Ninety-seven degrees in the shade means that it’s a good day for something cold… like a giant vanilla milkshake. This DQ is probably two hundred yards from the locally famous Snack Bar restaurant. I pulled up and ended up walking all the way around the building because I couldn’t figure out where one ordered. The windows were louvered and the food is handed to the customer through a small door. I’ve seen banks that didn’t have security this tight. I ordered an XL vanilla milkshake with the instructions«make it good and thick.» It took several minutes but the young girl who made the milkshake delivered upon those instructions. The price was something like $ 4.40. YOLO! The vanilla milkshake was as good as those that I had in the good olé days of the 1970’s, and that’s saying a lot. This was a five star milkshake, good and thick without any fake vanilla taste(aka McDonald’s). My next door neighbor, the sweetest lady that you’ll ever meet, owns this business, so I’m not going to give the place less than four stars. I will come here again during the summer.
