My review is for the pole fitness class. I was quite disappointed with my experience. I too purchased the groupon and was annoyed to find that there was an additional $ 15 ‘registration fee’ associated with the class. Had it been included in the price on groupon(or even mentioned on their site) I would have had no issue but sneaking in a fee like that at the end is sketchy. Scheduling a class is frustrating; after you submit your requested days and times via their site you have to wait for someone from the studio to call you so you can actually sign up for a class. I don’t know why they even have the online form. When I called to schedule a class, the woman on the phone was gossiping about instructors that had left the studio. Being a new person I had no idea who these people were nor did I want to know all about the drama surrounding them and the ‘Dance with Me’ studio. I wasn’t impressed with the class either. For a ‘pole fitness’ class, I never felt warmed up even after the hour session. We stretched at the beginning of the class, the instructor would show us a new move, we’d practice the moves from the previous class and then the rest of the time was spent practicing whatever we wanted to. No warm down stretches were done. Because it’s a beginner course I expected more structure, being left for ‘open pole’ time for the entire class doesn’t make me feel like the instructor was doing her job. I was so disappointed that I decided to not even go to the last class.
