This is a review for the pharmacists.
Kathleen Bishop is an amazing pharmacist. She is courteous and helpful and explains all your options. She told me how I could enroll in the Vic pharmacy program and get my medication at a slightly cheaper rate than using my insurance.
Then the next time I had Eric Yi. Now he is at the other end of the spectrum — terrible customer service, terrible attitude and not knowledgeable. He had filled and billed a refill on the same prescription using my insurance, hence it was a higher rater. When I told him that I got it at a lower rate the previous month using the Vic program, he told me there was no such program!
I did not remember the exact name of the program, so I told him that the previous pharmacist had told me about it, it is about $ 8 for a year and I get my prescription at a slightly lower rate than with using my insurance etc. He responded saying that was a program from maybe 5 years back. I told him again patiently that it was only last month that I got this. He once again denied the existence of the program. I then asked him to look at my billing etc from last time in their computer system. He looked and then had to unwillingly admit that yes it does exist. So after much consternation and time I got my refill.
The next time again I unfortunately got him. This time though Kathleen had filled it already, using the Vic program so the rate was correct.
However I wanted to check if I would get a lower rate if I got 3 months supply (which my doctor had written a prescription for) instead of a month at a time and asked if he could check on this for me. He made such a face and said it would take time and probably not make a huge difference. When I persisted and asked if he could, he said it would take time and just continued with what he was doing. I was left standing wondering if he was going to do it or not. I had to then ask him ok how long will it take. He said ‘let me see’ and could then give me the answer in less than 2minutes! And sure enough it was cheaper.
He then made a face (I am not kidding!) when I asked him to redo the refill and give me a 3 month supply instead of the 1 month. He actually had the audacity to tell me its only a few bucks less! Is not the customer the one who makes the choice on whether they want to save those «few bucks» or not? without having to deal with the judgement of the pharmacist!!!
I really do hope Harris Teeter educates Eric Yi about their pharmacy savings program and customer service norms! I would like to see less of him and a lot more of Kathleen Bishop.

It’s so convenient that Harris Teeter is walking distance from our apartment. It’s so nice. Especially, on the weekends when we get cravings, we can just walk a few steps and all our cravings are satisfied. So yay!
I have never heard of Harris Teeter until we moved to Virginia and honestly I love this grocery store. It is EXPENSIVE, but it’s worth it. I love their free samples ;) and their salad and soup bar. When I do get a salad I stack up, I throw everything I can into my bowl-​best salad ever. Really. :D I am also satisfied with their wine selection. It’s pretty amazing. So yes, best grocery store ever. Keep it up Harris Teeter (thumbs up.)

Beautiful store, best looking and best stocked I’ve been in in the Herndon area. Can be a little pit spendier, but if you look at the ads, use your VIC card, and look for less expensive items, it’s in line with other stores in the area. It’s actually got the lowest price on gallons of milk (within a short drive, anyway), and their other prices have never struck me as obscenely high, and I’m more or less poor.
The deli section is hit or miss; great meat and cheese selection (Boarshead) and good MTO sandwiches. Their fried and roasted chicken choices are reasonably priced and tasty, but some of the items I’ve tried from their deli (mac and cheese, take-​and-​bake pizzas, etc.) have been abysmal. Just freaking abysmal. God. That pizza. Why? How?
There are to Redbox machines out front which is nice for when you want to be twice as indecisive.
I’ve had mostly bleh encounters with checkers. They’re not actively rude, but I’ve been greeted «coldly* and often don’t get any form of thanks or good-​bye, even though I make it a point to always thank them and wish them well (because retail solidarity). I get slightly better treatment from the self-​check lane. Not the person manning it, but from the actual machines.
Awesome wine and beer selection, best of any grocery stores in the vicinity, and there is a liquor store next door if you need something with a little more oomph.
Meat counter and bakery are lovely and offer great options. The cheese section is great for *Herndon*, but it’s not big enough for me, and a lot of the real estate is taken up by spreads and «novelty» cheeses instead of the thousands of cheeses from around the world that they could have.
If their checkers learn to smile and they imprison the person who makes their T&B pizzas, I will gladly bump this up to five stars.

