Party City of Hickory

Normally Party City is easy to get around in, but as we get closer to Halloween, the more crowded the store becomes. It’s a lot of fun to look at all the gory and spooky decorations and to check out the latest costumes. Unfortunately, most of the costumes these days are ridiculously cheaply made (or has it always been that way?). Hopefully one of the fifteen people that tried on that mask before you didn’t have a runny nose. The store was well staffed when I visited. The line was long but they radio ahead to the stock room to get any costumes ready for try on. I was waved on to use the Men’s Room as a fitting room. I can understand the efficiency behind this, but what if someone had just made a big stinky in there? Do I want to change clothes in an excrement fog? Do I want to change clothes in between a dirty trashcan and toilet? I decided to be a sport and go with the flow. I still really like this place. Tons of themes for any kind of party. Balloons and candy. Fast check out. Bonus points for the cool hearse parked out front!
