Love getting my hair cut & styled by Erin at Glow! I’ve had my hair done other places but she’s the best! So glad I was in LA on vacation & she was able to fit me in.

Erin is simply the best! She transforms my flat, lifeless hair into beautifully flowing perfectly textured hair every time. I have been playing around with my hair color the past couple of years and always love her professional input and end product. I am so happy to have found Erin. A trip to her salon is always a relaxing and refreshing experience!

Love GLOW! I went to see Susie for a facial last week and it was absolutely wonderful. Susie used an array of Epicurean products and customized my treatment making sure to address all of my skin concerns. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. The environment is cozy, quiet, and warm. Can’t wait to see her again next month. I would highly recommend a visit to Susie!

time to grow up: no more hot pockets, long island ice teas and shaving my head with a razor. if it has to happen, i might as well go with the best. that’s the reason I splurge to get pampered and cleaned up by Erin’s magic hands.

I just moved to Hermosa from the east coast a few months ago, and have been going to Susie (did I spell the right?) to get my eyebrows waxed. Originally I came to Glow because of the convenience factor (it’s right down the street from my apartment), but I keep coming back because Susie is great! She’s so sweet and always does a great job on my brows. Thanks girl!

Erin is amazing. She saved my hair 6 years ago and I make the hour drive to her every 2 months since.

I’ve been getting my hair cut & colored by Erin for years, as have my sister and my mom. Erin does amazing work, is super friendly, and has great rates.
I got married in December and used Erin’s bridal hair services as well, and was very pleased with the results. She did hair for myself, my mother, and all bridesmaids. I did my hair test at her salon in Hermosa Beach, then on the day of the wedding she did our hair at the hotel where we were getting ready in downtown Los Angeles. She worked with our makeup artist and came up with a full schedule for the day so every girl knew where to go and what time, making the morning of go seamlessly. She came to the hotel where we were getting ready and got 6 women through with zero hiccups.
The girls looked absolutely stunning. Each girl sat down with Erin, told her a little bit about what they liked, and she created a different hairstyle for each girl that looked beautiful, elegant, and distinctly «them.» As for my hair, Erin did an updo that was absolutely perfect with my veil. All the girls who did updos, as well as myself, had hair that stayed in all day & looked just as good at the end of the night as it did in the morning, but didn’t look or feel pulled back super tight as updos sometimes do. And the girls who had their hair down had beautiful curls that stayed in and looked beautiful all night long. Oh, and she also referred me to a makeup artist who did wonderful bridal makeup for the day on all the girls in the wedding as well. I just got back our photos this week and everyone looks stunning! I could not recommend Erin’s bridal hair services more.

After reading all the good reviews on Erin, I made an appointment with her. I LOVE HER! We clicked right away and she gave me a very sassy make over. I am so glad that I found my new hair dresser here in Hermosa Beach!

I was introduced to Erin through mutual friends and though I’m aquainted with a few hairdressers in the area, after getting to know her I decided to give her a try. Let me start off my saying I have long dark hair (past my soulders) and had been coloring the roots myself every so often just due to those pesky grays. I hadn’t had a good stylist in years (since the girl I used to go to moved away) and over that time had been getting my hair hacked (litterally) by various people. At my 1^st visit, Erin took the time to ask me a lot of questions– how I like to «wear» my hair, what my lifestyle is like, what kind of look am I interested in, etc. She then addressed the condition of my hair and made recommendations. The key is she was able to marry what I wanted with what I needed. I left with a new look (bangs & highlights) and felt like a million bucks! Something else to mention– Erin is down to earth and realistic… which are INVALUABLE traits in a hairdresser. As we all are challenged in this economy, she’ll give you tips on how to get through longer stretches of time if you can’t afford to come in every couple of months for upkeep. As far as cost, though she isn’t cheap, her rates are comperable… plus do you really want the «cheapest» hairdresser? Plus at the end of the day, the compliments I get on my hair make it all worth it!

