Love cop a tan… great beds… great products! Sad to see some staff leave at Rosecrans but Taylor and Meghan at Artesia location are great! Helpful and knowledgable! I wont go anywhere else!

Client for over 20 years and what a nightmare. A couple years ago I was going to the Redondo Beach location when it was open. Prior to that when I called the HB location they said that I had a credit for a large amount of tanning sessions from the past. I started to use a few at the Redondo location, and once that location closed, I started to go to Hermosa Beach. HB said that I no longer had the credit. I asked if there was anyway someone can look into it. I made so many requests and never received a call or explanation. I wish I would of stopped going at that point. Last year I requested my account to be frozen and after the $ 5/​month I was paying it was bumped up to 20/​mo. I called Renesha and she said she would cancel over the phone and starting September I started getting billed again. It would of been nice if anyone in that company was upfront. I spoke to Renesha 2 other times after that and I remember her manager was there one time but never took the phone. All those times I requested corporate or owner to please contact me. I called this Sunday and explained my story to Taylor and the fact that my charges started up again, what a difference in customer service. She was completely upfront and explained everything. Taylor was quite professional and said that Megan, a manager, would be calling me soon, doubt that since I’ve never gotten a call back. I normally don’t review but this experience is beyond me. So that everyone is aware you have to physically go cancel your membership or it won’t be cancelled. It would of saved me $ if Renesha would of explained that but it wasn’t just Renesha, it was all the misinformation from the past as well.

Love this place! Taylor is great… always super helpful. They always tolerate me asking to be as dark as possible and always have the best recommendations for how to take care of your tan. Great specials and promos year round, too. Will keep coming :)

After getting a very disappointing airbrush tan that barely changed the tint of my skin (at a massage place in El Segundo) I called this location about getting a mystic spray on top of the air brush application. I spoke to Megan who was very knowledgeable about the spray tanning process and ingredients, not to mention empathetic about my situation. I was leaving the next day on vacation and wanted to make sure I had a nice, natural looking tan, but I looked like I was from Minnesota after the airbrush tan. Megan told me to give the airbrush tan a couple more hours to set in case my skin developed the tan later than the expected time period. Two more hours and no change, so I went in to Cop A Tan and Megan advised a Mystic would definitely give the tan I wanted. And sure enough it did. It was the perfect color, more olive than orange. She didn’t up sell me because she knew I had already wasted my money on the air brush tan at the other company. This Cop A Tan location helped my vacation be even more enjoyable since I didn’t have to worry about looking pale in my swim suit!

I have been going to the Hermosa Beach Cop a Tan for a few years now. I totally enjoy it there. Julia is the best. She is very friendly and attentive of what you need. She has awesome people skills. The music she plays is great and relaxing, not like other Cop a Tan’s. I always achieve the color I want. I would never go any where else as long as Julia works there. Keep up the great work!!!

The staff is always very helpful, the beds are clean and they have several tanning options. However, the pricing is considerably higher than their competitors in the area. $ 75 per tan in UVA? Wowza! I was going here for years and just shopped around… moving on down the street for larger, sleeker, better priced salon. Good luck!

its been a while since I have been to this Cop-​A-​Tan. I definitely prefer this location due to the staff being more friendly than the one in Redondo beach. If your thinking about buying a package of tans, be sure to read the small print in the contract.
Most of the time I came the beds were clean and well attended to. I do feel that some of the beds were neglected and did not produce much effect in terms of tanning color because their bulbs were out of date and needed replacing.
The parking lot at this location can get somewhat over crowded during peak times.

They have the best beds in the South Bay.
You can usually get the type of bed you want even without an appointment

I have been tanning at the chain for– Eva! Loooove everyone here! Great staff — not too pushy on sales — very knowledgeable !

My fav cop a tan. The guys who work there are all awesome And friendly and chatty. I paid an initial $ 60 start up fee and now $ 20 a month for unlimited. I don’t go as often as I should…
I wish you could buy individual packets of tanning lotion at the front desk!

New to the area I tried several different salons to find one that I liked. I DID… This salon and staff are AWESOME! The salon is very clean, the staff is knowledgeable of the beds and lotions, and they offer fantastic packages at a good price. I won’t tan anywhere else.

This salon is great! I always receive outstanding customer service at this location. Julie is always very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The only thing that I think this salon would benefit from is if they had deals for certain days of the week otherwise I love it!

I’m giving Julie five stars. I would give more if I could. The facility is nice (though no standing beds), but honestly the main reason to come here is to see her. She is incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable!

Cop A Tan on Artesia is a must visit location. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable! If you’re into pampering yourself, then check out their «Hydration Station». While it detoxes my body it improved my skin tonality & texture — amazingly soft!

I’ve been going to tanning salons off and on since high school. So I feel I know the good ones, the bad ones and the great ones. Cop-​a-​tan in MB has been my favorite for years’ it’s a «great» one. When I’m about to go on vacation, need a quick foundation, I can run in, any time of day, get fast, friendly service and be «outta there» in 15 minutes. While every attendant is courteous, Julie, who’s fairly new, is A+++. She’s always smiling genuinely and makes you feel like you’re making her day a better one. She also knows the specifics, UVA, UVB rays, etc. So I feel more confident in the beds I chose, because of her explanations. I will recommend this company, especially this location, to everyone.

I went to Cop A Tan with a buddy and the experience was awesome! I used the hydro-​bed thing and it was awesome. My skin felt great afterwords plus I pretty much got it for free when they were having a energy drink special thing. The drinks were awesome as well! The customer service was great and they were super friendly!

Don’t go here. Pricy beds. They make it impossible and expensive to cancel your membership (they do not mention all of the fees you pay when you cancel!). And they try to sell you packages that you don’t need just for a commission.

Great staff (Yaz and Aliana) but it’s next to impossible to cancel your membership.
For some archaic reason they’re unable to do anything over the phone or internet.
Plus you really need to cancel way before you want to since their process of canceling their automatic billing takes some lengthy process so make sure you get in 7 days ahead of time or they’ve got you by some contract verbiage.
