I took part in the 2013 wine making season in a friends group. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for the 2014 season. It is a lot of fun and very affordable. You are able to taste any wine you like before you make your decision on what grapes you choose. You can even make your own custom labels for your vintage at no extra cost. The wine we produced in 2013 was a super Tuscan and tastes great! I am looking forward to getting back there to press our grapes and let it age in an oak barrel.

I am half way through the wine making process(I’ve destemmed, sorted, crushed, pressed and barreled) of my very own Pinot Noir. Well mine and about 24 others. I was gifted this great class to attend with a friend(who got it through Living Social local deals). Funny thing was another friend had just been telling me about finishing her wine here that same week. Next up for our class in the spring will be racking(I’m sure they told me what that is but hey they were also pouring unlimited«tastes» too) and bottling in the summer. We will even get to design your own label for our creation. I am by no means a Connoisseur but I do know what I like. Both Vinny and Gianni entertained with stories of winemaking and grapes and were never wine snobby. Offering tastes of previous Vintages and little noshes of cheese, bread, olive oil and on one occasion woodfired Pizza made for an enjoyable afternoon. This is a great adventure for folks who want to spend time with a friend, meet new like minded friends or who perhaps might want to make this a team/client building experience. The process is as simple or tedious as you want to make it because the two guys who are running it let you do as much or as little work as you want, getting your hands dirty or staying clean standing back and just watching. I will update after my wine is bottled. Nice little article:
