Been a student here for not quite two years now. Wonderful school for traditional martial arts training. Supportive learning environment for both adults and children with a family atmosphere. A great combination of serious training and good fun!

I can’t emphasize enough how this school is nothing like the McDojos (aka commercialized martial arts institutions) we see today. JGSI is true to the culture and traditions of Kung Fu, striving to preserve the art that has been carefully passed down for generations from highly esteemed grandmasters. I’m not kidding – it’s the real deal. As a student, I’ve had the opportunity to train in self defense as well as learn a wide range of forms, (very unique!) weapons, and techniques specific to the styles of the school.
**BONUS** students also have the chance to learn lion and dragon dance! YES!!!
Another plus is that the people are very personable and the instructors are very accommodating. They will guide you with your training needs and will push you to be the best you can be. Tight-​knit almost family-​like, the school makes a very enjoyable group to be around.

We tried this place out over a year using a Groupon deal, and have been very happy here. This is a very traditionally run place, with roots directly from Grandmasters in China and Hong Kong. We enjoy the emphasis on cultural and historical learning.
The instructors are highly skilled and passionate about what they do, and are just A+ people all around. It is not just another McDojo where they pass kids on through the belt factory. We have been impressed with the skill level and the high expectations of students here, as well as the camaraderie and friendliness that is extended to anyone who steps through the doors.