It’s super convenient and that’s about it. The produce and seafood is left to be desired. I bought some bananas, raspberries and pears and they all started to grow mold or rot by the next day. There isn’t much selection regarding the produce and seafood. I’m disappointed to say the least.

Favorite grocery store to shop at. Always been a big fan of their sandwich counter and sugar cookies.

This location is God’s gift to our green earth. Never before have I encountered such scrumptious takes on American lunch time favorites. My personal fav is the sesame chicken; cooked to perfection every single time with an extra side of Love. For the rest of my days, I will cherish this Harris Teeter and the mark it has left upon my soul.

Used to be my favorite store. Even though they cost more than other grocery stores in the area (even more than mom’s organic on some items) I loved that they are open 24 hours and had really above average customer service. But that opinion has changed. Their customer service went downhill in the past couple of years, ever since they decided to hire bunch of clueless young people.
I visited there today, I saw a horde of young employees cluelessly standing around the register and chatting amongst themselves. Nobody offered me any assistant or greeted me. I didn’t let that bother me as I was more focused in doing my weekly grocery. After 5 minutes of research I found my perfect mini-​watermelon from sale. Then I happily went pick up my bags of salmon. As I strolled down on one of the aisles, I drifted off to the next aisle containing beans. I was there for 5 – 7 minutes selecting my perfect pair of canned beans. I saw my cart was missing, initially my first thought was someone stole my perfect watermelon.
As I told the unenthusiastic and incompetent employee with curly hair of my missing cart. She then cluelessly looked left and right and informed me that some employee named Amir took it. Again absolutely reluctance to help me but she did seemed rather amused by so called Amir’s action (as if it’s some kind of joke). She then offered me a half-​hearted sorry aka #sorrybutnotreallysorry and told me to go collect the items again as they are now went back to their designated area. moved onto her task of chatting with other fellow young employees. I’m thinking there goes my perfect watermelon which I collected from the back of the tray.
Needless to say, I left and looks like I won’t be going there anymore unless i absolutely have to. Too bad I live so near by, it would’ve be my go to spot for everything it had to offer.
Advice to Harris Teeter: 1. Train your employees well on harris teeter customer service. 2. If you must take a cart thinking it’s abandoned or whatnot at least look around and see if there’s anyone’s using it. It’s not a hard task as i was near by on the next aisle. 3. If you do put back the items after taking a cart from a customer, at least offer a service to get the items back or if not get a cart for the customer. 4. Tell your employees to move and assist customers when they see one, not just chitchat amongst themselves in one place and ignore others.
Really Harris Teeter, you disappoint me.

It’s your average run of the mill Harris Teeter, only smaller, and with less parking. Parking on the main level is usually a giant pain in the keester, so might I suggest parking down below and taking the elevator up. It let’s you out right next to the Teet entrance. Fear not dear patron, it’s large enough to bring your grocery cart in upon your triumphant return to the car with your edible haul.
The sandwiches from the deli are decent, and a heck of a lunch deal. You’ll note the line at lunchtime, which means if your shopping list is deli heavy, go before the lunch rush. You’ll thank me.
They keep the place clean, it’s open 24 hours, it’s got 2 Redbox kiosks, and it’s a Harris Teeter so you get a free cookie.
The seafood section is pretty small and rather unimpressive. The staff is decent, both friendly and helpful, and you can tack on playful when it comes to a good portion of the night crew.
They win for convenience more than anything else. It’s a typical, albeit small location.

