Hesperia Christian School

I have three kids in this school. Paying tuition on three kids is hard, but worth it. The teachers have always been excellent, the education is second to none. For the money I spend, I’ve gotten three well behaved Christian kids, who are happy and have a great childhood.

This School Has very little to no diversity from the staff to the children that attend. My child attended this school from PK-​1^st grade and overall the education, and structure is great. But through visiting on numerous occasions I never really paid to much attention to my surroundings, I felt this is a great environment and my child is getting the best education, how can there be an issue. But during a visit for a Mother’s Day event that my child’s class held a student in her class asked me; ‘Why are me and my child Black, and why would we ask God to be this way?’ After the mom and teacher just smiled at me and continued with activities ignoring the question that was just asked by the child. It made me look around and actually open my eyes. I realized this couldn’t be good for my young child. We live in a world that is filled with diversity. Being able to understand how important it is to surround yourself with diversity is crucial in society and is very important to sustain in life as my child grows. I made the choice to take my child out shortly after. I want her to go to a school where she can be surrounded by different nationalities and gain self confidence knowing that everyone is different and that’s ok. Seeing and being able to communicate with other people that look and share commonalities as her so that she does not develop any insecurities because she may be different is ideal. Being confined to an environment where she may feel like the only one was not my idea of a good environment to place my child in. She is still growing and learning how to socialize and communicate, I would hate to limit her from all the beautiful cultures that exists. I feel It is very important for kids growing up to be able to see all types of nationalities and an equal amount of role models to look up to as in teachers, coaches, and faculty/​staff as well.

Great school! As my kids begin their teenage years it’s nice to know they are taught values and morals. I can rest assure everyday that my teens are in a safe environment. The staff is very caring and understanding of each students needs. HCS also has a fantastic sports program. I highly recommend HCS to all parents in the High Desert!

This school is the best in the High Desert. High academic standards, anti bullying programs, kids being taught Biblical truth, not to mention a great sports program.

Great school my son attends and he is getting a quality education!
