The service at this Vicky bakery location was very quick, which was impressive since the location in East Hialeah is always slammed. However, once I tasted the food I quickly learned why. The croquetas were cold inside, it was clear that they were definitely not fresh and had been sitting there for hours. The pastelitos were all stale, literally all of them. The meat inside the pastel de carne was just terrible. The seasoning that was used for the meat was weird tasting to say the least. We also ordered two café can leches, which were good, but extremely over priced. I ordered a medium, was charged like $ 4 each and they were 8oz each. If a medium is 8oz I was wondering how small a small is. I am a loyal customer of Vicky Bakery, but his location does not do it justice. I will definitely not be back and go to the Miami Lakes location or East Hialeah. Very disappointed.

Our order was placed days in advance. They asked us at what time we’d like to pick it up, we said 1pm. My mom got there almost at 3 and not only were the trays of pastelitos not even made yet and she had to stand there and wait, but the cake looked unfinished and the writing looked sloppy. At home I had to add colorful sprinkles to it to give it some kind of cheer. It was plain and basic, no flowers or effort whatsoever. Although their prices are very fair and the food tastes great, the experience as a whole was dissapointing and we will probably be going back to the vicky bakery by our old house.

Horrible experience went there today… employees with attitude… croquetas were cold and they have the nerve to tell me they are frozen and when they fry them they stay cold inside unless I tell them to microwave them… if I wanted frozen croquetas I would have bought the box at the store… aren’t you a bakery… never going here again

Wow! Wow! From a gringo! Had the Cuban coffee and it was the best. The pastries were awesome. This place has been around for a long time for a reason. It’s just that good.

Came here to get some pastelitos de carne and una colada. The pastelitos de carne were not that great. I did not like the taste. I’m not sure if its the seasoning that they use to cook the meat, but I couldn’t eat them. The colada was good. The service was good. Everyone there was nice. I also noticed that they didn’t have any empanadas. They only had pastelitos. I hope that it’s because I went in the afternoon and they ran out. I’m not giving up on this place! I will be back to try some of their other stuff.

I’ve been coming here since I was 3. Food is great, location is in central plaza by 49th st. I did give it a 3 star because although prices have gone way up, SOME of the new workers give you a stank face for not always tipping. You just got two over priced croquettes for me and you’re going to get serious and give me the face for giving you exact change, It only took two seconds of your time. It makes me feel like not going anymore and you’ll just lose business. I tip when you make coffee, I make a really big order, or when I go to a restaurant but I don’t like to be tip shamed.
