Great food. Good place to go. I cant wait to go again. One of the better foods in the desert.

Wow great food! The prices are even better. I’d highly recommend trying harrells BBQ out. Family owned by an active duty service man it doesn’t get any more good old American small business than that. I will diffinatly be returning soon for more great food

I really wanted to like this place as the young man who helped us tonight was very friendly. Sad to say but the ribs tasted several days old and tough, over salted green beans, baked beans taste like canned, not good potato salad, and shredded brisket was swimming in i don’t know what. Surprisingly their corn bread was good though. So embarrassed to say (but people should be warned) stomach percolating/​cramping/​and the unmentionable… belly is still sore hour later :(

Let me sum up. Disappointing. Now to elaborate… I’ll try to keep it brief yet informative.
As soon as I walked in this place I knew I would be disappointed. Two GLARING indications that this would be anything short of «famous BBQ».
1. No smoke smell… at all. Nada. Bad omen.
2. I saw a bottle of «Sweet Baby Ray’s» BBQ sauce in the kitchen… the cheap (yet decent) stuff you can buy at any grocery store. I’m sorry if your sign says «Famous BBQ» in it, you should at least have your own sauce… or at least have the dignity to hide it in an unmarked bottle.
Now if your definition of BBQ is «meat with BBQ sauce on it» you may think I’m being too harsh and by all means give this place a shot. or not. Let’s go with not. But you’d think if you own a BBQ joint you should at least know what it means. It means cooking at low heat, for VERY long periods of time, WITH SMOKE! Anything else is grilling… or just cooking.
I ordered the pulled pork and brisket combos with mac n cheese, slaw, spicy beans.
Pulled Pork — Was pulled WAY to stringy. No chunks and just soaked in way too much of the finest sauce Stater Bros. can provide. All you tasted was sauce. Mushy and very unsatisfying.
Brisket — Pulled Pork’s evil twin… like identical twin. This pulled pork zygote separated early with all the same mushy, stringy, sauciness as it’s sibling. Only it’s mother would know the difference… and that difference is a slight beefyness in the taste.
Beans — Meh
Slaw — Not too bad. But bland. What is it with cooks (there is NO chef here I promise) who don’t add salt to anything? This would have been pretty good… and it did add some texture and crunch to the mushy meat medley that it accompanied. So it had that going for it… which is nice.

Peach Cobbler — Good
So 2 stars. It’s all edible… but so is Arby’s so there you go.

Great vegetarian barbecue mac & cheese collard greens spicy beans and a couple sugar free 7up sodas hallelujah

I have been here probably 6 times in 2 months. Absolutely love the place. I have tried just about everything on the menu and the only thing keeping this place from being a 5 is the service can be extremely bad if they get a little rush. Once they work out that I’ll change the score. But overall wonderful people. Great food. And great value for the work that goes into what you are eating.

Loved the barbecue sauce on the pork ribs, Mac & cheese was dry and tastes like a day old or maybe two days old.
Corn is corn but it tastes good
I need to go back when everything is fresh cooked.

So the food is pretty good… But been there twice and both times orders were wrong… I live too far to go back… Make sure you check what your getting if you are ordering pick up. The writing in the box was correct just what was in the box was wrong. So kinda bummed about that. I’ll be back I will just have to open every box before I leave :)

I’ve eaten there 3 times in the last month because I LOVE bbq. First time I waited over a hour and 30 min for my food, but it was soooo worth it. The food was excellent and the lady even gave me a free small banana/​strawberry pudding and soda for my wait. The second time I called in and the food was almost ready when I got there, only waited 5 min and the food was once again excellent! The third time… well the usual lady wasn’t there and I’m not sure if that is what made the difference, but the food was flavorless, I waited 35 min, it was packed sloppy and I just didn’t enjoy the experience. Nevertheless, I will be having lunch there today because I just love bbq. I hope today will be more like my second visit (fingers crossed).
Well… I just called and it 3pm on Sunday and I was informed that will not be open until 4pm, although they were supposed to be open at 11am :/​I really want to love this place but they’re so unreliable. If the food wasn’t so good I would stop eating there but hey, it’s the best bbq I found in the High Desert so 4pm (hopefully) I will get my fix, lol.

Ordered a 4 meat combo. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket and tri tip. Awesome smoked flavor and a perfect sauce. Collard greens were great !!! Will definitely be back. Owner is great guy to chat with and active military. Support this man and our troops.

Oh Wow! Didn’t think I could find bomb azz BBQ in the HD. I ordered pork ribs, sauced & unsauced. Tender, just the right amount of smoked, & juicy. The Brisket, so very tender and flavorful. The Greens, come on now, restaurant greens are usually, well, awful.
These Greens were on point with flavor and tenderness. Yummy. I don’t like potato salad, these Harrell’s potato salad is the biznus. Baked beans, were good. The Mac n Cheese, aw! Just delicious. The dinner rolls, very tasty & soft.
I’ll definitely be returning. The 2 girls and young man in the back were very helpful, smiled and made conversation.
It’s a very small place with huge flavor.
The price: Can’t believe how reasonable.
I had the lunch specials and they ran about $ 8.99 a piece. Yes, worth the money :)

I’m so happy we tried Harrell’s today! My family and I enjoyed great food and excellent customer service. This place is a gem!
The ribs were delicious with just the right amount of smoke. The Tri tip was tender and super flavorful. All of the sides were on point, excellent mac and cheese, greens and potato salad.
We will be back!

We had the Pulled Pork and the Tri Tip… We were impressed with both. Good BBQ is very hard to find… Mac and Cheese was awesome and the corn bread is so smooth and sweet… Not gritty like most… Hubby said best corn bread he has ever had! Looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing bbq the mac and cheese is out of this world and they love the military so they give us discounts. I’ve had the chicken and the ribs which have been amazing. You will never get left overs because it’s so good you have to finish it.

Please make sure you go at 12pm cause I’ve been there twice at 10am when it says it opens and it’s not so I really think they need to change the time. other then that I still haven’t been able to try the food
