No mistake. The on-duty later evening employee cracked inappropriate jokes at this location. I was contacted by Unilocal, stating this must have been a mistake on my part… Nope. FYI night manager… Do not ever crack a joke about«fat girls getting their donut fix.» Your location deserves this one-star review. PS — read the«not recommended review,» by AJ. He also refers to inappropriate jokes and comments at this location.

* Excellent Viewmont location, which opened in 2013, right next door to Jimmy John’s. * Super clean when they originally opened — their sanitation grade in January 2013 was 99.5%. Recently, that rating has slipped a bit to 96.5%. Their sanitation rating trend shows a slow marginal decline in cleanliness over the past three years.
Most disturbing is taking a closer look at their most recent SR posting violations from June 19, 2015. Apparently their walk-in cooler was not working properly, so employees were told by management to «manipulate» temperature logs lower than the actual cooler settings. The food was properly disposed of during state health inspection. I hope that Dunkin’ corporate addresses these management issues. * Friendly staff and management when the store originally opened. Recent reviews however are becoming predominantly negative, because of some of the immature drive-thru staff’s attitudes and rudeness. Good management would not tolerate such behavior. * Convenient drive-thru at this location. * Pastries were fresh and delicious when they first opened. * Some customers have complained about their decreasing stock of pastries over the course of a day. I find this to be «typical» in every DD that I have ever visited, and probably true for ANY donut shop in general. The selection is best at opening. * Small parking lot. * Difficult to exit right onto Center Street /Hwy 127, due to traffic at the stoplight.

I’ve been going to this Dunkin Donuts since it opened a couple of years ago, it’s the only one in this part of Hickory. When it first opened it was great, people nice, bagels good, etc. Since I moved a little further away it’s not convenient, I have to drive now, so I have only gone a few times in the last year and every time it has been worse. The first time I went back since I moved, probably a couple months after the last time, everything was smaller but the prices were the same. One instance I had to call the manager because there was a ridiculously, sloppy amount of cream cheese on my bagel — enough for 3 bagels, it was gross. We have had missing donuts or wrong donuts, cold coffee. But last week was it for me, I was up at 4:00 am and really wanted a bagel so I went over there about 5:30 — 6:00 am and the staff was making fun of a person in drive thru not realizing I had come into the store. No apologies for that. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, med. coffee and two donuts for my husband. When I got home, about 5 minutes away, the coffee was lukewarm. When I opened the bagel there wasn’t enough cream cheese for one bagel, it was toasted but chewy, like it had been microwaved because it was stale. This was right after they opened the doors for the day! Maybe they need to stick to just donuts. I will be going to Panera Bread the next time I get the urge for a bagel and coffee.
