Okay, it is authentic, I’ll give it that. But there is NOTHING on the menu for vegetarians except a cheese quesadilla. And sure, it was good, but it was nothing special. The service was fine, the food came out quickly, but it was just nothing to write home about. I’m sure there aren’t many people in this shitty town who care about animal rights, but this place was full of taxidermy and there was a giant picture on the back of the menu of a group of women holding down a cow while branding. I almost got up and left before she could come back with the chips. And what’s even worse, I have this terrible, greasy taste in my mouth, almost like all of my food was cooked in some kind of animal fat. So if you don’t care about animals and you want authentic Mexican food, this is probably the place to go, but as for me, I know I’ll never step foot in there again.

Never again! No flavor to the salsa. No margaritas. No chimichangas. Didn’t even know what they were. Some of our food came out on paper plates… the rest on mismatched platters. Service was great but wow… it was an «experience».

Shocking, amazing, delicious, mind blowing pico de gallo. Worth a trip for that alone.

Best Mexican in Hickory-authentic Mexican! Only Mexican I am willing to pay for in Hickory. All the others are okay but authentic is the way to go. Ask for the pico(it’s free and has avocado!); they normally only give salsa and chips to non-hispanics. Super reasonable prices. Tortas are the best I’ve had-warm and soft. Wouldn’t recommend the horchata it’s just powder. Had a tostada the other day with chicken which had fresh tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, crema, and crumbled cheese on top. Yum! I want to try the meat that is only on Friday and Saturdays, probably won’t go back to chicken. =p Staff is pretty friendly; have been there several times and never had an issue. Music is pretty loud so don’t expect an intimate environment, but I didn’t mind. Bathrooms are pretty dirty…
