A really good and beautiful Sushi restauran in Hewlett, where the Sushi is always fresh, and the prices are right.
The servers and the Sushi chef’s are both friendly and very efficient. There is a parking lot in the rear so thats not an issue.
Give it a try, I think you will like it.

I have been coming here for years and generally have not had any concerns with the food. The food is a little pricey for Asian food in Long Island, but you receive a generous portion. Recently they have decreased the size of the bowls that they give you the food in but they have increased their prices. During my recent visit after spending a substantial amount of money there and while listening to another customer complain about their customer service I asked for a wine to be blended. The manager told me that he would consider it a mix drink and charge me additional money. This is quite concerning given that it is not a mix drink or that they wanted to make extra money for pouring two wines. Get it together local eaterys like this live and die on customer service. Hopefully they will get a clue before they start to lose their biggest asset… their customers.

Club xaga is fire, everytime I post it on my snapchat everyone asks me where I get my sushi from. Yellow tail and tuna is always fresh like the host the suit

A staple in the community. Used to come here all the time on lunch breaks in high school and now I usually make a stop in whenever I’m home from college!

Xaga is the most amazing restaurant. Their food is extremely delicious, hot and fast. I have dined in and ordered in probably a thousand times. I have never had a bad meal here. The sushi is as fresh as it can possibly get. Their rock shrimp, spring rolls and calamari is out of this world. Everything on the menu is just AMAZING. Just ordered for a delivery… It came in 10 mins and everything was super hot and delicious.

I have come here many times. The food is okay. I would say their pad thai (veg/​shrimp) are standard. The upside is that they make it without eggs when requested. Their sushi is also pretty standard. I would give this place a 3.5. Just bc I have gone other places and it isn’t this expensive. I would say their lunch menu is the best for the price and quality of food. I would continue to come here but I wish the prices were a lower.

As I’ve had more dining experiences at Xaga, I thinking is a really good Japanese sushi restaurant in the area. A great place to go for a good Japanese experience!

Best sushi in Hewlett hands down! The Bento Box is delicious! Along with the freshly made rolls and sashimi. Great atmosphere and staff, definitely one of the top restaurants in town. Fast delivery and delicious food, you can’t go wrong!

Probably the best sushi place in all of the 5 towns (Cederhurst, Woodmere, Lawrence, Inwood, Hewlett). The food is always consistent and delicious. I suggest the tuna sushi pizza, Rocky Shrimp, king spicy roll, and the spicy girl roll. Staff is not the best but the food makes up for it. Usually tables are available but on weekends they are packed so take out might be a better option. Defiantly a 5 star place.

Take out regularly from here. have eaten in there a handful of times. try to avoid the hs crowd so i come after 1:30 during week. wait staff has been good most times. but the last time the waitress was gone once the food was dropped at table. no refill on tea either. and it was pretty quiet.

Why is this place so expensive? Two regular rolls 14 bucks?!? Whatever. I ordered sushi from here and the fish had a slightly off odor. Décor is beautiful. Very amazing incredible service, happy with the food choices on the menu. They charge for extra spicy mayo. Other then that, looks clean on the inside. Just wish the sushi chef paid more attention to making the rolls

Love this place. Go there all the time. Always friendly and great fresh food. I eat there once a week and their specials are always something to try. I recommend this place to everyone who likes sushi. Even the Chinese food dishes are delicious. When you bite into a piece of chicken you can tell it’s chicken.

This is the best sushi I have ever had, no stranger to food, fish, sushi and deliciousness.
Great place for great food and fun

It’s not my first time here but it’s my first time reviewing it and I was not to found of my the bartender. Food was pretty good but he’s attitude was a bit off. The bar was pretty much empty and he didn’t even acknowledge us until we ask for menus. After my first beer he didn’t ask if I wanted a second one or anything.

