I am a professional photojournalist and club photographer with shots running in USAToday, the Observer Dispatch in Utica, Motorcyclist Magazine, and clients including the Alexander Hamilton Institute, B Sharp Musical Club, the League of Women Voters of Utica Rome, and Masonic Bodies. I am a former client of Danella Photographic and several nationally prominent photofinishers. With Danella closed, I not only take all my film developing and CD production to Jet Photo, I recommend other shooters in the area to do so as well. I have never brought them work which was mishandled or did not make the most of what I gave them to work with. Their print work is very7, very good. Their CD’s feature photo file sizes which are 50% bigger than the drugstore outlets.;.resulting in FAR better pictures when negs are brought in for digitalizing. Their prices are either lower than drugstore or reasonable for the quality increase. They are busy, but courteous and if they are too busy to deliver my work in the usual one hour time frame, they let me know and will mail back the work to me in Utica. an 18 mile drive away. It’s worth the drive. I certainly wish that they still had their store near the railroad crossing on Genesee Street near New Hartford. .but if quality counts. the drive is secondary. I read another review which was allowed to be posted which did not deal in any shape form or fashion with work quality. Any time you read a business review based on a personality conflict, discount it heavily. Trust my 48 years in the business and 15 years of dealing with Jet Photo. Trust them.

I’m from this area but I haven’t lived here in many years. I’m here on vacation doing genealogy and I got access to a bunch of old family photos and negatives, including one taken on my parents’ wedding day that I had never seen before. The photo was slightly discolored, so i was very excited to find the negative tucked behind it. I called Jet Photo to see if it was possible for them to print from the negative, but the lady was SORUDE, I wouldn’t do business with them on a bet. She interrupted me at least twice, insisting I had to bring the negative in before she could answer even the most basic of questions. She got exasperated with me when I tried to reframe my question, so I never got to say, hey, lady, I am 20 miles away — not just around the corner. Or even, what time do you close? So thanks to your rudeness, impatience, and exasperation, your first review on Unilocal is a negative one. Oh, yeah, I’ll be sharing this on fb too with all my friends who still live here.
