Cold Stone Creamery

Ever time we come in they are short staffed. It is Friday, April 1^st at 3:25p and we have been waiting in line for over 15 minutes. The one guy working is running his butt off. Once the weather breaks they need at least two people.
Nice cream is always good, but I don’t have the time to waste waiting for it.

This is a review of their cake order dept. only.
I had asked for multi colored letters on the birthday cake and maybe some kind of bear drawing on there. Didn’t get that, got just one color letters with no frills.
So on that, I’d give 2 stars. Very basic decorations.
The pros: the cake was MOIST and VERY fresh. Moreso than at the Vienna location when I ordered the same exact cake (Mint Chip with chocolate cake) last year.
The cookies on the top were also very fresh.
So! Décor is 2 stars but taste is 5 stars. :) Yummmeeee!

Had chocolate lava meltdown. The chocolate cake was not warm enough… however i loved the taste.

Great ice cream but they never have enough people working. Friday night and only two people working which equals 45min waiting in line! Also, they do not sort the line by party which could maybe help things go a bit faster. Great staff just poor management.

As always great ice cream, I give 3 stars because we went one time and there was no place to seat, they should do something about the small amount of chairs they have, I don’t care if I don’t get a table, but at least get some extra chairs or benches toward the walls.

I love Coldstone flavors! I have yet to try one that I don’t like. Birthday Cake Remix is my favorite for sure, but Cheesecake Fantasy is really good too. I only ever order the Like It size because I find their portions quite generous. Deisy did a great job preparing my ice cream and answered all my questions concerning their cake. I know where I’m buying the next birthday cake I need to buy!

It goes without saying that the ice cream was incredible. It’s coldstone after all. And it’s my favorite time of year where they offer pumpkin ice cream (just when you thought cake batter was the most incredible flavor.) As far as the service goes… Terrible. But what more can you expect from 16 year olds unsupervised who are expected to sing for their tips? The service was very slow, seems understaffed for such a busy location… The 2 girls working were talking to their friend who was leaning over the counter to the side, and one of them even offered her some of my Boyfriends ice cream while she was making it and ended up totally skimping him. I’m about to take out half of my savings account just to pay for that one «love it» size, I think you can at least manage to fill it up to the rim. My one piece of advice to coldstone, cough up the the extra $ 2 an hour and hire better employees, especially with those ever rising prices for frozen cream. Oh, and maybe have a manager step into the store once in a while. You have no idea the wonders their presence has.

You know what will ruin your fine ice cream experience? Watching one employee being just down right nasty to the one she is training. So disappointed in the behavior that I am biting my tongue to avoid saying something about it!
The ice cream itself is excellent and well made like it was supposed to be by the one that is getting bossed around.
Get some management or supervision in here! This poor girl doesn’t deserve to be treated like this and customers don’t want to see it.

I 1^st had Coldstone in Atlanta some years back, then they started to pop up around the DC area and made me so happy, I’ve literally worked my way around the menu and have tried everything, all flavors, cupcakes, hell I even bought a cake and took it work so someone could help me it
There are a lot of choices, they have sorbet and you mix it up and create your own,
only bad thing about this place is that I can’t stay away!

Never disappointed, always satisfying all year round!
Whether it’s a cone, waffle bowl, one of the signature dishes or smoothie, there’s something for even the ice cream snob!

Parking in worldgate isn’t the greatest, don’t plan on running in and out for ice cream during busy hours. The service was kinda slow. I asked could one of the speciality ice creams be made in a kids size (because I have done it before at other locations) but they told me they don’t do it at this location. That’s crazy because it’s not like the ice cream comes pre –scooped. Plus my daughter got a kids scoop and it was the same size as my $ 5 dollar speciality flavor «like it» size and was placed in a «like it» cup. Won’t be a regular here.

I have lost 130 pounds and am always looking for a healthy snack. Today I was hungry for ice cream or such. In talking to the wonderful young man behind the counter we talk about the nutrition info of the different options and the real/​artificial properties of the things I was thinking about. Love this place. Loved the nice young man working. Happy happy!

Its a good Coldstone, not too busy but then again if I go its during the work weekday. Friendly service and they custom made ice cream cookie sandwiches for us with short notice. I don’t know if its the norm but I want to place an order again as the cookie sandwiches even not custom made are great.

This ice cream was the bees knees… I had a waffle cup full of «Our Strawberry Blonde» and I was well satisfied. I’ll be back. Why only 4 stars? Because the parking sucked… that’s all.

Checked out this location today — just happened to be nearby and decided to take advantage of a BOGO free coupon. I typically order one of the signature ice creams like Founder’s Favorite, Coffee Lovers Only, Thats How I Roll, etc. Today was a Coffee Lovers day for me. Not much to say because I think the brand speaks for itself, everything else is in the service. It was mid to late afternoon so parking or lines weren’t an issue. The young ladies working were friendly and provided good service –and the place was clean.

I had a milkshake here and it was probably one of the better milkshakes I’ve tasted.
$ 20 for two milkshakes and a scoop of vanilla is a little excessive though. The expense is the only reason my rating isn’t better.

I’ve been to the coldstone a few times in my life, and it’s usually an A-​ok experience. But this time was not the best. I’m not that much of sweet stuff lover, but I do eat it once in a while. I got the oreo overload on a you gotta have it size, and I think, even if you are an ice cream lover, it would be to much, and WAY to sweet.

The last part of the Herndon saga ends at Cold Stone Creamery, which is in the same center as a plethora of other restaurants (pretty much on the other side of American Café and Matsutake). Previously, I had never been to Cold Stone. After getting the Very Vanilla shake ($ 6.34 including tax), I’d have to say that they are OK. Not great, but not bad either.
I have to give the employees a lot of credit: they did a great job as far as customer service was concerned. They were cheerful as far as I could tell.
I’ll get a chance to experience Cold Stone in the future to try out the different flavors of ice cream (Macadamia Nut and Oatmeal Cookie Batter come into mind). That should give me a more fulfilling opinion of CS.

I love this location but the parking sucks due to it being located in Worldgate. I use to have a problem here with slow service but the last 3 times I have been here no problems at all. If you use a credit card to pay the machine seems to always take forever!!! They also usually give you a card when you pay to rate your experience online. It gives you a code after you finish the survey and gives you a $ 1 off your next purchase. Also the survey lets you sign up for this locations newsletter. They will have all kinds of deals throughout the month and send you coupons.
