I received a Christmas gift from my mom of these beautiful hanging glass feathers. I was so excited about hanging these in front of my windows. One of them arrived damaged from shipping. Which is not their fault. They immediately sent me a new one to my address in California.
Recently, I was hanging them. And my favorite one dropped and shattered. They are sold as a set online and, I only needed the one. I knew I had an amazing experience with them before, so I just thought I would write an e-​mail to them on the off chance they would have an extra round peacock feather without its mates.
Sarah wrote back and told me she did!
I immediately called and spoke with Bea (who helped me the first time as well). I now paid for it and have it coming in the mail. I couldn’t be happier! Bea is super understanding and so nice! This place is amazing and I look forward to purchasing more online from them in the future!

Beautiful store in many more ways than one:
Firstly, the SCENT inside the store is aromatherapeutic, but not in a strong herb doctor or mentholated way. It’s a gentle smell, perhaps a mixture of the candles /​soaps /​parfums /​teas they carry.
Secondly, the ladies that work there are warm and inviting, welcoming us to the shop /​offering complimentary iced or hot tea /​providing overall GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Next-​ly (if that’s a word? and I know it’s 3^rd, I can count, for really), the items offered are a beautiful array of HANDMADE PRODUCTS in a wide price range for:
_​home décor (furniture & accessories),
_​bath (soaps, perfumes, candles),
_​kitchen (some utensils, tea pots, mugs)
_​children (clothes, toys),
_​wearables (jewelry, some clothing, flash tats)
_​gifts (cards, all of the above, and did I mention flash tats? ^ _​^)
Let’s talk about FLASH TATS some more! Flash tats are these fun metallic temporary tattoos that adults can wear and that I first noticed some yogis wearing about a year ago. I’m into them these days — I came in wearing some — and chatted w/​one of the ladies there about the small 2-​pack of gold feather flash tats I was holding while she packaged the delicious tea I was purchasing.
She said that her flash tats lasted her about 2 weeks which, if you’re familiar with flash tats, you know that not all of them are made equal. Some come right off when you put them on but the ones sold here are long-​lasting!

She also explained that the tea I was purchasing which was the hot tea sample of the day — Cinnamon Vanilla Rooibos (red in color and looking lovely in the clear glass teapot heated by a tea light candle below it — which I think they sell and I wish I took a photo) was only 1 tbsp of the blend steeping for a few hours, and that it won’t (and hadn’t) become bitter. Also, the proceeds for this tea vendor go towards AIDS research! Gold star with a cherry on top!

After I purchased the tea and flash tats (9^th mention here, haha!), I said to keep the change and instead of keeping in the register or putting it into a tip jar, they put it into a jar for DONATING TO CHARITY (which one I don’t recall)! 2^nd gold star with a cherry on top, a la mode (oui, that is vanilla ice cream).
So come here if you’re looking for a gift for yourself or someone else! It’s a lovely experience for the senses in this lovely atmosphere of Nectar.

Beautiful and unique handcraft selections. Similar to the style of Antholologie stores. Cool kids section. Must check it out in High Falls area.

I learned about this darling shop via Instagram. Their online shop is so dreamy and I would love to visit the actual store someday. I ordered online and my package was stolen! So terrible. People are messed up. Thankfully, the shop owner Jenny is not. She’s absolutely lovely. I emailed them to tell them what happened and Jenny called me to see what she could do to get me what I need in time for Christmas.
A call directly from the owner was really great service. I was impressed. She couldn’t make the package magically become unstolen but she wanted to do what she could to make good. It wasn’t her fault and that right there is great service, to talk to me and try to work something out.
The staff was really great while ordering too. Nina was kind to shoot me an email confirming my order within minutes of placing it and provided me with tracking info. Even in their email communications, they are cheery. I hope to make another purchase again.

Although I am often in the New Paltz area, I only stumbled upon Nectar 2 years ago while on vacation nearby. Aside from being IN LOVE with practically everything in the store (from amazing bohemian furniture, to cute home items (I can’t resist the pillows!!), to handmade items (made by Bea), I am also blown away by the level of customer service I receive every time I go in there –which I make a point to do whenever I am in the area.
The last time I was in there I was greeted (as always) with a fresh brewed tea, and when I mentioned my engagement I later received an email follow up from Bea with information on venues I may like, wedding décor they offer and simply her best wishes! I would recommend this store to anyone looking for amazing customer service, unique products, and an overall pleasing experience that will certainly entice you to return.
Thanks to the ladies at nectar for giving us something to look forward to whenever we are in High Falls!
