Service is not good. Staff seemed overwhelmed an not attentive. I had to clean my own table off with napkins and hand sanitizer. I arrived for lunch at 1:05 and received my food at 1:58. On a scale of 1 – 10 the food was a 2 because it was burnt

The service is extremely slow. It took over 40 minutes to cook my meal on the grill! My lunch break is only 30 minutes. There is not sense of urgency & nobody seemed to care.

Great food! Fill up your bowl with your choice of protein, top it with Veggies, pick your sauce, and leave it at the counter for the cooks to fry on their grill. They bring you the food and you enjoy. They recommend 2 cups of sauce for a large bowl. Way too much sauce for me. I would recommend only ½ or 1 cup for the large bowl and ask for the rice on the rice in the side. I would definitely come back!

This place just opened and the food was great. The staff was very friendly and they have a neat concept that allows people to taste the different seasonings. It’s a nice new place that is clean, modern and we had a great experience.

Fun spot for lunch. There’s no waiters, open seating, and no typical counter to order at. Here’s how it works: Upon entering, pay for your meal and receive either a large or regular bowl. I highly recommend using the regular bowl if it’s your first time. Head over to the buffet and you put together your lunch. Choose from chicken, pork, beef, tofu, imitation crab, a sundry of veggies, and some spices. Fill your bowl with as much as you want, doesn’t matter how overflowing or how tall your food tower is, you’re good to go. Select a marinade to spoon into a small cup then take your creation to the kitchen where you’ll pick a type of noodle or rice and receive a number. After that, just pick a drink and a seat and in about 5 – 10 minutes your lunch is delivered. The food is delicious and the flavor combos are whatever you want. The only drawback is I think they tend to overcook the proteins a bit. Fantastic idea and great execution. Even at the lunch rush there was plenty of seating in a remarkably clean area. The buffet does tend to get a bit messy, but it looks like they thoroughly clean it often and most of the messiness is wiped away shortly. I’ll definitely be returning.

We have been to this place a couple of times. pretty decent affair .u pick the raw ingredients — meats and veggies and spices and it’s made to your liking. it’s a self serve sort of deal so not much is expected from the staff. The place has more traffic on Fridays and is a good stop for quiet dinner on weekdays.

It was my first time, food was delicious. The cost should be $ 1 less for each bowl. If you don’t cook at home, you take the risk of not knowing how to mix your ingredients. In my case, I cook a lot and spices I added turned out to be a great dish :-). Will go back again for sure

Hmm, I’m torn about this place. I think it’s way overpriced because I’ve been to other Mongolian grills like this in VA before, and they have better pricing for the amount of food. I’ve noticed that they skimp on the rice here but give a ton of noodles. For example, I felt looted recently after I got my regular bowl with rice — I had piled on the toppings from the bar, but the result was pretty small. I’ve seen noodle bowls and the amount was much better for a full meal. Tip: Skip the rice. Get the noodles for higher food quantity. On the other hand, I like the sauces and the spices available. They pair well together, and the menu has great ideas if you get overwhelmed with the number of choices. I think there are a few flavor profiles missing(peanut sauce would be amazing), but the variety is still decent. The timing of the food can vary based on your arrival time. In my experience, lunch time definitely slows things down. It’s nice, though, that they bring the food out to your table. There’s even some outdoor seating! You can just relax and not feel pressured to leave immediately after your meal. Bottom line: my biggest gripes with this place are the food quantity(small) and price(high). But it’s a decent enough place for lunch or dinner.

Decent lunch place. Not good, Not bad. It is what you expect out of a self-serve, assembly line restaurant. You first pay for the meal(either a large ~$ 15 or regular bowl~$ 10) and then you get to slap on the ingredients you want in your bowl. The quality of the ingredients were slacking as the meats looked like they were sitting out for a while since the containers they held a lot of water(the meat was obviously frozen before). I was surprised to see squid in the meats section. The veggies looked normal and definitely eatable, if that’s a word. After you choose your meats and veggies, the spices were next, there were only 6 spices you could put on(pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder, cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes, and sea salt) but that’s salt and pepper is all you really need in my opinion. The last part of the ingredients bar was the sauce you put on it. This is where you really need to pay attention as the sauce selection carries over to what your food is going to taste like. I chose the ginger sauce. Next you head over to the gigantic grill where they ooh and ahh you with their gigantic chopsticks and cook your meal with them. This is where you also select your starch or carb(e.g. rice noodles, pasta noodles, rice, salad). I’m partial to rice noodles so I got those. The food took about 8 minutes to cook depending on how much you put in your bowl. If you are dining in, they actual bring the cooked food to you! Overall, I had a good experience here, if you want to try it, you can, but you’re not missing out on much.

They could be much better. They just don’t seem to care. They ran out of clean forks, and we used spoons and plastic forks until more came. They had no chopsticks. Food prep area was dirty. Food was just okay, but not a good value.

It was a fine experience… I have fond memories going to Mongolian barbecue with my family as a child. The atmosphere was exciting and my brother and I would be able to go up many times and create different flavor bowls! Here the food was good, but we had to pay 15 dollars for one bowl, unable to go and create multiple dishes. 15 dollars for one bowl is quite pricy in my opinion. Additionally, while at Mongolian bbq the staff looked excited and worked together on stir fry, here a woman who looked overheated and exhausted cooked our food. I felt so bad for her! This is a fine place to try once or even go back once in a while, but I can’t see myself making this a regular date night spot.

