Never disappointed by this sushi place. The fish is so fresh that I consistently don’t need soy sauce to help it out. The selections with jalapeño slices are my favorite. The yellowtail classic is a memory maker for me. I get it every time I return. The screaming salmon app is awesome. The sake is great too. Love it.

Typically everything is pretty fresh and tasty. Since there are very few good and quick restaurants in the area, it can get really busy and service can be a little sketchy depending on day of the week/time you go.

I got takeout from here last week and I was not impressed whatsoever. The sushi was pretty fishy and the tempura batter was chewy instead of flaky and crunchy. My suggestion is find a different sushi place if you are thinking of going here. Not a fan at all. I won’t be returning.

My boyfriend moved here a little over a year ago for work, and we have been skeptical to try sushi places. Coming from the NYC area, we have some of the best sushi places around. However, we are both so glad we tried this place! The rolls were great, although a bit small, but the fish was very fresh! Tako su appetizer was great also! Place was packed on a Saturday night and people coming in and out to order/pickup takeout. Service was good– waitresses friendly. Ambiance was cool– can either sit in the sushi bar(high top tables or right at the bar) or in the dining area. Definitely will be back!

I have dined at many Japanese restaurants. This by far was the worst~! We had to go to Mcdonald’s to kill the tastes. What a waste of 81.00. The soup was warmed up water with a mushroom in it. It literally tasted liked dishwater. The hibachi food was teaming up with teriyaki sauce, I guess to kill the fact the food was not good. The salad was the only item that was at least average. The presentation was nice, but that is as nice as it gets. I would recommend any fast food place over this one.

I like that this place has a parking lot, although the parking lot is a bit awkward. You can either sit at the sushi bar or dine. The interior is pretty nice, it has a different look to it. The co-workers I feel barely know english because she had no idea what I was trying to say. The food is delicious though. The soup I had, I wasn’t a fan of. I’m sorry but nobody I’ve found makes it better than Benihana. The prices were reasonable as well, especially for it being in Hershey. I came here twice, so obviously I’m a fan.

I don’t know what it is lately, but I haven’t been happy with the past new places I’ve eaten. I am sorry to say… Blah for Wasabi Bistro. Service was fine. Décor was very nice and that’s all I can say that was good. Confusing large menu. High prices and the sushi was TASTELESS!!! I have spicy crap roll and eel with some sort of crust and deep fried. My husband had spicy salmon and a roll with cucumber and black fish eggs. Our comments to each other were just about the same… tasteless. Spicy rolls for both of us were anything but spicy. Our other rolls were equally tasteless. I’m the sushi lover in the family and my husband can take it or leave it. I’m from LA, born in Detroit and have spent a lot of time in Chicago. We’ve traveled so we aren’t newbies to sushi. We will not be returning… ever! Blah Blah

Good lunch special options and reasonable pricing. A tasty option for the value. Not the best I have had but it was enjoyable as an inexpensive sit down lunch. I ordered a chicken tempura bento box. It came with soup and salad. Sushi The shortcomings: The miso soup was very bland, and some what watery. The salad had a mayo based ginger dressing which I did not expect. The California roll was made with Krab. Yes. Krab with a K. And was prepped long before I ordered it, making it about supermarket quality. The good: The tempura was tasty and so was the dipping sauce. The breading was airy with a nice crunch. The rice filled me up the rest of the way and the siu mai that came on the side was very delicious. No meat in it though. The service was friendly and prompt. Good lunch choice so far, I have yet to try their specialty rolls before I will consider my review fair.

I come here every couple of months to catch up with friends, and the sushi never disappoints. The spicy kani bowl is tasty and a perfect size, and the«sea singer roll» and«stop, drop, and roll» are always favorites. We often come on a weeknight and while we are always seated quickly, there’s always a healthy crowd. The only complaint, is that sometimes they seem a bit understaffed, which can lead to delays in getting your food(abt 30 min from time ordered) on nights that don’t seem very busy.

Went there for the reviews, and man were we disappointed. So let me start off by saying we weren’t seated immediately, which is understandable if it were busy but there isn’t anyone even assigned to seating arrangements, just a scattered staff. Then the menu itself is confusing, no where does it state that the chef chooses which sushi you eat. But we felt adventurous, so we went for it. The soup, salad & Kani salad were good. But the sushi hand roll, the sashimi, & chef roll weren’t. I never complain about price because if it’s delicious then it’s worth it. But when I looked at our«love boat» I thought it was a joke. Literally one hand roll & one chef roll with a few small random pieces of fish which didn’t taste fresh. I’m not the type to complain but I was so tempted to, because I felt it was truly a rip off. Who knows maybe at one point this place was good, but to me as of today it was bad. Definitely not a place I’d return to.

This restaurant is a good example of the old proverbial caution to not judge a book by its cover. Settled along the outskirts of Hershey the large sign makes the establishment easy to find. Inside, the décor is chic and tasteful. Service was prompt and there were plenty of choices for types of sushi, which is what my boyfriend and I were after. The sushi was good! My favorite of the ones we ordered was the TNT roll. Very tasty, would recommend!

Came here after a day at the park. The service was good. The sushi selection was pretty good(being from DC were kind of picky sushi eaters) and they had a decent bar. Recommend it if you want something other than American food while in Hershey.

We were visiting Hershey park and stayed at a motel in Chocolate Ave. This restaurant was one of the few restaurants close to our hotel so we decided to give it a shot. There was another Japanese restaurant(Sakura Do) nearby but we decided on this one because it looked more family friendly. The shrimp tempura and beef teriyaki were awesome. The beef was tender and tasty. My 6 year old kid is picky and no matter where we go, she would always choose chicken tender and fries over anything. It wasn’t on the menu but I asked anyway and much to my surprise, they serve my daughter chicken and fries. WINWIN! Oh and the staff is super friendly!

Excellent Salmon tempura and appetizers. Worth a trip for dinner. The food is excellent and the service is very good. I would recommend this place as I was not even in the mood for Japanese food before we went out but glad we did go for Japanese and the Bistro.

Love, love, love this place! We go once a week for the food, service, variety, and consistency. Fish is fresh, the rolls are unique, and Ivan and his staff make us feel welcome the moment we walk through the door. Love the yellowtail classic roll(tuna with avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, and a bangin sauce), uni shots with ponzu and quail egg, and the twister roll which has avocado & mango… Delish!!! Best sushi in PA!

We decided on Wasabi Bistro when we wanted to eat dinner before a concert at Hershey Park. First this is a great choice because the franchise restaurants were crazy busy and at Wasabi we were seated right away. The sushi is out of this world. I had the Hollywood Roll which was beyond delicious and the spicy tuna. My sister had the spicy tuna bowl appetizer and it was amazing. Very fresh and beautifully prepared. This will be our go to spot when we are in town!

This review is completely biased as someone who eats Japanese a lot in NYC. We stumbled into this place after our initial plan of eating at the lone Viet restaurant in Hershey was sabotaged by the restaurant closing early inexplicably. The food isn’t particularly good but it isn’t terrible either. Choices are standard and the sushi bar has its own unique rolls which appeal to those who like fusion cuisine. Service was a little slow but attentive. It’s getting 2 stars because the sushi rice was absolutely bland. No mirin, no vinegar. It was like plain white rice, which was a shame since the fish quality there was surprisingly decent. Still its a nice change of pace from the predominantly American eateries in Hershey.
