0 stars if that’s possible. Recommended by a friend. Oh — great food, the chef has all these awards. Blah blah blah. So we decided go for our anniversary. Possibly the worst meal out we’ve ever had out! Please don’t waste your time or $ going to this place. We had 2 apps, soup & shared a dinner. $ 30 for a salmon dinner at the diviest of places. Over cooked with crap creamed spinach & a raw panko crust on top. Muscles fra-diavolo that had no spice what so ever. Tasted more like a candied red sauce. Way to much sugar & no spice. Crispy calamari was not crispy. Guess we paid $ 80 to know never to go back there again.

Been wanting to try this place for some time now. Sandra and I stopped in on a Sunday for a bite to eat with boat on way back to marina. First off your better off going by car cause docks are horrible and actually falling apart. Upon entering we noticed the place to be a bit warn down and a bit dirty. We took a high table in bar area and waited for about 15 minutes for anyone to even notice us. The person behind the bar said oh I’m sorry I didn’t see you there and we are short staffed today – be right over. Another 10 minutes and she finally showed up. She gave us our menues and took our drink order. We notiticed the menue to be very small. We decided on just apps. Sandra had pulled pork sliders and I had tomato and mozzarella and we split a fried mozzarella also. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The pork sliders were very good and it was a generous potion. The mozzarella and tomato were just ok. Tomato was cut way to thick and the olive oil was very low quality and had zero flavor. The fried mozzarella was also very good. Fried perfectly and loaded with flavor. Over all service was close to non existent and when she did show up at our table or anyone else’s all she did was say sorry we are under staffed today. She must have said it 1000 times. I really don’t care and don’t want to hear it. Overall food was good. We will probably give it another try for dinner so we can try some entrees next summer.

Not that impressed with the second visit. We mistakenly agreed to sit outside in the last available table and didn’t realize the table was warped and the chairs were flimsy plastic(one broken at the table). Not what you would expect from what they are trying to be. The service was fine but the presentation was lacking. The food is good if your stopping in from the lake but it is not really worth the drive. I remember from my previous visit that the cocktails were good.

Food is excellent but choice of pub fare or gourmet. Great view of the lake. The building itself is being improved gradually with would then give Latitude 415 stars.

We sat outside, which was lovely. The menu we received for lunch was not terribly exciting, but all in all we were satisfied with our meals. Service was friendly enough. It’s about ½ hour from where I live so I’ll probably not go back.

Quite possibly the worst dinner experience to date. The water tastes like minerals, the hostess and wait staff are unfriendly, and the overall organization of the restaurant is laking. Apps are delicious but the entrees are mediocre. Will not be coming back here.

Amazing food!!! I held a baby shower at my house which was catered by latitude! My guests were so happy !! The chicken franchise was loaded with flavor and the salad with a warm goat cheese puff nothing like it! Your guests will enjoy a meal for dinner on the lake or a catered afternoon party poolside at your home! Thanks again guys for doing such a good job! Samantha

I was so happy when this place reopened after so many years. I can literally walk here in 10 mins and not have to worry about DUI. He really has good food. I can rarely find frog legs in NJ and he has them. Great place to eat and enjoy the lake.

I give it three starts only because of the location and nice setting. Had quick bite here at the bar because it was too chilly to sit outside, food decent. Nothing great.

We came here for the grand opening a couple of years ago — the chef is supposed to be a hot shot and was trained at Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute in Rhode Island — according to their website: «Chef Jason Hajek is an Executive Chef with an enormous amount of culinary & hospitality experience, but mostly talent!» He is also the youngest recipient ever of the Antonin Careme medal by the Culinary Association of the Pacific Coast. So I had high expectations. I was let down during the grand opening week — the food was mediocre and the restaurant wasn’t finished. Chef Jason was overwhelmed(understandably) and tried his best, but the whole experience was a little off. I went back this week to see how they are doing, hoping they were finished renovating and had their menu and service sorted out. They are on the lake, the weather was finally nice after a long winter, and it seemed like a good time to give them a second chance. Unfortunately, I can’t say anything has improved. The entranceway is still not finished. The interior of the bar area is very threadbare. As they had top shelf liquor at the bar — and a nice drink menu featuring cocktails and martinis — I asked for an Old Fashioned w/Bulleit Bourbon. The waitress came back after 5 minutes and asked what kind of glass I wanted it in — a rocks glass, or a Martini glass? I told her that I wanted it in a proper Old Fashioned glass — in this case, a rocks glass — and she said well some of her customers asked for it in a Martini glass ‘because they didn’t know how to drink them’ When I finally got the Old Fashioned 10 minutes later, it was in a small glass, had pulp floating on top, and no muddled sugar or bitters. I sent it back and ordered a margarita instead, which was just okay. We ordered 2 bowls of New England Clam Chowder. The color was grey, and there were no potatoes in the chowder. I ordered BBQ chicken wings and my fiancé ordered the fried calamari. The wings were over-sauced, and nondescript. The calamari was bland, unseasoned and on the soggy side. Service was slow and the waitress was surly. The entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth(literally and figuratively) so we asked for the check, paid and left without finishing our food. I can’t imagine why a chef as decorated and renown as Chef Jason, who counts himself«amongst the ranks of Julia Child & Martin Yan to name only a couple of great Chefs» according to his website, would care so little about his restaurant or his customers to serve such lackluster fare with such a disinterested staff. Latitude 41 is the only lakefront restaurant on the New Jersey side of Greenwood Lake, and it should be and could be a knockout success. Unfortunately for its patrons, it does not live up to its potential.

