Not a bad place to stay if you are by yourself and just need a place to crash but they are not at all handicapped accessible. We even called ahead and they said it wouldn’t be a problem. There is only one room that we could get my scooter into. All of the other rooms had either a flight of stairs or a big step at the door. When we checked in the employee made a big deal about them having to relocate one of their regulars so that we could use the room. I wasn’t aware we were staying in an apartment complex. Luckily I can walk short distances because otherwise I would not have been able to use the bathroom. If I had been in an actual wheelchair it would not have worked. The breakfast area is on the second floor so I had to go up a flight of stairs. When I finally hobbled upstairs(I had recently had surgery) it was only to find out that there was nothing for a diabetic to eat unless I wanted cold hard boiled eggs. We ended up stopping at an area grocery store and picking up some cereal. Never seen a hotel/motel breakfast without at least oatmeal. The room had a microwave but it looked like an antique and worked just as well. 5 minutes to cook something that should have taken less than 2 minutes and it was still not cooked through. They advertise that they are close to Hershey Park but what they don’t tell you is to get to the front entrance it is a couple of miles out of the way past all of these other hotels that do not push how close to the park they are. The kids did have fun in the pool but as we were spending most of our time at the park they didn’t get to use it much. We stayed six nights and although housekeeping straightened the room daily they didn’t change the sheets once. You may wonder how I know this. I have two children and they spilled on one of the pillows the first night. That pillow moved from bed to bed every day, always with the spill facing down. We would turn it spill side up before we left for the day. My kids made a game out of finding the dirty pillow every night when we got back from the park. And they left the curtains open after they finished straightening the room. All day. On the first floor. Anyone could walk by and see what was in the room. The broken outlet with bare wires hidden behind a chair concerned me but it was our last night there(and after 10pm) when my 7 year old pointed it out to me. If I had noticed it that first night we probably wouldn’t have stayed. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood and the gazebo is a nice touch but we will not be staying there again.

The room was clean. Breakfast was ok. It was close to things in Hershey. My complaint was No WIFI unless you went outside. The desk personal were helpful. I did hot use the pool so I can not tell you about that.

We and by that I mean all six of us, me the mrs, my ten, four, two and five month old in a a decent two bedroom suite with a decent kitchenette for two days. The room was very clean, the indoor pool was nice too, the continental breakfast was nice and the three older kids enjoyed the waffle maker. A nice middle price range hotel, it’s a family run place so that was a plus for us

The best $ 49 I ever spent on a room! Clean and quiet with new furniture and electronics. The accommodating staff was nice enough to let me keep my reservation, even though I was very late. No breakfast buffet, just a simple, nice space with hot water and a comfortable pillow-top bed. I’ll definitely keep this place in mind for next time.

Absolutely one of the worst experiences ever at any hotel have ever stayed in. Regardless of the lack of customer service regarding a potential family emergency at home that would have made the stay impossible… We found the room to be dirty beyond belief. One of our family stepped in what can only be considered excrement from an animal of some sort — rabbit perhaps — and had it all over his sock. This was just the start — as you enter the bathroom, there was mold around the shower fixture, hair left on the door, a mirror that was looking decrepit and losing its backing as well as a toilet that ran all night until we turned the water off to it. There were also shingles on the roof that were pulled away and in disrepair; and not in the middle of a fixing job — just pulled off. Customer service for Choice Hotels has been somewhat satisfactory in the follow up — but they didn’t even take into account the pictures I sent them. If they had seen what we had experienced, I would have thought it would have been light years different. I know it is a vacation destination and they can charge more, but I would have expected considerably better conditions for 150+/night. M.R.

It’s NOT the Hershey Hotel by any stretch of the imagination but if your looking for a clean hotel at reasonable rates this may be for you. Located close to everything we have made this an annual stop when visiting the area. The rooms are clean, the indoor pool in nice as is the continental breakfast. A variety of room sizes from small to huge and all at great rates. Accomodating staff as well.
