This store has so many options for gifts for kids of all ages. Dangerous to come here as an auntie because you’ll want to buy everything!
There are educational toys as well as just fun stuff.

Came here today because I wanted to support Small Business Saturday, looked up local toy stores on Unilocal,and decided to try this place out. What a charming store. When I walked up to the store, there was a man dressed up as an elf greeting a little boy and his father and welcoming them to the store. The elf proceeded to get down on his knees and engage in jovial conversations with the other children in the store. It was very sweet to see him giving them clues of where they could find the «Elf on the Shelf».
I was pleased to see the store busy with local residents happily making their toy purchases. The store prides itself on selling unique toys that you won’t find at generic toy stores. I went on their website beforehand and found a perfect item to purchase as one of my items to donate to my Torrance Toy Drive: a «Super Hero in a Box,» which comes with a cape, a mask and wrist bands, geared for kids 3+. I think it’s the cutest gift idea and something kids won’t tire of. They’ll use their little imaginations for a long time!
The store itself is darling and the women working there are lovely and very helpful. They were offering the customers Mimosas and donuts! Yum! They will gift wrap your gift and they have a card they give you which they stamp, and it says if you shop at their store 5 times, you get 20% off your 6^th purchase.
They have a very cute teepee set up in the store, which kids can play in, and they also sell them. What a great gift it would make! There are books, beautiful baby clothes and blankets, dolls and pillows made of knitted sock-​like material, and a lot of the toys are from France.
This will now be my go-​to place to come whenever I need a toy or a baby shower gift. I think we all benefit when we support local businesses too!

This is a cute, little kids shop. My son loved it here. He played in the teepee and with all the toys on display. They had a good selection of more unique toys. He put on a knight’s helmet and picked up a wooden sword. He played with hopping bunnies.
The employees were warm and welcoming. All the kids coming in seemed to be having a good time checking out the store. I sat on a stool and read my son several books while we were here.
They had a sales table where everything was 70% off. I bought 2 items on clearance and was thrilled. 1 of the items was a 3 pack book I bought for $ 2.10. I will definitely pop in here when I am on Pier to see what they have on sale.

Such a sweet shop with high quality kids/​baby treasures. Friendly staff helped me find the perfect gifts I needed for a 1yr old girl and 2yr old boy. Definitely going back for future kids and baby gifts!

Gum Tree Kids have the best choice of high quality, beautiful designs toys and décor for children. Here you will get hard to find objects from hip Parisian brands (Lalé, Mon Petit Art, etc), cool stuff from NY Mud puppy and and EeBoo, and the best books from selected illustrators.
The focus is on beautiful, educational objects, with designs that will last .
Go there for gifts to be kept and remembered.
The prices are right for high quality items, and the shop is a pure delight. I only saw shops like that in London or Paris, so proud we have one in Hermosa to enjoy!

The popular Gum Tree café & gift shop, just down the street, now has a spin-​off location.
Gum Tree Kids opened in November & offers very very cute and unique kiddie stuff. (I shoulda photo’d that adorable little raincoat… as if it will ever rain again around here…)
I was pleased to see cool vintage posters on the walls, framed & ready for sale, appropriate for a kid’s space.
This is a beautiful & friendly shop, exactly what I would expect from the owners of original Gum Tree.
Now all I need is a little kid to pamper. OK grandkid… dang.