Typical Harris Teeter with an okay selection of both groceries and prepared foods. The lines here for sub sandwiches and sushi stack up at the lunch hour, and there are counter seats in the vestibule and tables outside for dining. The salad bar is average and soups rotate daily.
I am typically in this store early in the morning (6:30ish), and nobody shopping at this hour has more than a handful of items. It would be great for the self check-​outs to be open instead of corralling everyone into a single cash-​register line.

Excellent pharmacy. Good deli. Great butcher & bakery.
Harris teeter is a more upscale grocery store so expect to pay more

It’s convenient because it’s 24 hours but bad because it’s a bit expensive. If you have the vic card and use coupons like I do then it’s not so bad. The indoor sun area seating is divine for lunch outings.

The specials that they run are super great, they even will give you rain checks if they run out or substitute items which is great customer service. They have special times where they double coupons up to $ 2, which is insane for me, never having double coupons in FL. The deals are worth the trip, the rest is a bit expensive, but I usually shop sales. There is a nice little stop where you can try the weekly breads and dips, we’ve been introduced to many of our new favorites that way. I do enjoy that they have a bakery. This is probably the closest to Publix in terms of design and customer service, but not prices.

This place seems a little overpriced for what they have. The store is clean and you can get some good deals though with the VIC Card. I still think it is worth it to just drive up the road to Wegmans.

This Harris Teeter for me is more like a 3.5 star rating. But I give it the ½ star bump because of how close this establishment is to my workplace.
I have absolutely no qualms about this place except for the top fact that the top level parking is a bit tight and you may want to be careful when entering, exiting and parking in this parking lot. They do have a lower level parking garage but the spots are pretty tight and they have big white pillars next to the spots so be careful when parking down below as well. Also if you happen to come int his Harris Teeter during lunch time and you plan on grabbing a sandwich be prepared to wait in a pretty long line.
However, other than those minor things their aren’t many issues I have with this store. I the staff is nice and helpful. The store clean and it is quite spacious in this store. I have never used the bathroom in this store so I’m not sure how clean their bathrooms are but I am going to go out on a limb and say they are pretty clean based on how clean and organized the store is kept (Do not hold me to that though. I do not want to see Unilocal hate responses because you guys found the bathroom dirty, I have warned you all that I never used their restroom… lol)
Overall this is one of my go to places for lunch. Especially when I want to make my own salad. Personally I’m satisfied with this place hopefully if you plan to go I hope you will be too.

I used to live right across from this ²⁴⁄₇ Harris Teeter. As someone who had lived across the street from a grocery store (non-​24/​7) for the last 3 years, I’m here to tell you this is a blessing and a curse. It’s great that I can walk to the grocery store. It’s terrible that I can walk to the grocery store and buy hoards of snacks at 3 AM when I can’t sleep and shouldn’t be eating.
All in all though, it’s a good store. Things are pricey unless they’re on sale. On the plus side, HT sales are typically unbeatable… especially on staples like milk, Goldfish and Clif bars. Produce is the most expensive in the area, but it’s also the only place where berries will last more than 2 – 3 days. And let me tell you, acquiring produce in NoVA is a hassle. Nothing lasts as long as it should and the quality is mediocre. I suppose I was spoiled living near so many fresh crops in New Jersey.

I am a huge fan of Harris Teeter and this store is a nice one. It is clean, open 24 hours, underground parking, located near other business that I like, great customer service. Just be sure to grab a free sugar «crack» cookie on the way out for your kid (you know that cookie is for you!!!).

