My husband and I have stayed in some gorgeous hotels, mediocre accommodations as well as absolute dives. I’m rating this place against other motels(not hotels or fancy B&B’s). Very nice front desk staff on a Sunday night. She was clear in explaining the price and differences from online vs in person booking. We received our military price. Clean reception, halls and parking area. No extra charge for our small dog. Easy to access and pretty close to restos and a few amenities. We were hauling a trailer so lighting and safety were important. No worries here. Although there were some shady ppl staying at the motel next door. The room was basic. Good amount of space. No rug, instead it’s laminate flooring. Very simple décor, comfortable bed with 3 pillows, clean sheets, comfortable mattress and general lay out of room. Fridge and microwave only, no coffee or hair dryer. Lightning sucked(florescent/grey) and an extra couple of lamps would be welcome. Feels dark in there. Bathroom & toilet were clean, hot water was hot, only 2 med size towels(instead of large/bath towels). Actually there was a slight smell of cleaning products and bleach when we walked in. Not all dog owners seem to put importance in keeping their canine quiet and respectful of other guests… there was a very yappy dog barking a few times at night. I would recommend this motel for the cleanliness alone, and an overall good value… If I could, I’d rate it 3.5÷5

Oh dear, where to begin. I understand this is a motel along an interstate highway but that really isn’t an excuse for the awful night I had here. When I checked in the man at the desk didn’t seem to believe that I was traveling alone. I guess young women aren’t allowed to stay in motels by themselves? He was rude and I felt compelled to apologize to him repeatedly when he would gruffly ask me the same question with growing skepticism each time. He wouldn’t direct me to where my room was(I’m not sure he knew?) and it took some trial and error to figure out what part of the building I was in and where to park. The phone in my room did not have a dial tone and nothing I could do(including moving the night stand and checking all the plugs) would bring it to life. This was especially annoying as I was told I had to call from my room for the wifi code. Since I didn’t want to walk all the way around the far side of the building in the rain I wasn’t able to use the«free wifi» that was advertised. I tried to take a bath and relax since this was but one stop on my long cross-country drive. The bath tub was broken, however, and had no stopper to use. There also weren’t any travel shampoos or soaps provided which is strange because every other chain I stayed at during my trip had them. To add insult to injury the CLEAN towels hanging smelled pretty heavily of mildew. This wasn’t just a single towel but all of them including the ones by the sink. Gross! Probably the WORST part of the night came at 4 in the morning when the inanimate telephone sprang to life! A huge red blinking light and alarm were sounding with absolutely no way for me to turn it off. The phone still had no dial tone, no button to press for the alarm and was unresponsive to any sort of volume adjustment. The alarm sounded for about 2 minutes every 10 minutes or so from 4am to 6am. I still have NOIDEA why this was happening since the phone wasn’t even connected to anything and was basically a useless piece of plastic. I wish I wasn’t so completely exhausted and marched the stupid phone to the front office in the rain right then! In the morning I filled out the comment card provided which was comically dirty, folded and looked like had been used to clean out someone’s fingernails. At that point I almost thought it was a joke. When I went to turn in my room key and check out I told the girl at the desk about these things and my terrible stay and she blankly looked at me, apologized and walked away. Oh and, just because this was all a comically awful stay, my room was in front of the laundry room which had crazy squeaking pipes early in the morning that reverberated through my entire room. It also looked very disorganized and the door was open for rain water to get in. Explains the mildew? I dunno.
