Jimmy’s Sticky Jerky

This is really good Jerky. I would give it a 4.5 but Unilocal doesn’t allow that so he gets a 5.
I am a jerky aficionado, have been eating it for decades, and even make it at home 5 – 6 times a year. I came across Jimmy at the Redondo Farmers Market and I will be honest; I was a bit put off by the name «Sticky». I actually didnt buy it the first few times as I have always liked my jerky VERY VERY VERY DRY. The word «sticky» screamed high water content to me (it doesn’t have a high water content BTW). Also looking at it I thought it might be a bit too thickly cut as I like my jerky very thin (it not too thick, holds the flavors better than other jerky and very tender).
Dont let preconceived ideas keep you from trying this stuff. The fact that it isn’t super dry or super thin and it still gets 4.5 stars from me says A LOT. The flavor of this jerky is superb. The flavors/​marinades used are all excellent but lately I have been on a cilantro lime kick. I have tried the Jerky at various farmers markets, a lot from mail order companies, and all the store brands. Jimmy’s rates as the best locally and one of the better ones nationally. The price is also good, comparable to store brands and considering the much higher quality and better ingredients why would you ever buy store junk again?

I have had the pleasure of eating, working next to and selling across from Jimmy and his products. His standards for production, preparation and execution are exemplary. He values artisan qualities and tradition while giving his product its own flair.
If you want a good quality jerked meat product that is freshly made by hand and outstanding look no further!

I have tried all of their flavors (even a tiny bit of RFH) and they all are incredibly tasty and the beef and turkey is moist — not that dried out crap you find with the mass produced brands. I love, love, love the Cilantro Lime and the Black Pepper! The hot stuff is too hot for me, but I did brave a taste of the Heat, Fire and RFH and they all have really great flavors, especially the RFH.
These are great protein snacks for walks, hikes, biking, surfing, etc. — a nice alternative to power bars, too!

Jimmy’s Sticky Jerky is THE BEST jerky I’ve ever had… it’s life changing! Flavorful, moist and tender. Tastes SO much better than the regular jerky I usually buy and it’s way healthier for you — super low in sodium and low in sugar compared to anything else I’ve seen.