Two sections — the floral department and the bakery/​deli — - keep me coming back despite the un-​navigable parking lot. I’ve been hit twice here and my poor little lexus has collected other various other dings and scrapes due to the planner’s 1– either poor geometry skills or 2– his distorted near future vision of a world where people drive only microcars. Outside of parking and the superstar departments, the rest is a positive– but standard grocery store experience. it’s a place where the staff know your face if not your name and where loyal customers who say hello are rewarded with fresh intel on what is new and tasty, like arrivals of wensleydale with either cranberries and apricot or the best capicollo for your muffuletta, or fragrant, long lasting stargazer lilies, or the new petit fours that are a big hit.
Moon, the florist here, is really talented and makes beautiful and creative arrangements you’d expect to find at a specialty florist at much higher prices. You can bring in your own vase and she specially crafts a custom arrangement for you for any occasion, charging only for the flowers. You’ll want to request her by name.
Alan, who works deli and bakery, creates beautiful patisserie and takes a lot of pride in his work and his treatment of customers. He shares his latest culinary and baking finds and makes everyone feel like he’s truly happy to serve them.
The rest of the store is pretty well-​stocked with five different eggplant varieties in produce and Weekly email specials. There is an ok salad bar but wish the management would carry Castelvetrano olives on the bar. That and the parking are my only complaints to an otherwise fantastic shopping experience.

This is one of the closer grocery stores to my work so I frequent it for lunch and quick grocery pick ups. If you drive, don’t mess around with bumper cars in the lot out front. Duck into the garage for ding free parking.
When I’m feeling healthy, I walk there and get the salad bar. I am a self proclaimed salad bar professional. Want to be a salad bar pro like me? Here is how.
How to work the salad bar like a BOSS:
1. Grab the big container; small container is for chumps. if you get the small container, you’re gonna have a bad time.
2. Pull a Popeye and load up on Spinach. It’s good for you, it weighs very little, and is a good bang for your buck.
3. Put some red onions on there because they’re delicious. Just a couple though, they are not good bang for your buck and they will give you hot breath.
4. Grab a couple of those Mozzarella balls floating around with the tomatoes. Skip the tomatoes and avoid the juice.
5. Don’t be fooled by the plain black olives, skip ‘em.
6. Skip all that fruit stuff, it’s heavy and doesn’t belong in a BOSS salad.
7. Remember how we skipped those decoy olives? On the flip side of the salad bar, we have the marinated olives. Scoop out some of them avoiding as much of the juice as possible — can’t be weighing down the salad with olive juice.
8. For color, get a big scoop of crumbled bacon. Because bacon is friggin delicious.
9. Grab a couple pieces of chicken and/​or eggs. Whatever you think came first. Not too much though, because they are heavy. Load up too much on eggs, and you’re gonna have a bad time.
10. Finally, for dessert, sprinkle a few of those Cranberries from the plastic jar thing. Bang! for your buck, good for you, and don’t weigh much.
If you made your salad right, it should be like 4 or 5 bucks and be delicious. If you failed and piled on a bunch of that macaroni salad crap, you’re gonna have a bad time at the register.

Three and a half stars. There’s an interesting late night subculture here. Staff’s extra friendly in recognizing regulars, probably because they’re so bored. As always, use your VIC card.
The dings downward from four stars are for A) the annoying pillars partitioning the parking lot from the thru lane. Visibility is almost zilch until you’ve edged halfway out, so navigating the lot can be slow going during daytime hours. B) Service may be friendly, but sometimes they’re so useless it boggles me. Two staff members will hang out and «supervise» the four self-​checkout stations instead of opening a register. In one instance only one staff member was on checkout duty, and the stations were closed despite just the single register open. Stems their losses from fraudulent produce shoppers, I guess. Then there was the plantain fiasco, where I called HT from work (and was forwarded to the produce department) to make sure they had plantains in stock… and when I arrived they had ONE. I could’ve stopped at 5 other stores on the way home had I known.
Cheese selection wanes in comparison to Whole Foods, and the dates on the individually packed wedges tend to be overly optimistic. Heirloom tomatoes looked a little sketchy. On average, the non-​organic produce quality is good enough that if I need some raw ingredients for the next day in a pinch, I won’t whine too much about coming here.

Woo-​hoo! Love this Harris Teeter store.
Clean, spacious, friendly staff and open 24 hrs! Even their sushi wasn’t too funky.
Plus, I never have trouble finding a parking spot and they allow cash back of up to $ 200.
