Joey’s Casa Italiana

Joey’s was very disappointing. The entrance smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The dining area is old, dingy, rundown and unkept. The food was edible, but barely. Prices are high considering what they give you. My advice is to STAY AWAY !

If I could give this restaurant no stars I would. Me and my family live for food and love eating out! I have never wrote a review on Unilocal before but feel so angry and upset I needed to inform others of their experience dining at Joey’s last night. My parents went to Joey’s as they used to enjoy going to Le Bistro. It was my father’s birthday and they were both very excited to try it out. My father ordered the chicken parm which he said was not great but edible and a very small portion. My mom on the other hand ordered a seafood entrée with shrimp and calamari and told me it was absolutely inedible, When the server returned to ask how the food was my father was already done eating his entrée. He told the waiter that my mom could not eat her entrée and he took it and went into the kitchen. The server came back out offering my mom another choice for an entrée. My mother declined as they were just both upset by the whole experience and did not want to wait another 30 min for her food when my father had been done his meal already.
When they received the check the meal had not been taken off the price of the bill. They received NO discount, and NO APOLOGIES (which was the most upsetting part)!!
I have no idea what this owner is thinking not discounting their check or even removing the entrée all together. How is that good for business? This restaurant just opened you would think they would care more about wanting their guests to be happy and spread a good word! I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, there are much better restaurants, even if you have to travel a little farther. Try Café Amore, Khun Thon Thai, or even Franks Pizza!
