They rescheduled our first appointment for an estimate to install a patio and never showed up or called to cancel the second appointment causing my husband to be late for work that day as he waited around for 45 minutes after the estimator was supposed to arrive. I emailed them for an explanation and never heard back from them. What a waste of time.

Wasted our time! We scheduled an appointment with Stone Patios VA for an estimate on some work on our home. The project included the demo and reconstruction of retaining walls, brick stairs, and cement base below our porch. On the day of the appointment, we called the company because they were 30 minutes late and no one had showed up. The company owner proceeded to tell us that it was a schedule oversight, and that he could be at our place within 45 minutes. The gentleman showed up and we went over the work to be performed. Through the process he kept asking, «what is the budget?» We explained to him that we didn’t want him to build an estimate based on a budget, but rather on the cost to perform the work; he should know his rates and how much the project would cost then provide us a commensurate estimate… the budget is for the customer to figure out. Bottom line, we refused to provide him a budget in fear that he would build the work statement based on a budget and not on the work to be performed. A few days went by since our appointment, and we received no estimate or proposal. We contacted Stone Patios a week later and asked for an estimate, and we were told we would have it «in the next day or so». It has been 5 weeks since our initial appointment and we still have no proposal or estimate. To SPVA: Please learn to value your customers’ time as your own. We both took time off work to be here for this appointment, and you almost didn’t even show up. Beyond that, you never provided the estimate as promised. If you don’t want to take on the work, then tell the customer that upfront… don’t waste our time!
