The Chopped BBQ Sandwich here continues to be a personal favorite, one that I much prefer to Stamey’s, which just won a vote for best BBQ Sandwich in North Carolina in a poll conducted by and USAToday. For me it is about the texture of the meat(here they go with a medium chop), and the Red BBQ Slaw, which has the perfect tartness, and blends very well with the meat. In fact, the BBQ slaw is so good here, I even eat it on a hot dog, something I rarely do.

I’ll admit I’v eonly had the BBQ Sandwich here and fries but they were good and the sandwich was piled high with BBQ. For the location near my work and the drive thru, this is a pretty good place for Lexington-style BBQ. No disappointments so far, except maybe the fries could use a little bit of seasoning, but that’s a personal preference.

Pretty good. Grew up on Lexington BBQ and found theirs to be good. Have not had the sides. Lacks atmosphere like most bbq restaurants but at least the bbq is good.

Use to think there was no place like Speedy’s BBQ in Lexington however The past few times I was at Speedy’s there were so many tough pieces of BBQ it made my opinion change. My brother suggested Archdale BBQ about 2 years ago and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. BBQ is very tasty, slaw is good, fries are good and even their donut shaped hush puppies are good. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that loves BBQ as much as I do.

Good BBQ, good sweet tea, good service! I’ve been a happy customer since I was in High School. I’m a fan of their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have great cobblers too, so dessert as well.

Love this place! The prices are great and the food is always delicious. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this great restaurant.

I come to this area a few times a year. First time trying Archdale BBQ. It was very good. Had sliced plate with brown outside meat-very good. Hush puppies and slaw were both very good. Friendly staff especially Bailey Mark Weinberger Augusta, Ga

As far as bbq in the area goes, this has to be one of my favorites, easily beating the likes of Carter bros, Country etc. The business is on a private lot with adequate parking. The inside is decently sized and always clean. We usually have the same one or two waitresses, and they are always friendly and essentially know what we order before we can say it. I always get one thing, the chopped pork plate with 2 extra buns. The plate comes with their awesome red slaw, fries and hush puppies. The fries are stock crinkle cut freezer fries. The hush puppies are larger and in ring form. They are also quite delicious. I love making my own bbq sandwiches with the extra buns and the slaw. The slaw is always fresh and has amazing flavor, especially combo ed with the bbq. I think their bbq is juicy and flavorful, with little to no reason for me to add any sauce to it to enjoy. The serving size you get vs cost is also a good value. The business is locally owned and operated. The wife and I will continue to drop hard earned cash at this bbq joint.

I decided to go for a BBQ dinner 2 nights in a row to compare 2BBQ joints in the area I am staying. As a result, I like the one I tried last night much better. This one, first of all, the place was empty at 7:30pm. I went in anyway hoping for a pleasant surprise. I bought a ½ BBQ chicken with cole slaw and hush puppies and two additional sides — green beans & onion rings. Before I left the store, I asked for a plastic knife and a fork. A young lady who packed my food said they were in the container. Three things that disappointed me were: 1. Knife was not packed. 2. No BBQ sauce on the chicken or on the side. 3. The chicken tasted dry and not flavorful. Next time in in the area, I will just stick with the other one of my favorites.

This is how BBQ should be– which is why I go every chance I get when I’m in NC visiting the family. The onion rings are perfectly crispy, but not overly so. The slaw is delicious(BBQ slaw is good too, but it’s tangier). The hush puppies. Oh, the hush puppies. They are the best ones I’ve ever had. Ever. Ever.

Once in the front door sorta gives you that fast food feel. Sign said to order at the counter till 8 am than take a table. I was here for lunch I wanted Q. Ordered a chopped sandwich, hotdog mustard chili slaw &onions plus a side of hushpuppies. Not much of a smoky taste that I look for when eating BBQ. My sandwich was thick with meat plus their slaw was very tasty. I did ad the extra sauce from the bottle on the the table which had a hint of heat which I liked. The Q sandwich was tender. My hotdog was brown, chili was good, I ordered white slaw on my dog and it was a good mayo based slaw. Hushpuppies where doughnut style, had a good taste. My meal was good. My tea was good. I think my bill was 8 – 9 bucks not bad. They offered BBQ by the pound several different options. They have a drive-thru if your in a hurry for a biscuit and cup of Joe. I liked it.

Best BBQ in the Archdale/Trinity area hands down. Service is great, everything is reasonably priced, and the food is awesome. If you opt for a chopped bbq sandwich, that can get a bit messy. I recommend a tray or plate. I appreciate the onion flavor in the hushpuppies and that they are cooked a deep golden brown, making them really crisp.
