McDonald’s

It’s a new McDonald’s location. It’s definitely clean and comfy. I like how it looks inside, it’s very stylish and nothing like the older locations. The service is good. They get your food out quickly. They do have a flat screen TV for those staying in to eat. Only bad thing is the layout of the parking, which is awkward, and the double drive thru lanes. No one likes them! They’re messed up! You have to enter where the lights are, because if you enter on the next street up, you have to go around the whole frickin building to get into the stupid drive thru because of a 4 inch tall concrete bump barrier they put up around it.

I was asked to pull up for my 20 piece nuggets. 12 minutes later still waiting. Called twice since I have my kids in the car, they picked up the second time and the girls shouted to another one that I’m still waiting! They were laughing! Unbelievable. This location deserves 0 stars.

This is a terrible, terrible McDonalds! If you really need FAST food, go to the Wendy’s which is a block away, or go to the Jimmy John’s next door. If you’re looking for a cheap meal that’s good, go to the Highlander Grill!
I waited in line for 15 minutes to get my lunch. I ordered the southwest salad and a water. It took them another 7 – 10 minutes to bring me my food, then I had to wait another 3 minutes just to get my water! I watched the sad employee as she pressed the button on the machine for a large water, ran to the register to take another order, ran back to the machine only to see that the water didn’t fill, then to the register, then to the machine again.
Meanwhile there’s two people at one drive-​thru window trying to give people their food and drinks, dropping cups and straws all over the floor and not even bothering to clean up after their own chaos.
If I wasn’t in such a hurry, this would have been pretty comical.
Other people I know complained how they got their order wrong and how long it takes to get your food here. Apparently it’s well known in the area, don’t bother with this McDonalds!

I only go to this McDonald’s because it is down the street from me. Not anymore. Not only are the orders wrong, the food tastes like it has been sitting out. The sausage mcmuffin I ordered was burned. I’m talking black, couldn’t even bite into it. The place is dirty, there is no pride. Bathrooms were disgusting. A customer spilled their order and employees who were in the dining area saw and just stepped over it. Behind the counter, there were bags they put your order in on the floor. Instead of bending down to pick them up, they just kept stepping on them walking over them. Even the manager who came from the back, saw them and stood on them. Then went back to where she came from. Makes me wonder what they do with the food they might drop.

Absolutely the worst mc donalds I have ever been to. I got 2 sandwiches and a drink Waited 23 minutes to get to the second window and they ask me to pull up, then waited another 10 for them to bring it out. The other time I went they curbed me for 4 drinks and I waited for 15 minutes. The workers here are very rude I can only recall one employee that was good. I also don’t understand why they have a double drive thru if it just confuses them more than they already are confused.

cheeseburgers gave me the runs. To much salt in my egg Mc muffin. No streaks on the windows you can eat off them. Careful no to fall in love in the drive through. Bring yr own Ketchup to save money and add some to yr coffee.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve lived in Palos for 5 years now and this McDonald’s just gets worse and worse. Tonight I ordered a McDouble, a 6 piece nugget with sweet and sour sauce, a small fry and a large coke zero. Then I sat in line for 15 minutes before paying! Once I got to the window, I was beyond aggravated with my «fast food» experience, that I left without looking at my food (which I almost never do). When I got home, I realized that nothing about the food in my bag was what I ordered. I received a Big Mac, a 4 piece nugget with BBQ sauce, a large fry and a large Sprite. Seriously? God I hate this location!

I absolutely refuse to go to this McDonalds one more time– for a store that has been open at least 2 years now– and replaced the EXCELLENT McD’s up the road– this was is not worthy of the Golden Arches. Every time, and I mean every time– there is a mess up. Out of eggs this AM– so off to Mcd’s I go to get pancakes cause that is what the little one wants on Sunday AM. I go– order pancakes, large diet coke, hot chocolate and 2 hash browns– and a breakfast burrito meal. the pancakes were awesome, but how do they turn a breakfast burrito meal into a bagel with cheese, plastic eggs and bacon? and the hashbrowns– forget it– old, tasted like dirt and old grease. Last time i swear– i’ll drive out of the way next time– REFUSE REFUSE to go back ever again– just plain bad customer experience, food is bad quality and people inside are all gossiping and chatting

Slow service, rude employees who ignore their clients, dirty restaurant. Never will go back. RETRAINING IS IN STORE FOR THIS RESTAURANT!

