job. I consider my hairstyle pretty simple, long layers, but you’d be surprised how many times I’ve had people mess it up! Raechel does a great job and asks a lot of questions to make sure you’re comfortable with how much she’s cutting off, etc. And her price is so reasonable! I don’t need my hair washed every time so it’s nice to be able to save a little $ and just go straight for a trim. Going back in tomorrow for a trim :) And bringing my mom to get her nails done by the famous Van!

Raechel’s Salon is an adorable spot to get a really good manicure pedicure and more! They are totally personable here. I feel at home when I come by, I hope I can get an appointment this evening! hahaha…

Another Great day with Raechel and Van. It had been awhile but they still Never disappoint. Full body Massage that is the best ever. Topped with Ms. Van’s killer pedi and mani… awwwwe life is good. Going to Raechel’s is very personable, and it’s like having your own private day spa. They are my Wellness Team!

I love coming to this place. So relaxing. Even for just simple waxing or get your hair & make up done or just simple manicure. They give the best massage on your hands.

Surprisingly good! Raechel is professional, ethical, well-​spoken and pleasant. Got a great mani from her and pedi from Van. both are excellent. Salon is absolutely spotless. They do not share emery boards, pumice sponges, etc. between customers for sanitary reasons. Wish more salons did that. My pedi included salt rub, reflexology massage and hot stone treatment at no extra charge! It was $ 35 which is about the norm, but here they include so much more! I’ve never been to a more hygiene-​conscious, incredibly clean hair or nail salon. I expect to be a regular.
Only caveat is stairs. The building has no elevator.

On one rainy Saturday afternoon, I decided to come in for a color touch up and haircut. Raechel’s is a new hair salon and spa on the second floor which neighbors the Sunflower Bakery, RSM Oriental Food Mart and Face & Body Day Spa. I usually go all the way to Campbell to get my haircut and color but needed to fine somewhere closer to home.
Fortunately, Raechel had a opening at noon. The salon is very clean and welcoming. They also do waxing and have nail service if you want to get a mani and/​or pedi. I badly needed a root touch up so I asked Raechel how much that would be. In order to give me a good estimate, she had to measure how long my pieces of white hair are to determine the price. Hmm ok, never had that done to me but I guess there is a first for everything. She then proceeded to work on my color but 10 minutes into it, she messed up so had to start over. Okay no biggie. The color came out okay, I was expecting a little darker like close to my natural hair color. Still need to get used to it.
As for the haircut, she trimmed about an inch off with no layering because I didn’t want layers. The haircut was $ 25 which I thought was a bit much, could’ve at least offered a sliding scale. I also had my eyebrows wax which I thought was very relaxing. She took her time with my eyebrows and made sure they were perfect. Overall, the experience was fine but thought I paid a bit much on the haircut.

I’ve been over paying on hair cuts for years! Now that I’m back in the bay I will only go to Raechel! Perfect cut and layers for $ 25!!! Head massage at the end is amazing too :)
