Workout Anytime

Great gym for the price! Love the ²⁴⁄₇ availability. Even if it looks a little small I’ve never had to wait for a machine or had trouble parking.

This gym is decent, small, but very convenient. The fact that they are open ²⁴⁄₇ is their best selling point. Another great feature is the ReAct Trainer machine. If you’ve seen that video of Ice T’s wife Coco doing her booty workout on a weird sideways rotating machine, this is the one. LOL They actually have one in this gym at this location. Yes I did try it out, but I was so embarrassed and felt uncomfortable in a room full of guys. Maybe I’ll sneak back in the wee hours of the night and really get my Coco on!

Positives: I absolutely LOVE my trainer Megan. The manager Leah did a great job by pairing me with her. I actually enjoy our 30 mins together, and that is an incredible feat because I HATE the gym. Always have, but I’m at the point in my life where it can’t be avoided anymore. So to those of you who have what I like to call «gym anxiety»… I highly recommend spending the extra money for a personal trainer. Yes, its more expensive than my car payment, but Its made all the difference in the world for me. She’s helped me get used to the equipment, learn how to workout on my own, be more comfortable in front of the body builders, and I can actually see results less than a month later. Also, the HydroMassage is AMAZING! I use it every time I work out. That thing is worth the 25 bucks alone!
Negatives: I’m not very fond of the employees. A few smiles and a positive attitude go a long way. My very first day, I heard this little blonde kid that works there, actually making fun of people that didn’t know how to use the equipment to another employee. Its that kind of stuff that keeps people from coming to the gym. because they don’t want to be judged. I can’t stand the fact that they eat dinner at the front counter either. I think its super unprofessional. I understand that they try to eat 6 meals a day… but I personally don’t like smelling lemon pepper chicken with brown rice while Im on the treadmill. And there have been a few times where I can’t tan during business hours because the employees have left the building and just put a sign on the door saying they would be back «later». I get the feeling that a bunch of kids run the gym.
I think this place would be top notch if they hired mature, dedicated employees and implemented some basic work place educate. If it weren’t for Megan and the location, I would probably try to find a more professional atmosphere to work out in.

I’m disappointed that Workout Anytime is just a little too far from my humble abode to be convenient. Really — for the price of around $ 15 a month (!!), you have access to a 24 hour gym with all the necessary equipment and a water massage bed. It’s SO worth it. It’s just that all of Nashville’s locations. are sort of on the outer-​city limits, and I live right downtown.
It’s a great gym though, and the Hermitage location is brand new. The equipment is in great condition, it’s never been crowded in all my visits there. With a Groupon, i was able to have a few personal training sessions with Leah, which were (exhausting) great.
Everything about Workout Anytime is so convenient. Except where it is in relation to me…
