I am appalled at my waitress. Not only was she rude but she was ignorant. I was eating my meal with my room mate and all of a sudden we hear her say«Some people just can’t learn to speak English» with her HEAVY Chinese accent. The irony right? And this was towards this Hispanic couple a table next to me. I have never felt so angry at a waitress. Then she has the audacity to approach me and my roommate saying«you feel me right?» And we’re like«no, it’s Miami, it’s diverse and what you said was rude». She left us to eat. If I see this Asian lady again when I visit, I will talk to the manger and make a complaint. If the manager is reading this, it was a 5’2 or shorter lady with black framed glasses. She was waitressing the tables in the back to the left working on January 14th2015 at 4PM. I can’t believe someone talked shit to her coworkers in Chinese about their customers. She thought I didn’t know Chinese. Shame on her.

I love Chinese food. But this was just OK. The ribs were tasty buy very tough. The rice was good. The low mein had good taste. I didn’t really like the teriyaki chicken. My friend had the sushi and she said it was pretty good. There aren’t many good desserts. The bathrooms were not well kept. I also had an issue with cleanliness, as my son’s cup had a large piece of food in it. I approached the server and he didn’t say anything but he did complain when I didn’t give a tip.

Ok let me be clear its not the best place to go if your aiming for taste but for the price point i can’t complain. Cmon at $ 7 for eat all you can lunch! Can’t beat that. Again if you’re picky this place ain’t for you but if your going more for quantity over quality that’s cheap this is your place. :-)

Recently ate here and I was disgusted with the sanitation. Very dirty and unclean practices. One of the attendants changed a rice pan and to not waste the bit left in the remaining pan pushed it out with his own hands. The food is awful and greasy. It’s cheap to eat here but come on, the food has to be at least tolerable. I see someone else’s review states that their glad the place embraces their in a Latin community and they also serve plantains and papa rellena in the buffet, basically the easiest, greasiest things they can add to a menu and make it look good. It’s unfortunate that here in Miami Pretty much all Chinese buffets are half Asian half Hispanic. If I wanted that I would go to a Latin restaurant. It’s already Latin food everywhere I turn, I don’t need more when I go into what’s meant to be an Asian buffet. While checking the other reviews I agree that the place needs to be checked by the state for sanitation. And the service sucked. We got our drinks after a few minutes and never got a refill again. The place was empty when we went! At the end when I signed the receipt and didn’t leave a tip the waitress slid the receipt back to me and started stabbing her finger at the tip line like I owed her something. Yeah right. DONOTEATHERE!

Good prices weekdays, good variety of food. Needs more lighting and a face lift, other than that it’s a must try.

Copy of the email sent to the health department in tallahassee I am writing to you to leave a complaint, a situation in the place called«Happy Buffet» 1533 west 49th st, Hialeah, fl, 33012. On Saturday 22 I started to eat at this restaurant with my girlfriend and her daughter, a child under 10 years of age, while we ate, I noticed that the glass of soda girl the straw white, had«something stuck», looking more closely I saw a black slime along, I had a viscous, sticky consistency,(my experience working kitchen allows me to distinguish which is a type of fungus from the machine soda that was not cleaned for a long time or ice machine) to keep looking I also found spots black on the ice which would have to be clear almost transparent, talk to the employee, who offered me talk to the manager, while waiting and taking photos, a waiter claim me, I could not take pictures and had to go … to get the manager asked only apologize, charging me and asked me to remove my site. That day we were all gastrointestinal problems, from stomach pains even vomiting., Delay in sending me this email did not know where to turn. Thanks for your time I am available for whatever you need, attached photos.

This is the most disgusting place ever. I will never ever go back to this buffet. I was there yesterday with my husband. We went to go grab our food and noticed that everything looked not so appealing but we gave it a chance anyway. my husband’s rice was mushy and all the food was cold. I like chicken teriyaki and I had grabbed one from the buffet when I bit into it it was completely and utterly raw. I stopped eating and called my server and asked to speak to the manager so that we can leave. At least they weren’t rude when I showed them. they let us go and we obviously didn’t pay for the check. Please save your money and go elsewhere this place is just gross.

Always a nice spot to visit in Hialeah. Very extensive selection, and the fact that they don’t deny they are in a latin community and add some latin flavor in their chinese buffet is huge! Even though the server’s job is not complicated there since people get their own food they still have plenty to go around and refill drinks and keep tables clean which shows the management care about their guests. The only thing that could make this place just a tad better is if they had a few custimizable item’s where there could be a cook to toss up some special custimizable fried rice for example. Will definately be back!

