I came here for lunch with a girlfriend. We got there right when they opened. I ordered the pad thai, which was totally flavorless and did not taste fresh. Our server, on top of waiting tables was also washing windows and reeked of cigarettes

I stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Hiawassee 1 night about every 3 to 4 weeks. I had been driving close to 200 miles yesterday and after calling on customers I was tired. I called This restaurant and ask if they delivered as I didn’t feel like going out to eat. They told me they did so I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Chicken with egg rolls and soup as a side. A beautiful you lady knocked on my door in about 35 min with my food. It was delicious and the serving size was unbelievable. I ate until I could take it any longer, the lady at the front desk at and we still had food left over. The food was fantastic and I will be calling delivery from there in three weeks. Best I’ve had and I eat out a bunch!

Really nice staff. My husband and I went inside to order take out and the guy we ordered from was super welcoming and nice. My fried rice and sesame chicken wasn’t bad. I like that it wasn’t loaded with tons of salt. My husband’s panang curry was good and spicy. My only disappointment was the pad Thai :/it was mediocre at best.

This family owned and operated restaurant just outside Hiawassee is the greatest. The menu is incredibly diverse and the preparation and service are excellent. Their sushi is always fresh and the rest of the food and just as good l. If you are ever in Hiawassee bring your brother and your family for a great meal!!!

My husband and I went back here the other night. He had the Spyderman sushi roll and I had the crazy sushi roll. Both were nothing short of excellent. I highly recommend the sushi, but the service was awful and the restaurant was so dark. The guy who I believe is the owner/management seems like a heck of a nice guy, but the rest of the staff hardly know English and act like they don’t want you there. For a while my husband and I were the only ones there and it was awkwardly silent. We were a bit relieved when other people finally came in. Our waitress was rude and sat at a booth the whole night playing on her phone. Normally something like that wouldn’t really bother me, but when you have a bad attitude it does.

I believe this is the worst meal I have ever had. It has prompted me to write my first ever Unilocal review sadly. Pad Thai did not even resemble the real thing, could not eat it. Coconut soup was literally a can of coconut milk dumped in a bowl with some veggies. It was so bad, my dad and I couldn’t eat it and left most of it on our plates. We will not be returning. Friendly staff. Zero stars.

The food was delicious! Everyone was so friendly. We used them for catering and it was amazing. Everyone raved about the spare ribs! Plus, the steak egg rolls were delicious! Don’t forget to try the shrimp sauce! They totally came through for us, it was ready on time and piping hot, Koo really went the extra mile!

Ordered a beer, sake an appetizer and some sushi for dinner. Service was good. Beer, sake and appetizer were good as well. Then comes the main course, not sure I would call it sushi. The fish had no color, tasted a piece of the fish and spit it out. The one sushi roll that was fried was soggy, not crisp, from some sauce they put on it. The sauce was either improperly made or old. Ask the waitress to see the manager for an adjustment of the bill for the sushi, she came back with the full bill but no manager. Paid the full bill and I talked to the manager. He basically stated if you don’t like the food then eat somewhere else. That will bless you.

Recently moved to the area and was told by others this place was pretty good. And the first couple times it was. Too bad it all went down hill fast! Last time I had the General Tso’s chicken and it was awful! It was dry, chewy, definitely NOT crispy and upon more thought it actually seemed to have been cooked the day before. Too bad I can’t give zero stars. To those who claimed this place was worth it –did the good cook quit or what? Service wasn’t anything to rave about but since the management allows such lousy food to be served I guess they don’t care if the service matters much either. I seriously doubt I’ll ever return –at least not until Chef Ramsey shows up and straightens this place out-it really, really needs it!

I had been in the US for 2 weeks on vacation after coming from Ireland. While spending a weekend at enota mtn retreat myself and my wife fancied some Thai food as this type of food is very popular back home in Ireland. We discovered the nearest Thai restaurant was at Hiawassee which wasn’t too long of a drive from where we where staying. After driving to Asiano we were greeted by this arrogant and rude individual who I assume is the owner and proprietor. I asked for the satay chicken and was told they were all out. I then proceeded to ask for a mild Thai red curry. He rudely told me that it’s the nature of Thai red curry to be hot and could not adjust the spice level. Absolute rubbish. I am a chef and the varying levels of spice is dependent on the amount of curry paste to coconut milk ratio. What he really meant was it’s pre-made and we can’t change it. I eventually settled for crispy duck. Unlike traditional crispy duck which is scalded in hot water and cooked to render to fat from the skin it was dredged in corn-starch and incinerated. Absolute awful and pretentious Asian food. It still gives me shivers thinking about it. Just as well it is up in the mountains away from most people. All I can say is please get Dairy Queen in Hiawassee or just get some frozen Asian food at Walmart which is less expensive and more authentic

When I first walked in the entire restaurant was dead silent and staring at me and my party. I don’t know why, we’re ordinary people. It was very odd. And although the staff was friendly, they seemed to have more important things rather than tending to us. We dined in the Hibachi room. However, I ordered sushi and cream cheese rangoons. They were both pretty terrible. My roll was sloppily put together and they hardly gave me any fish in it. The rangoons were hardly fried and luke warm. The Hibachi was just average according to my friends. Everything is overpriced as well. Definitely not happy with this trip and we will not be returning. :(

I love this place! The owners are so sweet and friendly and always greet every customer. The hibachi grill is wonderful! I love the hibachi shrimp and the fried rice. I’ve read a lot of the reviews that other people have posted and its hard to believe that they ate at the same restaurant because I’ve never had bad food there. Yes, I’ve had a bad server there before too(Nani is unpleasant and sometimes offensive) but most of the servers know me by name and are very nice to me and my family. All restaurants have good days and bad days but I leave with a smile every time I come here. There is NO better Asian food within a 100 mile radius. I wish the owners of Asiano would open up one closer to my home so I wouldn’t have to drive so far. If there was one closer I’d eat there every week.

