I love «Old Florida». This place is Old Florida in the middle of Old Florida. It’s like going back in time to 1955. The people are friendly, the place is simple and clean, and the food is like my momma made. The prices are simple too.

Chicken King is our closest restaurant less than a mile away. Breakfast is very good but their other dishes like «Wing Dings», fried chicken (get the uppers) and daily specials can be hit or miss. It’s a shame because 9 or 10 years ago this restaurant had the BEST fried chicken in the County. Always busy and a real bargain for lunch or dinner. A fire and several ownership changes almost killed it. The current owners are trying to bring it back so I’d say give it a try!

I had breakfast here early in the am after driving down from upstate NY. They were open and both of our plates were good. The help was not very interactive or the most friendly bit it was early and we were not the regulars. If I’m every in the area again I’d like to try the chicken.

New to the area first visit very friendly staff fast service and the chicken is great not to greasy light perfectly cooked batter. Loved the potato salad and the green beans too. This will be my new Friday treat

This is the best and juicy chicken you will ever eat done right every time! Chicken fried chicken, pot pie with sides that match. With the price is right and then take a box home with you.

Only been there once so far — but we will make it a regular. The fried chicken was very good and so were the sides. Where can you get a full meal for under $ 6? The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly.

My wife and I at there 3 times during a recent stay in Inverness. The first night we had their Chicken. Very good, tender, moist and very flavorful coating. Not greasy either. Sides were very good. I had the Collards and they were done as collards should, with some sort of Pork in the mix.
We took a piece of the key lime pie back to our Hotel and while it didn’t hold up in the box very well. It tasted great.
The Other two times were for breakfast, and it was good and cheap. One morning I had an Egg, Home fries, a strip of Bacon, and a biscuit for $ 2.09, surprisingly enough food for that days breakfast.
It’s a local joint, not at all fancy, but food is good and reasonable. I likely would not have tried it, if not for Unilocal, but happy to have found it. It’s where the locals eat. Would rate it higher, but the coffee, wasn’t to our liking. It might be the water.

Very NOT fancy. Good, inexpensive food served by (what seem to be) family members. Consistent grub. Can’t go wrong for not much money. A bang-​up breakfast all day is my favorite.

Love this little hole in the wall, near where my parents live. Great fried chicken and they give you tons of food !!! We can’t get down home cooking like this in So. Cal.