I’ve been dying to try this place after a friend was talking about it. A make your own stir fry place, best idea ever! First you choose your bowl size, small or large. It is a bit on the pricey side but if you stack well you can get your money’s worth! Then you get free rein on a huge selection of meats, veggies, and sauces! I choose chicken and steak, and lots of it! Piled with broccoli, peppers, spring onions, they have it all! The hardest part is deciding on what sauce to use. I used two different ones, teriyaki and sweet and sour. It turned out great! Then you bring your bowl of goodness to another counter and choose your carb, rice noodle, rice, fried rice they have a huge selection of everything. I choose fried rice. Then they cook it all up for you on this huge flat top grill and bring it fresh and hot to your table. Bonus, on Mondays you get a free dessert with the purchase of an entrée! I chose the brownie sundae, it was delicious! A warm brownie with ice cream, hit the spot!

Nothing to complain about here and everything to rave about! You are the chef and you can’t go wrong! Agreed, the décor is minimalistic but who cares when you get this amazing fresh product! Danial who has been there for three months is the glue that holds it all together! He is everywhere and oh so helpful! Can’t wait to eat here again!

This place has great sauces, and a good selection of fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is average, but the food is great, and it comes out fast. I live in Alexandria. Please open one over here!

Food is just okay here. It satisfied our need for some basic stir fry. Fairly healthy. The problem with these places is getting the flavors right. They offer so many sauces but the end result never has much flavor. I wish they had some«cheat sheets» with ideas on flavor combinations. The place is always empty at dinner time so it’s quick to get through the line and have your food cooked. Can’t say that the staff is friendly or not — there is not much interaction to speak of. We don’t come here often and probably won’t be back for a while but won’t write it off either… it’s a decent last minute standby.

I’m a big fan of Khan’s. When you walk in you decide if you want the small or large bowl of ingrediants. Now I’m a pretty big guy with a healthy appetite and the small was enough to fill me up. I cant see myself ever getting the large unless I was saving some for later. Small is about 11 bucks, large I believe almost 15. Once you pay you can fill your bowl as high as possible or as you like. I love their fish and crab but they have chicken as well. I’ve had a few instances where the chicken wasnt cooked all the way so I stray from it now. You then go down the line and fill your veggies. Broccoli, onions, and mushrooms are what I typically get. Then spices and a large selection of sauces. I always go teriyaki with chili powder. You then walk to the cooks, carefully balancing your creation and you choose between white/fried rice or noodles. As far as cooking time your meal will probably be done in 10mins. The end result is very good and flavorfull stir fry. My only knocks are the yogurt stand isnt very good and again, a few times I had some uncooked raw chicken. Luckily this happened while I dined in and they apologized and recooked it.

Mighty Khan’s is an above average stir-fry joint that’s good for kids and groups. The veggies are fresh, the lines are rarely long(at least on weekends and evenings) and the place is clean. If you’re craving a stir fry and are in the area, you could do a lot worse. At best, it can be very good. The accommodating staff and frozen yogurt bar make it a good place for kids. That said, this place has some real flaws: 1) The only thing the restaurant staff really cooks, the fried rice, is mostly sub-par. It’s minor but it’s really something they should get right. 2) While they do seem to pay real attention to freshness, some things on the toppings bar probably shouldn’t be there at all. White onions, for example, basically have to be cut shortly before use or they take on a rather nasty sour taste. They seem to cut them once a day.(Tons of places, including some pretty good restaurants also do this, so it’s not a huge fault.) But, for a place that’s only a stir-fry buffet, some more attention might be justified here. 3) The prices are a bit high for what you get. Given that there’s no need to give 20 percent tips(although slipping the table clearers a few dollars is a nice gesture), the price isn’t awful but, for a self-serve/limited portions place, it’s not cheap cheap either. So, yeah, go here. But don’t expect to be blown away.

I’m an instant fan of Mighty Khan’s and it is with great certitude that I assert that I will most definitely return. Are you an omnivore? Are you vegan? Are you vegetarian? Do you like veggies? Do you hate veggies? Are you a pescatarian? Are you obsessed with choosing the exact quantity of your food portions? Do you like the idea of paying only $ 15 for dinner and not being charged by weight of your food? Do you also enjoy spices, sauces, noodles, rice, or salad greens? Did you answer YES to any of the above questions? If so, give this place a try. I was initially hesitant, as I have had some not-so-stellar Mongolian-style BBQ experiences in the past. You walk in, head towards the register, and specify if you’d like the 16– or 28-oz size bowl(this is silly — they should just call it regular or large since you’re not limited to a weight and this sizing only is of the volume of the bowl itself). They also have special pricing at lunch time for the smaller bowl. Pricing is the same regardless of the noodle/rice/lettuce option you choose. The place is clean, and you do choose your own meat/protein/veg/etc at a buffet-style bar before giving it to the stir-fry masters, so if you’re skeeved out by tongs and serving yourself, you might need to look past that or not come here. However, the serving area appeared well-maintained and tongs were plentiful and I didn’t see cross-contamination going on from bin to bin. I would like to see better labeling of the sauces and spices, however. They do have sample spoons and little containers that you put the sauces in separately for the stir-fry chefs to add. I also liked to use the small containers to grab some snap peas and such to munch on while i was waiting for my creation to be prepared. Bright, cheery atmosphere, plenty of parking in the lot, and prompt creation and delivery of food. I was proud of my spice fiend creation, and even could add more sriarcha or chili paste after the fact. We definitely didn’t leave hungry! They also have a fro-yo station with a self-serve fro-yo machine with unlimited toppings, which I’m sure is wildly popular with kiddos, but it wasn’t the type of fro-yo that I prefer; it’s more the style that you’d find at TCBY in the 90s. I will definitely be back, possibly to see how they handle the lunch crowd!
