My parents live nearby and we were hungry so we opted to eat here one night. The Hialeah Cuban clientele is rather strange, they just stare at you. Literally stare. I’m Cuban American and I don’t stare at people… I guess it comes down to how you were raised. Most people in Hialeah have zero class. Anyway, besides the weirdos staring for no reason the customer service sucks. The girl that does the shakes and juices has a bit of an attitude(typical of dade county) and the food is kinda gross. I ordered the fries they had and they were cold, stale and nasty. The Congri was greasy as hell, the steak was tough and gross(probably get their meat from an illegal slaughterhouse) I couldn’t finish what I ordered. Never stopping here again. If you want similar food, go to palacios de Los jugos.

frita cubana is out of control, as well as masas de puerco Asadas. The portion are so big that the containers don’t even close. This is a hidden gem that will do very well for years to come

They charge you for the PAPERPLATE and PLASTICFORK needed to eat for the food you just paid for if sharing a meal. Son unos muerto hambre!

Came here because I had an early meeting at a near by establishment. I was looking for a place to grab a cup of coffee, I should have stopped at a McDonalds. I decided against McDonald’s or Dunkin’ Doughnuts because I thought the lines would be long. I don’t think right in the mornings. This is Hialeah no one drinks American coffee so there wouldn’t have been any lines — whatever— I Unilocaled this place and I arrive at 7:15AM, this place was completely empty(good I thought). I order a café con Leche and the lady makes it in, no lie, 10 seconds. When I look at it the cup was sooo small. It was the smallest café con Leche I have ever seen! Like seriously? She didn’t ask me if I wanted a small or a larger size so I am assuming that is their size for café con Leche. Very disappointing.

A New Twist on Food Service Don’t let their flavorful food dull your senses or rational thinking. What’s the TWIST you may ask? Soriano Brothers will take a tri-sectioned styrofoam serving container and gouge the consumer by «flipping» how the food is placed. I decided to buy today after my wife had purchased their food so many times before. The place is certainly clean, food is well presented and tasty; BUTBEAWAREOFTHEIRSALESMODEL. After ordering the Cuban staple of pork, congri rice and yucca; the congri rice was served as the main dish rather than the pork. BUYERSBEWARE — A pile of rice was served in the large space of the container reserved for the main dish. On the two remaining smaller spaces reserved for sides, they placed pork and a greater amount of yucca. The purchase price was $ 13.89 with tax. I want to be clear. I do not want a pile of pork that would make a glutton envious, but I do want a portion that’s larger than what they originally served me, with a normal amount of rice and smaller amount of yucca. BTW Palacio de Los Jugos uses the same model so I stopped purchasing there quite a while ago. Next time you visit any of the two establishments, flip your order. Ask for white rice as the main dish with plantains and just a little bit of «picadillo». Happy Eating

Freaking LOVE this little hole in the wall for awesome Cuban food — unlike most of the little cafeterias, who have their daily specials, they serve everything here all the time!

As if Hialeah really needed another Palacio de los jugus knockoff. The major problem with this place is it’s location. It is the middle of an area that no one really goes to. This explains to why in the morning the place has moderate traffic and once it hits 6PM it turns into a ghost town. It is far from any major roads and for what the place offers it is not worth the trip if you don’t live really close to it. On the other hand the food is on par with what other cuban markets offer and they have a good breakfast they sell at all times for $ 3.99. They offer many cuban delights from cuban sandwhiches, cuban friend rice, lechon, tostadas, croquetas, and guarapo. If you live close it’s something you’d like to check out. If you don’t anyway you are coming into Hialeah you’ll find something like this before getting here. Also if you are coming here and don’t know spanish, bring a translator.

Didn’t even bother buying the food. Prices were outrageous. It’s a Monday night at 7PM and there was only one car in the parking lot. Either the prices are way too high or the food sucks but either way they’re not getting any business.
