I am in disbelief that anyone actually rated this restaurant with five stars so I felt a more accurate rating and review was called for. If you are a fan of seafood taken from the deep freeze and then greasy fried to oblivian this place is for you. I saw the commercial for the Cod Sandwich and it looked pretty good so I went out of my way to drive to this restaurant. I have been to this location before and there is rarely any customers; those that do patronize the restaurant drive from Liberty City as no local would eat Long John Silvers because there is no rice and beans on the menu which is a requirement in Hialeah. That being said the employees move like they are on quaaludes. When my food was finally ready I got a dried out piece of fish that tasted like crap on a cold stale bun; they cannot be bothered to toast the buns. One star for the decent fries and the fact that malt vinegar is available. The food was piss poor. I would never return. All of this goodness for $ 7.48 and for that much I could have gone elsewhere and had something decent to eat.

It’s ok. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The lobby by the bathrooms on the other hand smells like bug spray.

You often can’t expect much from Long John Silvers. This chain has had an image problem the last few years but the franchisees really seem passionate about making their food better, and continuing their tradition of really being the only major fast food seafood chain in America. This restaurant is in a tired part of Hialeah. I was desperate for food and after not seeing many of these popped up in here for lunch. The building is certainly older but still has its cape cod style charm and the inside certainly is a bit dated as well having probably not been remodeled since the 90s. But I will say the floor and tables and concessions area were SPOTLESS. You could eat off the floor. The bathrooms were also clean. I was prepared because of the area I was in to try and order in spanish to the lady at the register(which does happen a lot in Miami, even though I am from here and don’t speak spanish really.) but she was happy to speak with me in english. She also offered to bring my food to the table so I didnt have to wait at the counter. The food was perfect temperature and delicious as always! The hushpuppies of course were a delight! If you get good service like I did, ring the bell by the door… a long standing LJS tradition.

Been coming here to this location since the early 80’s(showing my age lmao). What is there to say about Long John Silvers you have to have a taste for it. Not a fan of fried food, but you learned to love it if you like commercialized fish, chicken, and shrimps. I haven’t been here in a while, but I’ve seen that the prices have extremely risen. A meal with no drink is like $ 8. It’s place you visit on a rare occasion.