I’m in town for 5 days and have ordered from here 3 times during my stay as they are in close proximity to my families house. I have never been so insulted and disappointed by a restaurant before.
The first order was fine, but was I glad though that we were not dining in as they were blasting obnoxious pop hits in the bar There was no where to sit to wait for our food and we were not offered water for our long wait. The second night I learned to stay away from the shrimp tempura roll as there was nothing in it but rice and shrimp tempura. The Miso soup had a weird alcohol flavor to it.
Their house salad is just lettuce and dressing.
Tonight was the kicker though. I ordered my now usual salmon and masago sashimi. This has been consistently good. Fresh, not fishy, delightful. However I also ordered the chicken teriyaki for my daughter.
This was NOT chicken teriyaki, It simply was not. It was chicken and garlic sauce and they forgot my salad. I had my mother return and they tried to convince her by showing her another order that it was chicken teriyaki. This muddled clear garlic sauce with snap peas and broccoli could not pass for teriyaki to even a first time Japanese diner.
Then I was subtly accused of lying about missing my measly pathetic salad.
I do not know where all these stars come from but beware. They did not offer anything for the inconvience of having to return and threw out the returned dish in front of my mother, they simply could have sent her home with it as a minimal consolation for the poor service as a THIRD time customer in 3 days. They told her «well she didn’t pay for it.»
We had the pad thai instead. Well what was supposed to be pad thai. I will not be returning on my next visit, but I’m sure you guessed that by now.

Came here with a friend for lunch. Did not wind up going with the lunch special (2 rolls for $ 9, 3 rolls for $ 12– comes with miso soup and a salad). Instead, I ordered a volcano roll and a sweet potato roll, which amounted to being ~$ 20 with tax and tip.
Food was fresh, service was prompt. Ambiance is nothing special– tables are relatively close to one another to maximize seating capacity, but, as a result, you can hear other people’s conversations nearby.
Wish it was a little less pricey (the special rolls are not included in the lunch special).

Everything was very fresh even after it was delivered to our house and we had ti delay our dinner at home by an hour plus everything wad still fresh. Ask the roofs tasted good, the kani salad wasn’t drenched in mayo like most are and that was a pleasant change since I’m trying to eat healthy.
We ordered ask special rolls the prices could be cheaper but it’s quality sushi and good product do we didn’t care.
I think this will be our sushi spot from now on.

I am a sushi lover, but I recently lost all hope in enjoying sushi when I went from being a pescatarian, to a complete vegetarian. Today, the hubs and I decided to give this place a shot, as they appeared to have a very significant vegetarian section. We couldn’t have been happier! The service was outstanding – including the comfort and reliability they gave us in assuring us that our meals were «seafood» free (seafood allergy). I know it’s a bit ridiculous to ask at a sushi restaurant, but they didn’t for a second make it seem like an issue, and even went through the menu to explain which ingredients were cross-​contaminated. The allergy was even typed on the bill!
Aside from that, the vibe of the place was very relaxing; the waitresses were very friendly, and gave top notch service; and all of the food was delicious. It completely changed our worlds, and we’ll definitely be returning to enjoy some vegetarian sushi! Excellent excellent excellent!!!

We sampled four different sushi rolls, various sushi pieces, and two hot appetizers — the duck roll and the chicken lettuce cups.
All the sushi was very good and fresh tasting, the best of them being the salmon belly, which was melt-​in-​your-​mouth tender.
The chicken lettuce cups were not particularly interesting flavorwise, but were at least easy to eat — the lettuce was nice and firm, and the chicken was not too wet.
I thought the duck rolls — which were similar to egg rolls in style — were the best. These were served super hot, crispy, and had a great balance between the duck and the other ingredients in the filling.
All in all a good meal, but short of what I could rate as a four star.

First time here at Xaga tonight. Easy to miss, but really a gem in the area. The menu was pretty impressive so there’s easily plenty to choose from. The host promptly seated my group of three and the décor was better than I expected. I can’t speak on many of the drinks but we did order a Scorpion Bowl and the presentation was enough to make me come back. The food was prompt and delicious. Overall good experience.
My only con though:
The waitress completely disregarded one person’s drink order the first time around. She seemed to be rushing us and then even handed us the bill barely halfway through the meal. I get the business is closing soon for the night, but as a server (or even a business), ending on a good note is crucial with your guests. We didn’t plan on sticking around all night, but we wanted to at least enjoy the rest of our food without feeling like we have no option but to box up the rest or stuff it down our throats. Would have been 4 stars if not for that.
Also, the music didn’t seem to fit the atmosphere. Not a deal-​breaker… But it just threw me off a bit.
