Red Mango

I love this red mango! First off the best thing red mango could of did was add fresh cold press juice to the menu yum. And in my opinion they should never remove coconut Greek yogurt it’s so good. Red mango is super healthy and super yummy. This location is always clean and the toppings are always fresh. I have no complaints about this red mango except the employees can be a little more friendlier. Otherwise on a Tuesday night at 10:40pm it’s still packed in the store and we was able to be in and out. I’m trying a fresh juice next time and update this review :)

No air condition & no music. Ice cream was good, but could not sit and enjoy with the scorching heat indoors. Unlike the neighboring Red Mango chains.

My husband and I recently moved to a home within a few miles of this establishment and decided to go out for a froyo treat on a Friday night. I’ve been to many Red Mango locations, in various states and all over NY. This one is so bad it does not deserve to bear the Red Mango franchise name.
When we arrived, we were pretty surprised to see how empty it was. Like a ghost town, on a Friday night, when plenty of people are out and about. The second bad sign was that the mango flavor machine would only rumble but not dispense any frozen yogurt. It’s not a busy night, so why didn’t the employees refill the machine? We settled getting the same flavor even though we wanted to get one of each.
We added the toppings and went to pay. The blond girl had an awful attitude! No eye contact, doesn’t bother to say hello, and the price of the yogurt changed before our eyes when we were looking for the right change! I was looking for the two pennies to give her when the price changed without explanation, and when I asked her why, she did not respond, completely ignoring my question.
The last straw for us was when we tasted the frozen yogurt after we got home. The toppings are not fresh and we could tell. There were many ice chips in the fruit (I think inside the raspberries). My husband and I agreed that we will not be going back to this Red Mango location, especially since we have 3 other froyo stores within the same distance from our home.
We overheard one of the employees saying that the store owner had two Red Mango locations, one in Long Beach and this one in Hewlett, but the Long Beach one closed. I can tell the same fate awaits this location if customer service and product quality does not improve.

I don’t love Red Mango to begin with but this place is the worst. I was biting into pieces of ice because the strawberries were frozen. So much for fresh. At least defrost properly! The yogurt melted so fast, they must not make it the right way.
Fail.

After being at Swirlz yesterday I was desperate for more fro yo because it was so good. I didn’t enjoy my past experience at red mango but the Hewlett Station Yogurt Shop which is much better than this crap wasn’t open so I came here to give them one more chance since it’s been awhile since my original review.
Nothing’s changed I still don’t like it and this time I won’t go back even if I’m desperate for fro yo (Hewlett Station Yogurt please stay open during passover!)
I got the peanut butter fro yo and the nutty potion # 9. The nutty potion doesn’t taste good and the peanut butter barely has any peanut butter flavor. The toppings were the only thing that gave my yogurt any taste at all. I had peanut butter cups, peanut butter sauce and chocolate syrup. I think the chocolate syrup was supposed to be hot fudge but they didn’t have it warming up in anything.
I noticed another girl tasting some samples, mostly everything she tasted she threw out in the garbage immediately after saying «gross».
They play pop music fairly loud here and the place is decorated modern/​trendy. I feel like I was eating fro yo at a club. Guess if you want to pick up anyone while stuffing your face with fro yo apparently this is the place to go! Charm someone with some sort of topping in your teeth!
After two tries I’m serious this time, this place isn’t worth it!

This Red Mango is a bit out of the way, but it does in a pinch. I do notice that the toppings here do seem to get a bit melty/​messy a bit more quickly in this location than in others I’ve been to. Perhaps they haven’t been rotated enough? Not sure, but this has never been too big of an issue for me.
