Never thought of having new eyeglasses but my old one just got broken. Its accidentally stepped by my brother, instead of yelling at him. I just picked-up the broken pieces of my flasses and tried to fix it. Yelling won’t fix my glasses so its better to just let him be. Remembered that For Eyes Optical deals the best eyeglasses in my town so I walked-in their place and had a eye test. The process was smooth, we didn’t had any problems while at it but the result got delayed because of the unprofessional customers. Well, I got my eyeglasses after a few hours but I waited that long which is really bad.

This optical is terrible. I have insurance that covered 95% of my fees at this place so I can not speak much to price but their service is horrible. The doctor was dry, dry, dry. No bedside manner whatsoever. His face the whole time basically reflected that he’d rather be out getting shot in the head than being there working. The test itself was standard. I was able to get tested for both contacts and standard frames. Because my vision had not changed and I had plenty of contacts left over from my last exam, I was ordering frames this time around. The selection was mediocre. Lots of the same style over and over again. Although I was able to find frames that I really liked. I am not sure if it was that I really loved them or just that fact that based upon the selection, they were the best I found. This is very the whole situation gets super frustrating and just exhausting to be honest. My appt was on a Saturday. I was on time but had to wait almost 40 minutes to see the doctor. It was busy… I get it. After making my frame selection I sat down with one sales person(we’ll call her Ms. A), who entered all of my information and then lost it. So another sales person(we’ll call her Ms. B) comes to assist and has to ask and enter all of my information all over again. Ms. B commences to tell ask me what I want for my lenses letting me know that my insurance probably won’t cover thing frames, or transition lenses, or scratch protection, blah blah blah, before even looking at my insurance. I am lucky enough to have insurance that covers all of these options. She proceeds to comment on how awesome my insurance is(which I found to be very unprofessional because there were other customers around), and proceeds to make decisions for me, without asking, in regards to my lenses. Whether or not I was the thin lens, what color transition I want, if the scratch guard was necessary. I literally had to stop her and tell her that I would like to be the one making the decisions since I was the one to be wearing the lenses. Once the Ms. B was done and went back to place or file my order, Ms. A proceeded to ask me if my company was hiring. Because they had cut her hours there and she needed to find a new job. I must have a good one because my insurance is so great. WHATTHE F!!! How incredibly awkward is that??? You wait for, whom I assume is your boss, to walk away, to ask a CUSTOMER, if there is an opening at their job!!! And then have the nerve to ask the customer to keep it between you two? Like we have been lifelong friends or something??? WHATTHEHECK!!! After that whole fiasco was done they told me my glasses would take a week to be ready and that they would be done the following Friday(the 19th) and that someone would call me when they were done. What happens next is what prompted me to write this review. I called the following Thursday to see if the glasses perhaps would be ready early, they were not. Not a big deal, they did say Friday. I called Friday… nope my glasses aren’t there, maybe tomorrow. I called Saturday… Nope, not here. Perhaps Monday… I am irritated at this point but ok, fine. I happen to not work on Monday so I should be able to pick them up. Called Monday… weird, my glasses are STILL not ready. And might i add that each time I called they made it a point to condescendingly let me know that THEY would call ME when the glasses were ready. Now I am upset. I work 10 hour days and can’t just drop everything to pick up glasses that should have been ready 5 days ago! I am just going to stop calling and stop being a pain and just let them call me. Tuesday… no call… Wednesday… no call… Thursday… no call. Finally I call Friday because COMEONALREADY!!! I called and to make this long convoluted and ridiculous story short. After being on the phone for 10 minutes, giving my information 5 times. the lady on the phone says that«Yes, you glasses are here, we called you on the 19th and left you a voice mail saying they were ready.» Wait a minute… WHAT??? The 19th!!! That was last friday. Even if them leaving me a message had been true and I just didn’t get it. Why wouldn’t they tell me my glasses were there when I called on FRIDAY, SATURDAY, ANDMONDAY!!! I just said ok, fine… I will pick up tomorrow, thank you and hung up. I knew that if I unleashed 2 weeks worth of frustrating on this poor girl it would not be pretty. So in conclusion, DONOTGOTOFOREYESINHIALEAH. THEIRCUSTOMERSERVICEISTERRIBLE. as far as price goes for eyes are unbeatable. I did not find the specials to be that great. In other words you get what you pay for. The selection is good but only for the regular price frames. I had a vission test done and it was standard but at a mere 40.00. Much less then what I expected to pay.
