I would highly recommend this food truck. The service was great, and the wait time was short(less than 5 mins). I ordered the chicken tenders with green beans. The chicken was crispy and tender, and the green beans were on point! It would be great if they served cornbread(hint hint).

Lesson 1, never grocery shop on an empty stomach, much less park next to a food truck so that after you shop you get hit with the smell of fry oil. I was starving and the smell of fried goodness was so good that I had to investigate. Next to the food truck, aside from my damn car, was a small 10′ pop up tent that housed their kitchen. Chicken is chilled in a cooler, batter is in a tub on a table, potatoes on another table with a machine that shreds them I guess, and two medium propane fryers. Gotta do what you gotta do I guess. I just don’t trust the cooler system to regulate the temp of raw poultry, especially given the numerous times they have to open and close it. Think about the drink cooler at parties and how long the ice takes to turn into cold water. The people who just got their were raving about it so I gave it a try. Bought the Tater tray and large Chicken Tender plate w two sides for just over $ 17. That’s what the ladies who were leaving told me to get. Tater tray was pretty darn good. Think loaded baked potato, but much lighter. My gripe is that for $ 7 they can throw in some more bacon or even fry it themselves, because the bag bacon didn’t do it for me. Chips were light and crispy and worked well with the dish. Cheese and ranch were standard. I’d go back for this, but not out of my way. Chicken Tenders are freshly battered and fried, but their 4 tenders were only about 2 of your standard tenders. Pineapple slaw was bland and waffle fries were ok. Definitely not worth $ 10. A good attempt, but I expect something more tater centric. Service was great and staff was friendly. Order came out in less than 5 minutes. My gripe is that with a name like Twisted Tater you’d have thought it would have a bunch of crazy potato dishes. Not the case at all. I’d still go back for the Tater Tray as a snack with the kids.
