While walking around Fiesta Hermosa(09-02-2013) I came across an amazing little stand named ‘Bead Relief’ selling various bead related bracelets. After speaking with the staff manning the staff I came to learn quite a bit about ‘Bead Relief’ and what they stand for. Bead Relief was created to support organizations that work with the youth through the sale of their unique bracelets. Bead Relief has made giving a part of their lives by creating a company that provides an ethically sourced, functional, and fashionable product while supporting the causes of their non-profit partners. With the purchase of bracelets you are basically making a donation to a non-profit of your choice. Bead Relief partners with organizations that are focused on enriching lives. One bracelet alone may not change the world, but selling one million bracelets can. Bead Relief bracelets are made with incredibly beautiful, high quality beads. The beads are strung in a unique color combination making each one, one-of-a-kind. I believe that the color of the beads creates energy, and these bracelets will inspire everyone you come across to get involved. Bead Relief has a great vision. They state that their beads represent the children; the bracelet bands us together in our movement, a symbol of your commitment to aid underprivileged children, Hope and Unity. I think that is a very honorable message=) Bead Relief was created by two friends whose desire to help others sparked a business that follows an honorable business model. John Gornik & Greg Elias(Founders) are very creative. The two met after college and combined their unique talents to form Bead Relief. Bead Relief supports the National Coalition against Domestic Violence, A place called home, Canines for kids, the Toberman Neighborhood Center, Autism Society, the Harold Robinson Foundation, Life rolls on foundation, Create now, Hathaway-Sycamore, Thinking about tomorrow & Harvesting happiness for heroes with the proceeds of their sales. Bead Relief has a number of local businesses that support them by offering Bead Relief customers special promotions and discounts when you mention your loyalty to Bead Relief. These companies include Gornik and Drucker, Montage Beverly Hills, Kika’s Collections, Moving America Forward, Charging Lockers & Gypsy Homme but like all discounts make sure you ask first you make a purchase. Bead Relief is a cool little start-up company. I purchased a couple of bracelets to help pass along the good and be part of the change. I would much rather know where money is going than going out and purchasing a bracelet from a Department store simply to ensure they keep the lights on. With the holiday season approaching make sure you give Bead Relief and their vibe a look before you look elsewhere you will not be disappointed. We need more companies like Bead Relief out there helping the local community and children of the future be self-sufficient=) Bead Relief comes in 3 sizes: Small(6″), Medium(7″) & Large(8″). If you have yet to visit Fiesta Hermosa during the Memorial Day & Labor Day weekends look at all the things you are missing.
