I have no idea why I chose to do my business with Computer Ants. But that’s neither here nor there. I told them what I wanted done. The woman said no problem…2 days… In 2 days it was done. She had quoted me a price and actually charged me less. Now that is what I pray for and never get from a business! They charged me by the work it took them to do it! When I got home there were some glitches that weren’t something noticable without using it. I called a ½ hour after they closed to leave a message and the man Mike went on my computer remotely and worked for about 1 ½ hours, then he worked more hours the next day to fix it. It wasn’t complicated it was tedious but he still did it. I am a customer for life. Try them out. You’ll see what I mean.

PROS * After my service with Computer Ants, my computer is noticeably faster. * I also think that for the length of time that they took, $ 89 was not such a bad price for service. CONS * I took my computer in on Friday, June 26th. The young lady who was working the counter said that it would probably be ready the following Monday. No problemo. Long story, short… the computer was eventually ready Wednesday afternoon. I honestly don’t think that they started looking at the laptop until Monday or Tuesday.
* My computer or satisfaction did not seem to be a high priority to them. * I was not treated as a valued and respected customer. I was addressed as a «job» and not as a person with feelings. * Another huge negative is that Mike, the owner, is condescending, rude, and talks over those with whom he converses. He plainly states that he considers anyone over 50 years of age to be complete and utter morons concerning computer technology. I found it to be quite infuriating to be lectured to as if I were a petulant five year old. * I would also have liked a written detailed account of what they did /found on my computer, rather than a «um, here you go, your bill is xxx,» response. PS: I think my whole connectivity issue was a four year old router that gave up the ghost. I replaced it with a new, state of the art, router that I bought at . If I had been treated more courteously, I may have bought the $ 100 router from Computer Ants. SUMMARY: The ultimate rating question, would I come here again for services? Probably, but not definitely. Computer Ants did a good job for me, and the prices were reasonable, but I would cringe at the thought of having to interact with them again. I probably would try someone else, and I’m sure that they could care less.