I read the reviews of Jessica and Erin on Unilocal!and decided to come by for much-​needed brow shaping.
I ended up with another esthetician – not Jessica or Erin. We couldn’t wax, since I’m on Retin-​A, so she threaded and tweezed. I wasn’t asked what shape/​style I usually had.
My eyebrows did not look good. They were cleaner, yes. But a bit too much was taken off, and I ended up with very «upside-​down V» brows. So I mentioned that I would have liked something less dramatic and was told (nicely) that I needed to grow in my brows more before she could shape them that way.
In retrospect, I should have told her at the beginning exactly what I wanted. Instead, I assumed that she would be able to look at my face, see what shape would look best on me, and direct me towards that style. In my defense, that has been my experience with every other brow shaper I’ve seen.
My advice would be to try and see Jessica, if you come to Glow. And if she’s unavailable and you’re put with someone else, be very clear about your desired shape PRIOR to the shaping, unless you just want to clean up what you have. Because I wasn’t upfront, I’m giving 3 stars instead of 2.
PS Street (meter) parking here. Bring quarters. I was exactly 2 minutes later for the meter and I got a $ 47 parking ticket :(

Came by the other night for a last minute waxing… I got lucky there was a cancellation and Jessica was able to see me. She did a really good job, had a great attitude, and made it fairly painless compared to other places. I heard she does some pretty good facials too… wait, that didn’t sound right!

Erin, the owner of Glow, is as good as it gets. I change my hair as often as people change clothes. It is really hard to find a hair stylist who is versatile enough in her techniques to meet my demands. It took me years to find someone as talented as Erin. She is the only stylist who was able to successfully transition my hair from black to blond. When I decided later to change my cut to an edgy short cut, reminiscent to Sienna Miller, Erin was right by my side. She was able to create the exact look I wanted with ease.
Erin has great style with a personality to match. Her shop is as fun and vibrant as she is. I trust her completely with my hair.

This is a great little 2 chair salon. I met Erin the owner of Glow shortly after she moved out here from New York. Erin’s been cutting my hair for over 3 ½ yrs now, well before she even opened Glow. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thanks Erin!

Soooooooooo I finally did something dirty and underhanded. Honestly, I didn’t think I had it in me. I’m a good girl, buuuuuut it just happened. I cheated on my eyebrow lady of 8 years!!!
Hold your judgmental head shakes and tisk tisks I still love her, but it’s just that when I was at MAC in El Segundo the friendly employee helping me mentioned that her daughter does eyebrows. Usually I wouldn’t pay any mind to a comment like that because the mac salesgirl wasn’t Persian and I LOVE my regular Persian eyebrow lady, Who are we kidding here? If there’s anything Persians know it’s Kabob and eyebrows! But, the MAC salesgirl had amazing eyebrows so I kept listening.
Come to find out her daughter works at Glow. Glow is a quaint little salon located on Hermosa Ave. Actually it’s right off a small walk street kind of behind the Birkenstock store (near 8^th if I’m not mistaken) It’s a small salon in comparison to some others in the area but I actually prefer the quaint little salons. What convinced me to give Glow a shot was that it was within walking distance of my house!
So I made an appointment with Jessica and started mentally preparing myself to entrust the care of my beloved eyebrows to the foreign hands of a stranger. If you think I’m being dramatic I don’t care! In my opinion they play a crucial and pivitol role in the facial realm. Although eyebrows may be just little strips of hair on our foreheads they can make or break a girl’s face so entrusting the coiffing of my arches to someone other than my amazing Persian eyebrow lady took a lot of courage, but I did it. I held my breath and just hoped and prayed that Jessica knew what she was doing. While she was working on my eyebrows thoughts like «I think she just gave my eyebrows the equivalent of a Brazilian bikini wax» and «I’m going to have to get hair plugs» kept going through my head, but when she announced she was done and gave me a mirror to check things out I almost fainted. HEAVENS TO BETTSIES SHE’S GOOD!!!
I’ve been going to Jessica for a while now and have even seen Erin a few times for my hair because Glow is close to home and doesn’t require a drive into Torrance. Yet another errand I can do on foot & save on gas! Good for my pocket and good for the environment… see… everybody wins… except my old eyebrow lady I guess: (