Agreed. This is one of the worst mcdonalds! They are always soo slow and the food is always half fast. Esp the fries, they are complete waste of money. Everytime i order them, i get them old or cold. Management needs to step it up.

When the Hickory Hills McDonalds was moved from 95^th and 88^th ave to this location… I felt a mild sense of loss. Growing up in Hickory Hills, that old location was a staple. I recall countless days off school spent here having lunch with my Dad. Even as I grew up, having many friends work here… it was a bit of a hang out in my youth. So when it was moved to a location that seemed to be the most asinine location for a drive through business, I cringed. More than cringed really, I pretty much swore I’d never patron the location.
I’ve been here twice since it was built. Both times have come with tremendous disappointment. I’ve waited in ridiculously long lines only to have to fight traffic to leave. My latest visit here, I waited behind 6 cars — when I arrived at the second window I was handed my drink and asked to park because it will be «a minute» for my quarter pounder. There were no cars behind me when I was asked this. Having worked in fast food once before, I am fully aware this practice is done because they will not be able to fulfill the order in the 3 minutes corporate wants the order filled in. So they ask customers to pull out of line to cheat their computer system. Essentially, they are letting corporate think they are fulfilling orders much quicker than in reality… this is horrible management! So I get my order brought out to my car about 5 minutes later… Everything was fresh and hot — but I still had the sour taste in my mouth having helped them look good while I waited an absurd amount of time for a quarter pounder.

8 mins in the drive thru no cars at all in line, should we have stayed home today? There’s hardly any ice cream in the cup

This is one of the worst McDonald’s ever! They are slow and still make mistakes. When using the drive thru they usually make you pull up and wait.

This has to be one of the worst managed McDonald’s on the southwest side. Regardless of the time of the day you order from drive thru, you’ll be asked to curve your vehicle. And after a lengthy wait, your order will not be complete or they give you another customer’s order. I try my best to avoid this McDonald’s. I haven’t dined inside, hence cannot comment on their inside dining efficiency. However, their drive thru should be avoided at all cost.
UPDATE: On Sunday, December 1^st 2013, I returned to the drive thru due to my wife’s pleading so that I could buy lunch for my children. Business seemed slow, perhaps due to the Bears game. I placed my order and was told to park my vehicle and that someone would come out to deliver my order. I was not surprised I was instructed to park my vehicle, in spite of being the only vehicle in the drive thru lane. While waiting for my order, I had a sneaky suspicion the order would be incomplete or incorrect. When the order was brought to me, I requested for the bags to be inspected to make sure the order was complete. The fries were the wrong sizes. I sent the employee back into the restaurant so that my order could be complete. The employee returned to inform me that since I was not charged for larger fries, I would have to pay an additional amount of money ($ 2 bucks and change). I kindly requested a full refund and sent the employee into the restaurant with my debit card and the two bags of food. The manager came out a few minutes later and I explained to her kindly the purpose for my refund request. The extra value drinks arrived in a large size, but not the fries? I had specifically asked the «drive thru» employee if by agreeing to the «large» value meal,” would that included large fries as well? He acknowledged with a «YES.» To avoid having to give me a full refund and throw all the food away (assuming they don’t recycle their food), the manager brought me the large fries which were previously ordered. This entire ordeal lasted about 20 minutes. This McDonald’s can’t seem to get the orders right.

Last two visits here have been after 11pm and the service is extremely slow and when ordering three Mc Doubles three different ways, they always screw up my wives. Ticket both times has said No Onions and instead that is the only thing on it. Looks like I’ll need to drive to the one on Southwest Highway instead.

Good lord what a pit. I really think you have to have an low IQ to work here. EVERY TIME I am not kidding every singe time I come here there is a problem. I often order just a tea and for God knows what reason they can manage to mess that one up too. Every time I go through the drive thru I turn off my car because I know I’m in for a wait. Worst McDonalds in the world.

I was visiting a friend in a nursing home and she loses her screws for hash browns? So I’m at the double drive thru and I ordered the number 7. I ask if it comes with the hash browns because I try to never eat this crap. They guy says yes, tells me the total and tells me to drive up. I get to the window and he asks me if I had the number 1? So he rings up my order again and I give him my money. I pull up to the food window and the girl asks me if I had cream in the coffee? I have been thru this twice already. WTF! I pull out and I’m a dollar short, so I look in the bag and find another hash brown and he charged me for it. There are no napkins and the bottom of the bag is full of grease. Dude! That sausage sandwich was tiny. Who eats this shit?