Been once before on a recommendation and was very unimpressed. Decided to give it one more try; big mistake. We were treated by our server and greeter like we were a nuisance. Service was very slow, and it was a small crowd. The rice was bone dry and the entrées were beyond bad. They were downright gross. Asiano’s never again

After skipping lunch to put down carpet my husband and I were starved. I love Chinese food so my husband took me to Aisanos. The staff was friendly. And the restaurant was very clean. Our meals came very quickly. It was ok. Not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had but not the worse either. The menu is way too long. I felt like I was reading a book. It was overwhelming!

Asia-NO! Just don’t go here, it has a crusty atmosphere, staff don’t seem to want you there, and the food was dry. I thought that based on the decent modern styled building, the look of the website, and the fact that it has a decent logo that this place would be pretty decent. NOPE! you walk in to this very dark dining room and are meet by a nice hostess/front counter person but after that everything was lame. There’s a crusty 55gallon fish tank with turtles swimming in it and I’m pretty sure its torture for them as they had no place to get out of the water and they had definetly overgrown the tank. Yeah I’m sure they changed out that water every week to take care of those poor turtles. Remember Asia-NO! I had my little guy with us and asked for a high chair to a staff person and she just kinda looked at me like i was an idiot and kept walking away. She never once even showed me where they were located. I had to find it tucked behind in their ‘japanese’ dining area room. Remember Asia-NO! I thought that they would have a sushi buffet as their sign and menu states but all I saw was a mongolian grill thing tucked in the corner that I didn’t trust with all the raw meat in there. Yeah I know it’s supposed to have raw meat, but from the looks of it I wasn’t going to trust my health with their obvious lack of sanitary levels. The cook was sitting next to the grill playing on his iphone while a customers order cooked. Not the best way to show good hygiene or kitchen cleanliness. Honestly who cleans their phone? So yeah he’s not even watching the food and just keeps playing with his phone — gross, unprofessional, and simply lazy. I’ve been to hole in the wall restaurants that put on a show with this feature, but not here. Remember Asia-NO! So we ordered from the most confusing menu on the planet that had chinese, thai, and japanese stuff but some categories were listed twice on different pages??? really?! I can’t stand bad graphic design. The food came and it was dry and really I only ate it because I was hungry. I added way to much soy to make it palatable and just took it on the chin. Good thing I didn’t take the wife here for our anniversary like I had planned. This place simply sucks! Remember Asia-NOOOOO!!!

Asiano’s was a pleasant find for us when we moved to Hiawassee. It is a great little Asian restaurant with some pretty good food. The hibachi grill is very good. I’ve tried the lobster and steak, my wife had the chicken and steak. We both really enjoyed the meal. The only thing I have tried that I wasn’t overly impressed with was the sushi. Not that it’s bad in any way, there is just something about it. I think it’s the fact that they use plain white rice rather than sticky sushi rice. Somehow this affects the flavor for me. The staff is very friendly and always right on top of things for us. We have been to this restaurant several times and will continue to go.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, but I have to do this. The food was wretched and the service was subpar. After our GPS took us to a non-existant Italian restaurant and our next two choices were already closed, we settled for Asiano, the next place we saw open at 8:30 on a Sunday night. We had been driving all day to get to a conference at the Brasstown Resort and were really hungry and tired. We walked in this place and I immediately wanted to walk back out, which is rare for me. But the Japanese hibachi grill was smoking up the whole place with really gross smoke. I’ve been in Japanese places before(we love sushi and most places have both the grill and the bar) and I know what the smoke SHOULD smell like; this was like, a dirty grill that wasn’t ventilated properly. Like I said, I wanted to leave, but my husband wanted to give it a chance. We sat down, and it took a few minutes before we were acknowledged, given menus and had our drink orders taken. Now, that wouldn’t be a problem if the place was busy. But there was one other couple in there besides the group at the hibachi table. The waitress was leisurely chatting with them and did not pay attention to us. Another waitress came out of the back out of a while and tended to us while the first waitress chatted on obliviously. Even though we love sushi, I had a bad feeling about ordering raw fish in the Georgia mountains, especially in a place this dubious. So we stuck to the Thai menu. They have a huge menu, which from watching episodes of Kitchen Nightmares is always a no-no. It’s just impossible to keep that much stock and manage that many different dishes — it’s too hard on the cooks. Anyway, I ordered shrimp Pad Thai and my husband ordered shrimp Green Curry. I was served something more similar to the Japanese dish of Chow Mei Fun, or rice noodles with soysauce and and egg pancake with mixed Chinese vegetables. It was nothing like any Pad Thai I’d ever had. Still, I was very hungry and I ate it anyway. It was tolerable. The shrimp on it, however, was not. It was overcooked and tasted like it was on the edge of turning. My husband’s Green Curry was watery. It was like they opened a can of coconut milk, whisked some green curry paste into it, and dumped a can of Chinese vegetables in that and served it. Oh, and added some of the same wretched shrimp that I got. We were so tired and hungry that we just ate what we could, paid and left. We didn’t feel like dealing with it. Oh, and my husband tried to order a glass of wine when we got there. We were told, «No, not on Sunday. But you can order beer.» ??? We are from southeast Georgia which presumably has the same laws. You cannot order just drinks on Sunday, but you can order drinks with a meal. I have never heard of being able to order beer but not wine. Again, my husband was just so tired that he didn’t argue, just had water instead. Bottom line — this place is no good. Read between the lines: this place is Asia NO.