Not sure if all the other reviewers were at the same place. But I had a pretty bad experience here. Unfortunately, it was my bright idea to choose a Chinese buffet for family dinner. I was hungry at the time and decided, what better place to get your meal for your buck than at a buffet? It was only when I sat down to eat that I realized«what was I thinking?» The first beautiful sight upon walking in was a homeless man asking for money. Now, I’m not an overtly mean person, but what on Earth is a homeless man doing asking for spare change in front of a Chinese buffet in the middle of 49th street? I just want to eat my food and not feel guilty, sir, please, don’t do this to me. The place was pretty busy but I’m not exactly sure why. Our«waitress»(kind of mean and didn’t smile once) pointed at a dirty table(which was clambered right next to another occupied dirty table). Before I could even sit down and realize what a mistake I made in coming in here she was already asking my my drink order. That was strike 1. The only positive thing was their huge array of food. They had a lot of options and I give props to the overworked cooks that have to keep up with the mob of hungry customers. However, I’m assuming because there were a mob of hungry customers, flavor and sanitation was thrown out the window. My chicken was soggy(is that even possible?) and the rice was beyond hard. I took a chance on the sushi and was unsurprised by the chewy lump of crab that was probably fished out of a can. Back at my communal table, I was graced with the good fortune in sitting directly behind a fussy toddler. And by «directly behind» I mean, our pull out chairs were practically glued to each other. I had to slide across my brother’ lap to get into my side of the table. Now, if anyone is still reading this morbidly long review, then I salute you, and ask if you’re brave enough to go here… Don’t. Our party consisted of myself, my parents, and my brother. Guess how much our check was? 50 $ not including tip. FIFTYDOLLARS. And for what?! Three lumps of canned chicken and a spoon of rice. Oh my God. If there was an award for worst Buffet’s ever, this one would take the Oscar.

I was with some people who wanted to go to a Chinese buffet. I refused to go to the one they initially mentioned because I got sick from their food a few years ago, but I relented when they asked about another that I had never been to. It wasn’t just sub-par: I had a hard time finding /anything/I could bring myself to eat more than a bite of. There was hair fried into my yucca(at least the grease sanitized it). The only thing I enjoyed was dessert, and that was more symbolic a joy than anything else: It’s almost over. I can leave this place. Do yourself a favor and go to a real Chinese restaurant. You don’t need 18 plates of recycled grease and mystery meat.

I do not know what these reviewers ate but when I came in for a visit, on my birthday too… I was expecting great food but instead all I saw was nasty dried up food, as though it was left there since lunch time. The waitresses were not attentive, we left our plates there while getting new food, they didn’t even bother to take the old plates away. 1) White rice was dried, either it was left there since lunch time or they do not know how to cook rice. 2) Sushi rolls, good god… nothing look appealing at all, the rice for the sushi looked so wet as though it’s sticky rice. 3) Spring rolls were soggy as $hit 4) The fruits they had up there for desserts were nasty looking, the mangoes were all brown, the watermelon were smushy looking. 5) Fried rice and lo mein noodles look blah… dried dried dried! Friggen waitresses were just standing there chit chatting, attentive my ass. We got charged $ 19ish tax included for two adults and I don’t think it’s even worth it, I should have gone else where, this place is so ghetto! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!

This place is great. Awesome buy for your money. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is good quality. Best $ 7.70 I’ve spent at a chinese buffet. The only thing I dislike is that kids were allowed to serve themselves. That is a no no at any buffet for me. The place gets pretty packed on sunday afternoons.

Not terrible. The pizza brought back good memories of the kind served in the cafeteria in high school. Some obviously questionable items such as the ham filled«sushi» I completely avoided, but the egg rolls, chicken, noodles etc were good.

I’ve learned of this buffet by passing it by casually and not evening knowing it was a buffet. The food is good and service is good, though if you expect more in Chinese food this would not be your cup of tea. They will be a great choice in buffet style food so if you want fast food then you should go there.

Clean, quick attendance, great prices for the value in food! They served tilapia, 4 different types of chicken, 3 different types of rice, fried fish, 6 different sushi rolls, seafood(imitation crab, shrimp, oysters), noodles, pizza, bread, fruit, pudding, several types of cakes, crab cake, salads of different kinds from garden to potato, 3 different kinds of soup, nuts, ice-cream, plantains, vegetables, diff kinds of meat… you get my point! There’s something for various preferences! It’s a good stop if you’re on a budget and not expecting anything over the top.
