Hermosa Saloon is a classic old beach bar that can accomodate everyone! They accomodated my birthday party of 50 including a live band on very short notice! The owner was great to all of us and the entire bar staff was amazing. I had one of the most memorable nights ever there! Thanks Hermosa Saloon! Andrea Duke

A few things: the service was great, but the prices are absurd and the live music, while indeed music, needs updating. 8:50 for a Guinness on tap? The going rate is 6 bucks. I could understand if this was a wild Friday night with some happening music, but the band that was playing seemed to be stuck in 1975. Update your music. Vietnam is over. Nixon resigned. And make your prices reasonable… I can’t give you my firstborn every time I want to have a few beers… but if you like being stuck inside another plotless David Lynch film, this might be the place for you.

Love this place! My friend won a bunch of money here on a Tuesday. The bartenders are great, there’s a bunch of TVs and live music on the weekends. One of my favorite bars.

Cash only!!! I say again cash only. It’s kind of crazy I mean even the lawn cutting guy had a little square for his phone now and days. Great environment the only reason I keep going back is for the bartenders. The people are cool very low stress dive bar. Four stars if they would get rid of the atm and add a merchant station and take card

Went to the Saloon for the Superbowl. Great time, great service. However, the owner talked up a bunch of nice prizes he was giving away after the game and had them displayed for everyone to see. When his Seahawks lost, he took all the prizes to his office and gave away nothing. All the bartenders here are great, but watch out for that owner! He is well known for classless moves like the«Superbowl Bait and Switch».

So this bar has 3 things going for it. 1. Lots of fake and bake MILFs with bolt on accessories 2. Kings Fan bar 3. some live bands depending on the night Otherwise its a typical bar without any differences. Definitely a well to do crowd comes here. Lots of interesting characters here to dance, listen to muzak, and watch kings games when they are on. The bartenders could be straight out of the IE… absolutely insane situation. It was also weird that my date was one of three folks who wasnt white here… very odd for los angeles to say the least… The drinks were average priced, but nothing special. They were average pours for an avg price. The bar layout wasnt the most conducive to a good time, but it worked out in the end. Half the bar cant see the dance floor or the band or the big screen where they would show the games. However there are several additional TVs located in the corners on the bar side. We had a great time, but it definitely has a few oddities and wouldnt be my hangout even if I lived in the area. For a random night in a random area, it did provide a good amount of fun I will admit.

Strolled in here for one drink… Left at last call! This bar was so much fun and the bartenders were excellent. Make this one of your stops when you are in the area!

I used to frequent this bar, and last night I went back for the first time in a few months and everything seems to have changed. I always enjoyed coming here because it was a laid back enviroment, with employees who were accepting of all types of people– young or old, that I felt comfortable coming in to and that was no longer the vibe. I felt very uncomfortable with the crowd that was there, and the bar tenders and bouncer that were working didn’t make me feel very welcome either. One of the bar tenders even seemed like she didn’t care for us because we were a bit younger then the rest of the people there, and I’m 25. The prices seem to be higher the I was used to as well, which is a bit unfortunate, but not a deal breaker. Also the bouncer very rudely kicked everyone out around 1:40 am, and proceeded to pick a fight with one of the females I was with which seemed very childish. I most likely will not be back, as my experience was very unpleasent. *UPDATE* I returned after hearing that some of the bar tenders I am familiar with had returned on the weekends. I had a much better, and enjoyable experience. I changed my 1 star rating to 3 because the whole attitude in this place felt more like it used to on my last vist. However I am still disappointed that the rude bouncer is still working there. He makes me uncomfortable. O. o

I just love this bar. It’s great for all ages. They have live bands on the weekends, tons of big screen TV’s, happy hour during the weekdays. Sundays are super fun. They have free hot dogs with purchase, drink specials, and the best bartenders in the south bay. Patrick is the best, I love him. RayZur, Cori, and Tim are really fun too. They take debit/credit cards and have a ATM machines. Lots of parking in the back, and a pool table. Great place to come in have a drink and a good time. I always have fun there.

Rayzer is the best guy!!! This is the first bar I went to since I moved here and it is like drinking at home with friends! Love the atmosphere. They have some good bands playing also. If I can get a sitter this is where I like to go or at least where I like to end up!

Razor is an awesome bartender. New to the place, and he took the time to introduce me to the regs. Good conversation. Good Times!

Stopped by here on my birthday and I’m officially an old lady(dirty30). It wasn’t super loud but it was all hot n shweddy the bartenders looked mad and the crowd creeped me out. Don’t get me wrong, I make my living workin in a dive bar! Maybe I’m just used to the o.c. but I was NOT comfy here. There were people drink in the parking lot and I felt like an out of place«mom» even though I dont have any kids lol. Maybe in another lifetime. My friends that are locals were tellin me I needed to loosen up but I wanted OUT!

This is a seedy little dive bar right on PCH(parking in the rear). Obviously there is no cover charge, so walk right in. The inside is a rundown version of a western saloon. The Popeye looking bartender pours stiff drinks, so I highly recommend going to him rather than the tall bearded lumberjack. They had a live band on Saturday which played good music and got people out of their seats and dancing. There was a good mix of ages of people from early 20’s to cougars to old creepy guy at the bar. Good place to get a buzz or keep your buzz going for a fair price.

As far as dives go you could do worse. This place needs more dank and a little less lighting so as not to see the mostly spandex clad patrons. A friendly bartender and relative easy parking on PCH help take the edge off.

So I tried this place out recently and it’s definitely a cool spot. I went on a Monday night so it wasn’t very busy, but there was still good music playing and nice people around. The bartender was awesome, made amazing drinks and even gave us some fun stuff to do while we were drinking like a puzzle and magic tricks. Idk, it was fun for me lol! Anyway, good drinks and a good atmosphere make this a bar I’ll visit again. Btw: cash only. Wish I had known that before I went, but oh well.

What a dive! There’s a cool spot to relax when the other bars close early. I would have really liked this place except for the fact that my whiskey neat had not one, but TWO dead fruit flies in the bottom of it. I think no one was drinking from that bottle and maybe the fell off the shelf and into the glass, or even worse, they might have been trapped in the bottle. It was nevertheless a little gross– that’s why I like my stuff with higher proof– it kills off the germs! The Friday band was cool– a fun group with the guitarist who positioned a fan blowing in his face to give a windblown look, very quality entertainment. The bathrooms had way too many swinging doors in it– maybe to keep the drunk guys out? At least this place has good visibility from the PCH. And people– don’t forget to take a taxi after. We saw an awful car wreck– split a lamppost, so not worth it!

Me and wife went to see a live band my friend was playing in. The place was packed by 9pm, every seat at the bar was taken. The alcohol prices were not expensive and there were actually seats available by the live band. There is nothing like a live band playing classic oldies! They play for tips and drinks. The people inside were also cool. Worth it, will be back! Tips: 1) Parking lot in back, rear entrance.

«Saloon» was the right word. The Hermosa Saloon was a mix between the Double Deuce and Wyatt Earp’s garage. Granted, i get that some of the worn-down style was intentional, but not all of it. A few friends and I walked into Hermosa Saloon after having had dinner at a near by Mexican joint. It wasn’t the lousy band, bad smell, or depressed environment that left me with negative thoughts; it was the nosey owner/manager. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good dive bar. But as my buddies and I were playing pool in the back room, he came back there barking orders and asking nosey questions. Come on’! Like I said, I love dive bars, live bands, and cold beer. But something about this place rubbed me the wrong way. I really want to give HS3 stars but its not even average. The Anza Inn, Roadhouse, or Crest are all better. I’m kinda over it.
