Nice little spot to get a good meal. The setup is a usual diner in Hialeah, but the service is really great. They have a lot of specials posted inside the place so certain meals are better to get on those days to save a few bucks. Love the breakfast that I ordered(I am a breakfast kind of guy). Will come back when I am around the area.

It is a small place, nothing fancy and the plates of food brought to you are nothing to show-off in magazines. What it lacks in visual appeal it compensates in flavor. Nothing fancy on the inside neither. It’s dated and could use a spruce-up. Countless large signs displaying their daily specials abound on just about every possible space. We were only five diners total with one waitress and one cook. Despite not being busy, they did get rather overwhelmed while I was there. The waitress found herself taking phone orders, attending the window, attending the counter and two tables in the restaurant. After a while, even the cook was bringing out plates of food to the diners. I ordered the Chicken Steak topped with Onions, Moros and Tostones. Every plate of food I saw coming out of the kitchen was being made one at a time as ordered. For example, I went outside several times to get a clear view of the kitchen. The Tostones are fried and squashed per order. Not the pre-made frozen stuff you find at other places. Very nice garlic flavor on them too. The Moros, no black dye and were cooked perfectly. The chicken was seasoned and cooked just right. So why only two stars? As I always do, I ordered two entrees to eat right there. She was so overwhelmed that she forgot to put my second order in. After about thirty minutes of waiting, with still an empty plate of food in front of me, I decided to ask. I honestly didn’t know what was going on since the few diners that were there were bringing their finished plates to the counter themselves and trying to flag the waitress down so they can finally leave. I lost count on how many patrons choose to go to Hooters, within view and walking distance of this restaurant, instead of coming here. Now I know why. This is not somewhere you want to come to if you’re pressed for time. She was very apologetic and tried to compensate my distress as best as possible. She noted: «If you want Moros again you’re going to have to wait a bit longer.» Too little too late but, a good sign about the food at any restaurant you go to. You can taste it in their Moros alone. Something else to point out, lest I forget, no unnecessary amounts of salt. At least, in what I was able to try. Not only was I going to eat a second dish and want a Colada while there; but, I wanted to bring home Croquetas, Tamales and Empanadas to try at home. You know? Just to be sure. Will I come back here? Yeah, I’m going back tomorrow to try their Pork. Which, was supposed to be my second dish. Don’t judge me. I love to eat and should be a stunt double for the Killer Whale at Seaworld.

So it’s not the swankiest place in town but… Very nice people work here. Food is good and cheap.