After a day hiking around the lake we stopped in here on our way back home. This place has food and a drink menu– with an emphasis on small plates– which are great. You can get little lamb chops cooked perfectly or a tasty short ribs! Excellent fresh ground beef burger and the salads are to die for. Desserts are all home made and top quality. You can sit outside right on the water. We had a wonderful waitress who was charming. We had an all around good experience with the food and service.

This gem on the lake serves delicious and innovative cuisine. The slider choices vary and are delicious. The place is always upgrading their atmosphere and has music some nights. We like to sit in the deck hear the music and enjoy the lapping if the waves on the shoreline

Great food, friendly service and excellent entertainment. The Jax burger rules, ask for extra sauce. Specials always good. The best band I ever saw played there. Drunk Uncle I think they were called. Great time!

We probably won’t come back here, unless we only wanted some beers and no food. The entire experience was strange. We walked in, and it appeared that many staff members will milling about(including 2 behind an empty bar), yet no one greeted us. That should have been our signal to turn around and go somewhere else. Outdoor seating is very limited. We were disappointed that we couldn’t sit outside, but that’s understandable. So we were finally seated inside and got the menu. A lot of dishes with bacon. Good selection of tapas. Our server seemed a bit off. We might have been his only table. The other servers seemed friendly and outgoing, while ours was absent. We order the fried mozzarella, which was very good. A nice tomato sauce with a generous amount of basil. My Caesar Salad(with anchovies!) was delicious. I was feeling confident that this experience was turning around. My husband had a sausage and peppers sandwich, which he described as good. The fries looked like standard freezer section crinkle fries, which was very disappointing. I had an order of chicken wings, which came without any of the traditional accompaniment. They were cooked nicely but over sauced. I did appreciate the extra napkins and wet wipes. We’re just about finished, and my husband has had 1 beer(now empty for a while). Our server is nowhere to be seen. A band is setting up for their 9PM performance. Finally, I flagged down a different server and asked for our check. Our server, whom we haven’t seen since we first started eating our entrees, comes in from the bar where he appears to be chatting with regulars and perhaps rolling silverware. Overall, the staff seemed more excited about the couple who came in to sit at the bar for some drinks than they were for anyone eating dinner. Had the food been accompanied by even marginally better service, there would be a much better rating. There are too many better restaurants in the area for me to want to come back and have poor service.

It’s a special local bar, have nice home made food. And the service was very friendly and allow us to ask him for any questions. It was located next to the lake, nice view and indoor has unique art gallery with ocean theme. Very cute place to go to. recommitted.

Love, love coming here! Close to home and delicious food! Tonight was a tapas dinner for me. Jason seared the fois gras perfectly atop croustini paired with baby greens and my second tapas was lightly seared tuna with an Asian slaw, fried wonton and avocados. So happy and sated… until tomorrow!!! Hey Jason… what’s for lunch???

I like to support the local businesses. I heard great things about this place and was thinking of bringing family here for dinner. I am certainly glad that I stopped there without the fam to try it out first! I would’ve been embarrassed! The portions are small and the prices are high!!! I didn’t try any«tapas» but from what a tapas typically is(small bite) the prices were astronomical! Was the food tasty? Yes. Did I leave hungry? Yes. You may want to re-think your pricing Latitude 41…

Lakeside Dining A Bit Unpolished Seasonal Menu Quality Proteins This unassuming lakeside restaurant has been slowly evolving as the revenues increase needed improvements to the building follow. The building itself has been unoccupied for many years, so I can imagine this was a difficult undertaking. The chef/owner has great vision and skill, time will tell as the renovations continue if they can get the atmosphere in line with the food pricing. The menu is well though out and the execution of the dishes were in line with the descriptions. Service was a bit clumsy but very nice, we sat in the bar/lounge area and enjoyed a good view of the lake. Our plan was to sit on the outdoor deck, it was not very large or appealing in its current configuration. Food service was spaced nicely allowing time to enjoy our appetizers, soups and salads before the entrees were presented. Well plated and cooked to the desired temperatures we enjoyed our meal here at Latitude 41. I just hope they concentrate on being a great restaurant rather then another bar with food on the lake. Keep moving forward Latitude 41
