The original sandwich is the best. Very tasty with just the right amount of everything.

The Sarussi Original is easily the single most spoken about sandwich in Miami. Blame it on the secret sauce but whatever you blame there is no denying people’s love and loyalty. When I was in Hialeah Ramon C suggested I try a Sarussi and some plans are to genius to turn down. George M accompanied me on my maiden voyage into secret sausey lands. We entered, made a comment or two to the staff, and sat down. A few minutes later the waitress has taken our order. When the food arrives I’m shocked to learn another not so secret Sarussi strategy as each Sarussi is painted with butter. Yep this sandwich just became way messier. In the end the sandwich is pretty good, the service alright. This particular location is A-Ok with me and moving forward a few more Sarussis and will have to enter my life in order to be totally sure about that sauce.

A block down from FIU, this small cuban place has the worst Cuban food I have had in a while! I ordered a Pan con Bistec and it came as ground beef??! I ordered chicken tenders as well, and the ones at Burger King are even more tasty. The fresh orange juice was delicious, as they couldnt go wrong preparing that. A shame to find such a disaster of a Cuban diner in Hialeah!

Extremely large, sandwiches for relatively cheap. Chicken, ground beef, steak, flank steak, ham, pulled pork – you name it. Toasted bread and all that. Put some Crystal hot sauce and it’s good to go. I like going to the one in downtown Hialeah by the Miami Springs entrance but any location around where you live will do really. Flirt a little bit with the waitresses and they will treat you like a regular.
