Carvel Ice Cream Bakeries

This carvel on 49 street is a piece of crap. The place is filthy. The chairs and tables are disgusting of filth, two old men working it and can’t serve correctly .
We threw out the ice cream and left.

Its hard to complain about Carvel. I love Carvel and its ice cream awesomness but i was very disappointed during my last trip in. My husband and I stopped in to pick up ice cream for the family.
(keep in mind i have been to this carvel like a gazzlion times)
I walked in and the shop was completely disgusting from the floors the counters behind the glass of the ice cream … disgusting. How are you supposed to purchase ice cream when its filthy. This place is seriously falling apart. The paint on the walls was all chipped. very unappealing. I understand its old, but some fresh paint, new lighting and cleaner services is all you need.
I am very sad to have to write this review as i am a fan of carvel, but I took my business to Dairy Queen nearby.

thanks first of all to Email Fairy (cause i do not remember who sent it to me) for the Email advising that today Sept 23, 2010 — was «Free Ice Cream at Carvel» they were promoting a new flavor «Swiss Mocha». it was a delicious chocalate ice cream with marshmellow swirls. back to store — we walked right in, requested our «Free Ice Cream» and gentleman (Nestor i believe is his name) so kindly reached down into his freezer and handed us the nice cold treat!!! He keeps this store very nice and clean. His customer service was amazing!!! he actually looked happy being there!!! but ok, gosh surrounded by ICE CREAM! i would be happy too!!!

Carvel is Carvel, no matter where it is. On the rare occassion that I drive in Hialeah, I HAVE to stop by here and get my fill of the mint chocolate chip ice cream. Guily pleasure it is.
This location is in a small strip, with limited parking although I honestly haven’t had an issue finding a spot when I’ve gone there.
