A good international food place with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits. They also sell live fish(cut it for you on the spot). Regular grocery stuffs(juice/milk/eggs) are a bit pricey but overall good place to shop.

Really sorry to say. I use to love shopping at this place. it reminded me of getting groceries with my mother. The other day, I had an item(which I found I was allergic to after purchase since label was very unclear, no fault of the store) which I had purchased with lots of other groceries, unopened, original packaging, etc etc. Anyway, I didn’t want a return, I wanted an exchange… the manager said no. why? I didn’t have a receipt. I assured him, I have no need for this product and I have alot of other things to get so I only want an exchange… no return… he said sorry. no receipt. hence my day began, with a human being so human and robotic that he could not see the ill logic and mistrust he built for himself, his store, and his customers. I was literally being accused of lying and then told I could not exchange something eventhough I’m allergic to it and will NEVER use it. Anyway. needless to say, I will not be visiting fresh world again. Just another corporate store in a milieu of capitalistic facism. Paying workers lower than sustenance wages and having them be the gatekeepers of your profits to the disregard of the communities in which you conduct all your business. Btw, they saw $ 20 extra in their pockets today because the product I will never use sits on the guy’s counter… now they can sell it twice. I suppose I could have sold a tin of soy oil on CL though…

They got fresh vegetables and seafood that you cannot anywhere else. Fresh tilapia here is unbeatable price for its quality !! They also do sell live crabs which are very precious for a seafood lover, provided you know how to clean them. Meat selection : They have both halal and regular meat both in different shelves. The halal meat is clearly marked with a certified label. The best part is the meat is fresh as always. They carry indian section too, and to my surprise it’s cheaper than the indian stores .
Try to go their during odd hours to avoid rush and make your shopping a pleasure experience!!!

Awesome selection of international food. I get my kimchi here, as it is fresh, authentic and delicious. Huge produce and fish sections, as well as a real live butcher shop. Fun place to shop…

For the best international market around… I nominate Fresh World! Best selection of veggies, fruits, meats and cuts from various ethnicities around with prices accordingly! We don’t have any issues looking for that item that one may have trouble finding at the usual Grocery chains… Friendly and helpful staff with quick checkout makes for a nice market shopping experience.

Love this store! I often visit to get produce for juicing, and find myself wandering the aisles every time. Their produce may lack a little quality, but the price is right, and worth the picking through. I’m a big wuss and haven’t tried their seafood yet, but the fact that they can offer live Chesapeake Bay crabs, certainly caught my attention. Maybe if I don’t have time to go catch them, I’ll check with this place. Their herb selection is wonderful, and at their price of Cilantro bundles(2 for a $ 1!), I’ll be eating fresh salsa, and pico de gallo all summer long! Parking is plentiful, and the staff is always nice and friendly. By far, this is the best international grocery store in town.

No joke-your fish can still be flopping about when you leave(as distasteful as that might be to those of you who prefer to purchase from the Gorton’s fisherman). Here you can pick it, fish it and have it filleted to your specification. This store is pretty boss-tons of fresh fruits and veggies of all kinds. I will say that it’s probably not of the same«quality» as whole foods but nowhere near the price either-but they turn over a ton so the chances of it being fresh is pretty good… You can straight up see the butcher in the back, lots of ethnic peeps mulling around, and an awesome place to get foods that you wouldn’t get at the crappy Giant and Safeway. Herbs of all kinds too! Love it!

Good place to buy fresh fruit and meats. Prices are very reasonable and probably the best in town for the best quality.

4.5! I’m very impressed with this store, found it to have really reasonable prices and a fantastic selection of pretty much everything. I’d gently disagree with another reviewer who noted that the store was Latin-centric; there was an excellent selection/representation of Asian culture(including Indian) throughout the store. Got my fix on cool fruit(fresh mangosteen! Jackfruit! Reasonably priced frozen durian! Dragonfruit! Cactus!) and got great prices on the boring stuff(cilantro). Excellent place to find those random things you occasionally need(sambal oelek? Aji Amarillo paste? Various dried peppers?). And, their website offers coupons!

Compared to the small markets that I am used to this is a relatively large market for Asian foods. Their produce seemed fresh and they had a wide variety of vegetables that I often have to search for. The frozen section in the front that contains ice cream had a wide variety of Asian goodies that we don’t often find all together, the thai tea ice cream with jelly inside was definitely on cue for the taste. We also got some taro popsicles which I still have not tried, but certainly will soon. The fruit did seem a bit bruised which made picking out good pieces a little trickier than at other grocery stores. The jackfruit price of .99 $ a lbs is really great, in florida 1.29 $ was a good price. Their set up is a bit redundant and confusing, but I’ve never really been to an Asian grocery that I completely understood. They had everything that I am used to in Florida and even more. I am so happy it’s so close to my house and has such wide variety, I will have to try out more of their items to really decide on the quality but so far they have met my needs in regards to variety.

It’s no Super H-Mart, to be sure. However, it does have a decent selection of various international foods. Most of the food items carried here are for Mexican, Central and South American cuisines, which is understandable as most of Hispanic descent in this area come from those places. As a result, there aren’t as many items that are used in Puerto Rican cooking. Still, I did see that in the produce section, they did have yautia and calabaza(West Indian pumpkin). The first time I visited, the only way to get calabaza was to buy a huge one that looked like it weighed about 10 pounds. Today, I noticed that they are now carrying some pre-sliced wedges, which is more reasonable! The Asian food selection amouts to 2 aisles which are not well organized. For example, I was looking for some Szechuan hot bean sauce. Giant and Harris Teeter didn’t have any so, I went here. I first looked in an aisle that said«Asian sauces» and came up empty. Then, I decided to check the second aisle — and found it! There is also an aisle for Indian and Pakistani foods and a couple of aisles for«American food». The frozen foods section was predominantly Hispanic foods, including some that I’ve never seen before in a market, like saltenas. The second largest selection was Asian foods. The baked goods were on racks placed in one of the frozen food aisles and the vast majority of items were for Mexican, Central and South American products. As for the seafood and meat counters, the selections were wide and varied. I found it quite interesting to browse in both sections. There is also a very large selection of beers. I think that they are trying to sell more items than there is comfortably room for them all. Bloom used to be in this location and Fresh World still has all the Bloom infrastructure in place. All in all, having browsed all the aisles, it is a good go-to place for ethnic foods and is close to where I live. Like I said, it’s no Super H-Mart but it will do.
